I can’t even imagine putting on foundation without skin care and sunscreen. I live in a very dry geographical area. Dry skin is fundamentally different from oily skin!

I love the slight glow you got with the d'alba spray. It gives so much life to the skin! Wondered how both side wore, and if the side with the spay wore better. Thanks Laura Rae!
It really makes all the difference doesn't it? The side with the spray definitely has more glow and looks more hydrated. As the day went on, the d'alba side looked beautiful and the side with only foundation looked dry and flat looking. My fine lines looked much more noticeable on the side without the serum. Perfect timing! I got this foundation and have tried it twice. Looked good at first but then my 65 yo face turned into the desert! I live in SW Florida and we are so dry right now. I have been eyeing the d’alba and now have a good reason. Thank you.
The d'alba makes such a difference with how hydrated my face feels. If your skin is really dry you could spray it on before foundation, spray your sponge when you apply, and then go over your skin when you are done as a setting spray. This will make such a difference. xoxo

D'alba is great in that it allows more matte foundations to go on smoothly. I love to use it in the winter time with my matte foundations.
I did discover NYX Glaze skin tint SPF 30. I love it because it gives me light coverage and it smooths my complexion without looking like a glazed doughnut however I will not be using it in the summer because I have combination skin which then becomes more oily in the summer time and I only use minimal powder in the T-zone. I do put on a hefty amount of Olay SPF 40 and allow it to absorb for 30 minutes before putting on any foundation even if they have built in SPF.

You could try it a couple of ways to see what works best for your skin. You might want to use it like a serum during your skincare routine and apply your sunscreen as the last step. If your skin is dry, you may also want to spray some on your sponge or brush if you are applying foundation or use it as a setting spray for your last step. xoxo

I just ordered to spray and sponge, do you use a primer or a concealer, it always looks dry when I use concealer
Great content! I am going to try this foundation soon. Would you say that it stays hydrated through the day with the spray? My skin is on the dryer side. I use the It CC cream and like it except for it lack of longevity. I want to try this but I am a little bit of a foundation snob...😬🙄😂
For me, with the d'alba I did not need to add any more spray after the video. That side of my face stayed hydrated all day and I was really happy with the look. I have combination skin, but it has been a bit dryer lately because of the cold weather we have been having. xoxo

Hi Laura I think it has fragrance half way down the INCI list (or at least the sites I have seen it on list fragrance). This has stopped me ordering it as my rosacea and eczema will not tolerate fragrance. Best wishes x

What do you find works best to clean long wear foundation out of those puffs?
I usually use Ivory soap but it doesn't get all of the stain out of the puffs. I can see the water running clear, so I know they are clean. I will experiment and see if anything else will get them looking new. xoxo
I use rosewater with glycerine or aloe gel. Inexpensive and pure
I tried rosewater but I actually broke out in a rash. I wish I could use it. So happy you are enjoying it! xoxo

No where is sunscreen mentioned! Where and when is the absolute necessary sunscreen placed????? :(
There are different variations you could use depending on how dry your skin is. You could apply then d’alba, then sunscreen, foundation, and use the d’alba as a setting spray. I use sunscreen daily and have talked about sunscreen in numerous videos. I see this is your first time commenting, so welcome to my channel. Thanks so much for watching!❤️
At 9:21 both wrinkles look the same. The truffle spray does nothing at all. It's better to use Mac fix+ for a fresh slighrtly glowy look.
