    Awesome chart! The thing is Job hopping like this is risky, if you do it too many times (2 or more) other companies will see this and be less likely to hire you on. They want stable / structured individuals that will invest their career with them.

    • @work2remotejobs
      @work2remotejobs  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thanks, and great points. For higher up roles, I agree. But I typically move every year or two and things have been great

    • @brent7261
      @brent7261 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@work2remotejobs It’s a tricky road… I could see it for people that are making below 70k (jr-mid corp roles) but once you get to that level or above you’re typically dealing more with Sr leadership. And hopping is not widely acceptable with potential new employers. My experience is usually hold every 3 years. After a year it’s still too fresh.

      @@brent7261 I have to disagree with you. The higher up I got salary-wise, the more I job-hopped. Initially, I started with 2.5 years, then went down to 2 years/job, and now at around 1.5 years/job. If you want to be in a senior management role, you are absolutely right. However, if you just want to make a lot of money, then job-hopping works well.

    • @brent7261
      @brent7261 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LannisterFromDaRock this is all relative… what field are you in? And exactly, those senior leadership roles that make $300k+ will want structured dedicated people to spend their careers in that company and lots of ass kissing too.

      @@brent7261 I'm working as a Data Engineer for a Silicon Valley AI startup riding the latest hypetrain. Previously I was a Software Engineering Consultant for various companies. Before that, I was a lone Senior Software Engineer, Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, etc. I think it is more important to who are you working for than what is your role (salary-wise). Not at 300k+ but quite close.

    Wait, so for sales roles, you’re saying focus on one company at a time? As in get the director or manager title in the first company then move onto the second company and get paid more and just focus on getting the 180k in the next company? So don’t do 2 sales remote jobs at once?

    • @work2remotejobs
      @work2remotejobs  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm not telling you what to do, I'm only stating this as a possibility.
      If I were doing this myself with little to no experience, I would: Work sales J1 > Get promoted > Use my new title to get paid more somewhere else (Either as a J2 or just my only job) > Continue
