Great vid. Considering the same guitar down to the color even. I’ve got mostly single coil guitars and am hoping this gets me into metal and punk territory.
Can you post a link to that jack replacement?? I completely agree I gig with a wireless and the right angle cable doesn’t fit a couple of guitars because of the jack. Great vid. I just picked up one of these and I’m adding a rolling bender to mine! If I can get ahold of two of those saddles I’ll replace the other. Oh and I subscribed. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! Here is one on Amazon, but they’re readily available all over the place…though prices have gone up a little bit probably due to the same reason as everything else (Covid!)… www.amazon.com/Electrosocket-Jack-Plate-Telecasters®-Polished/dp/B00U531UY2
Nice video and nice playing! When you replaced the tuners, how did you deal with the fact that the length/height of the stock tuners vary? Can you even buy Fender locking tuners that have that variation in length/height for n the same set?
I personally like the staggered height because you have a better chance of not needing to use the string tree. I am pretty sure that Fender sells the locking tuners 2 ways...one has 3 long/3 short, and then one has all short.
great tones. Dont know why the heck im looking or even thinking of buying anything. Ive got a Gibson 339. But this really sounds great. Itd look amazing with black headstock thats all i got against it
@@EJBGuitar Mystic green with rosewood fretboard and black headstock. That would be nice. I used to not care whatsoever what I played as long as I had something to write music with and record. Now Im 53 and Complaining about a headstock. I never wouldve even noticed stuff like this years ago
Great review. Thank you for posting. Other vids have reported "micrphonic" issues with the bridge pickup. Was wondering if you have had similar experience ?
@@johnhennessey5 Yes. I've owned it for a about 6 months now. Am very happy with it. The large head is not my thing, but that is only aesthetic. I recently also tried the cunife version and in terms of tone, I could not rate it above the AmPro II.
@@leoolivero963 appreciate it the fast reply, I was thinking of buying the Pro 2 as well. Did you experience that “microphonic” issue in the bridge pickups that you were talking about?
Hey man, is the neck feel more strat or more Tele? I am not a strat guy I like Gibsons or teles. And a rolled neck is a must. What say you? I hate buying online because I can’t feel it, but I know a Tele feel, I don’t know this one. Is there a PC board under that pickguard?
Doesn't appear to be anything under the pickguard other than what should be! No PCB. As far as the neck, it's a tad beefier than the Strats and Teles I've played from Fender over the past few years...it's a very comfortable profile IMO...too hard to describe a neck feel via words though!
Very impressed with all the new USA Fender instruments. Every time I pick one up I'm consistently impressed.
Yeah, this one really impressed me too!
I like your playing a lot! The guitar is gorgeous
Thanks - appreciate that.
Gorgeous tones. I have had one since March and the pickups are awesome. 😍
Thanks! Yeah they are great pickups.
Nice demo man! Refreshing to see a skilled, clean player doing guitar reviews. Thank you.
Thank you so much, appreciate the kind words!
A , J Maskis mention. Kudos !! I have the 2023 model of yours & love it. Have to check that replacement bridge.
The guitar is beautiful, but your playing is even better! Great review!
Thank you so much- appreciate that!
Great review! This is the best vid I've seen for really showing off that mercury finish, nice job!
Thanks so much - appreciate it!

@@EJBGuitar Thanks for the quick reply man. Cheers! Love that you played some ballsy stuff here and showed the range of tones.

Thanks! Yeah, I totally agree about the headstock. In fact, I wish more companies (especially Fender) would do more matching headstocks.

Nice, thinking about picking one up soon. Also, whats the name of the last song you played?
If you’re talking about IN the video, it was Square Hammer by Ghost…If you mean over the pictures and the credits, it was one of my originals. Thanks.

I have not had that experience.

I have read some people saying you need to ''wax pot" the pickups to not get bad feedback when using gain. Have you found this? Thanks
No, i haven’t heard that. I don’t get any more feedback than any other guitar through my rig.
@@EJBGuitar ok thanks! I actually just picked the guitar up tonight. I love it

Yeah, I always try and mention any changes I do to my guitars, which I did in this video as well.
Crazy bout a Mercury
