hi jewels! we hit 15,000 subscribers on this channel wow! I'm so excited, now road to 20k? a lot of emotions in this video but I hope you guys are caught up how I ran into trouble this week and to never be like me. always scan the situation and know what you deserve or you will be resentful like me...😭
While you are allowed to feel frustrated or disappointed making an entire video and saying ur traumatized over a cake is just so ignorant. So many people throw that word around like it has so meaning. I’m glad your definition of trauma is not liking a cake design. So ignorant. Why would anyone even think of suing her for emotional damage over a cake?????
I actually agree with the baker, you said you were open to modifications if the cake could not be done exact, which it could not so they modified. Also whipped cream is nowhere near stable enough for all the designs you wanted. It would have literally melted
I've noticed all she cares for is money she always mentions PR AND AMAZON LINKS and sponsors. She acts sad and passive aggressive when she doesn't get what she wants
how can a birthday cake design that didnt fit what you wanted 'traumatize' you? nothing in life doesn't always turn out the way you want and you're getting all pissy over a *birthday cake*. i literally dont get how that can somehow 'traumatize' you because trauma's a lifelong thing that can seriously affect people. it sounds more like you got way too spoiled for a child and grew up to think you were so entitled to everything perfect. literally just admit that you got pissed and threw an absolute tantrum over it instead of claiming you got 'traumatized'.
Why are you saying "some local people in small towns don't really care about aesthetics". Regardless even if you live in a "big beautiful city" theres always going to be some people not fitting to your aesthetics. You should really fix that mentality esp for your age.
@@julieisfilming what im saying is just common sense. Like how does a town size correlate with aesthetics. When in reality theres always going to be some people not fitting to your aesthetics whether or not you live in a big or small town. LOL
@@xx-gz1gt It's not about them not caring about aesthetics, It's more about them trying to help understand and fit into other aesthetics, like use your creativity and thinking, that's why you're a baker, you can choose whatever kind of style to put in the cake. Julie CLEARLY showed an image that is different to what they usually do, if they're unable to do such task, why not say so instead of just messing everything up last minute-- as well as not even getting the coloring and food right. She didn't pick buttercream and they didn't listen, what if she would've had an allergic reaction and consumed it?
@@julieisfilming uhm, Julie.... You didn't get scammed! It is your responsibility to tell the bakery at time of pick up how disappointed you were. Not be polite and then make a video..also a birthday should not be ruined bcof the cake that's ridiculous
@@Savage_lovextsa It's kinda like going through the drivethrough and getting home only to see that your order got messed up. Shit happens in life, but things could have been avoided if you had checked what's in the bag before you drove all the way home and gotten your order corrected. She skipped that last part and just let her feelings of disappointment fester, and at that point that was on her.
You did not get scammed you said to make any modifications, which the designers did maybe next time don't let them do what they want. That's your fault right there.
No the cake that was made looked like poopoo at least the bear did. She showed a picture of what she wanted and the cake maker said she could deliver. She didn’t deliver.
Reading the chats between you guys, she seemed really nice (bcoz if you really got scammed i don't think you would be able to get a refund or text back and forth with them - they would blocked you first and not you lol) maybe there's just some miscommunications between you guys. Next time, instead of saying you are open to any modifications said you WANT that design and flavor and reach out to you ASAP if they can't do it. Yes, cake is important but to let cake(?) ruined the whole mood of your mom's birthday is a bit too overdramatic to me. Some don't even or can't even have cake to celebrate their birthday.
I agree with this comment. I feel like she uses the word “traumatized” so loosely especially when there’s people who truly are traumatized from life changing/traumatic events. Also where are the other reference photos that were sent. The cake decorator stated she took references from the multiple photos she sent. So if you’re going on social media and making a video about being “scammed” but only showing one photo to compare the cake you wanted when in actuality you sent multiple reference photons. If you’re buying a cake that was custom made wouldn’t it make sense to look at the cake before leaving the shop to make sure it’s what you wanted? How are you going to “realize after the fact” that the cake wasn’t what you wanted but you already ate it or cut into it? I don’t know, Julie is a sweet person and its okay to be upset about not getting exactly what you wanted but at the same time I wouldn’t call this a scam or pin it on the cake decorator/business or to shame the decorator for not saying sorry when she never did it intentionally, she didn’t intentionally decide to ruin someone’s cake or birthday.
@@jennyg8835 uhm, I only sent her 1 specific cake design in the cake form....that's the part the baker lied about. and just to clear up what was going through my mind picking up was that it was a cake I was waiting for a whole week, then the fridge thing happened, and then having to come home after all that to come empty handed to my mom? it was initial shock for me whether you think it was serious or not. and if you continued watching the video, we didn't even touch/eat the cake and that's why I was able to get full 100% refund. trauma comes in all forms and sizes and it sucks that you think mines isn't valid.
