The SJA Residence, a country house nestled in the interior of São Paulo, is a testament to the harmonious interplay of architecture and nature. Designed by Triplex Arquitetura, the house embodies the clients' desire for a flexible and open living space that seamlessly integrates with the surrounding landscape.
The architects masterfully achieved this by conceiving a spacious social area that can be completely transformed. Large sliding glass doors and pivoting doors adorned with wooden mashrabiya gracefully dissolve the boundaries between indoors and outdoors, inviting the lush greenery to permeate the living spaces. This fluidity creates a dynamic environment that effortlessly transitions from a cozy living room to an expansive outdoor balcony and a vibrant gourmet area.
To further enhance the connection with the natural surroundings, the house is thoughtfully built on two levels, taking full advantage of the sloping terrain. The main entrance, discreetly positioned at street level, belies the house's true scale. From the welcoming entrance hall, bathed in natural light and boasting double-height ceilings, one ascends to the bedroom level. Descending a staircase enveloped by verdant landscaping, residents arrive at the heart of the home - the office and the expansive social area.