@@julieisfilming you didn’t go empty handed? You stated you looked at the cake in the car and still decided to go home. You’re shaming the cake decorator saying “did she not realize she took that away from my mom.” You’re not being very fair or understanding of the cake decorator because you’re painting her in such a negative light as if she meant to ruin your cake or your moms birthday on purpose. I never said your feelings were invalid, you’re just overdramatizing a situation that could have been handled differently on both parties. I’m sure the cake decorator isn’t sitting in front of a camera shaming you for crying or being upset over the cake not coming out how you wanted it to. And yes using “I’m so traumatized/ it was such a traumatic experience” can be seen as inappropriate or belittling to those people who have truly gone through traumatic life changing experiences. Did the cake change your life in any way? No, you got upset, cried about it, got your money back (which was what you wanted) and it’s over with, like shouldn’t you be happy you got your money back? I don’t see how that would be traumatic, it’s just a cake. It would have been a whole other situation if the cake decorator was rude af or did not give you a refund but that wasn’t the case at all, she seemed very understanding and wasn’t rude at all. You’re the one who blocked her and for what? Lol. Seems kind of childish to block the cake decorator even though you got your money back. I felt like here you didnot have content so you dragged the topic . It was really not big of the deal the you made a whole video on it , how were you " traumatized " really?
Having worked in a bakery, it seemed as though they didn't discover that the cake needed redecorating until you arrived. This is likely days after the original decorator had compiled the correct color swatches. Because they didn't want to make you wait too long, they had to use the colors (and icing) they had on hand. I'm sure the original decoration was closer to what you requested. That being said, they tried to charge you full price for a cake they essentially slapped together last minute. They should have at least offered you a discount. And then to initially reject your request for a refund? Your feelings are valid.
her fridge clearly malfunctioned and her icing work on the cake “melted off” and she probably rushed redoing the icing in the 2hours that you had to wait extra. in my opinion, she should of AT LEAST given 50-100% of your money back as she wasn’t honest with you upfront telling you what had happened at 11:30 when she contacted you. and due to that you got a half assed cake
I understand how u feel bout your cake. I paid $65 for a mold chocolate valentine box. It came with candy and fruits and a hammer to crack open the heart.. The pic of her past orders looked pretty cute! I was unable to pick up because that morning I received a call for my kidney transplant. 🙏🙏 my sister picked up the valentine box and delivered it to my boyfriend. I didn't ask bout it until 2 wks later. He sent me a pix and I was disappointed. She made the heart chocolate blue!! I never order blue heart and it was missing decoration on the heart. Basically It didn't turn out like the pic. I msg her, she apologized and said her helper messed up, offered no money portion back, only offered discount for next time.. like did she really think I was gonna order from her again. Anyway thats my story. 🤣😂
In April I had a cake made for my sons 5th birthday. It was supposed to be a pirate cake. I sent a photo and I even ordered a sword off Amazon for the cake. It was supposed to look like the sword was going through the cake. I went to pick the cake up and it looked nothing like the photo I sent her. She supposedly forgot to use the sword and the writing on the cake looked terrible AND the cake feel apart on the ride home. 😳 For a cake and 20 cookies they charged me $350. I, like you, which I would’ve said something but I just paid and left. Lesson learned from now own I’ll stick to grocery store cakes.

@@julieisfilming Me too. The Karens I know have been very nice, but they have confessed to me that the Karen trend does hurt them. I'm glad you got a refund Julie and I hope your mom had a nice birthday. :)
Julie as a cake artist, i really need to know if the cake was chilled or u put it near the aircon? Cuz its possible the cake soften bcuz ur car is a bit hot inside… but sorry for what happened about the cake👁👄👁
You were right to go and tell them. Honestly it’s not about being a “Karen” it’s about the fact that you PAID for their service and if they say they can recreate the cake then they SHOULD recreate it or don’t say anything at all.
You didn't have to pay for Julie did. How does her experience upset you? If the baker couldn't do it, she could've said something to the customer simple.
Your way too sheltered if this is traumatizing. Seriously, its not that deep. Get therapy if this is the shit that makes you crumble. Your a sweet girl but life is only going to get harder and its your fault for NOT clearly communicating. She was trying to reconcile the problem so don't call this a scam. Grow up.
It's not that deep but took time out of your day to write a paragraph telling her to go to therapy boo you clicked on HER vlog on HER channel if she wants to cry and complain she can. Who are you to gaslight and invalidate her feelings? Those people still charged full price for a late and half-assed cake, genius. That would sound like a scam to a lot. She gave them plenty of time to have it together. They just as easily could have offered a discount or her money back for having any issue that delayed her cake to begin with... You say she needs to "grow up" but she was never ever outwardly fussy or rude to the workers she was actually kind and patient throughout the entire process despite this being a big deal for her and doing something nice for her mom who she loves so much. But she decided to only show her vulnerable and honest views about the experience in her vlog with her Jewels, who empathize with her and are caring beings unlike your bitter self. Read your username and be gone.
julie, you are valid!!! she could've easily recreated your cake picture even though the fridge delayed it. she isn't honest and in the end she wasted both your time and hers.

There is something so comforting about your vlogs! I remember years ago when everyone believed you lived in Korea while you made hauls showing off your nice clothes, it was such an old era I really appreciate you explaining how you feel, and trying to make yourself feel valid too, because you are and your feelings matter It's saddening for the cake and I hope for better birthdays, for the both of you too :) Thank you for the vlog, it was amazing as always!!
i think it’s a pretty cute cake. it shouldn’t look exactly like your reference photo. that’s just stealing someone’s design that they also put time and effort into creating.
They definitely slapped that cake together. I suspect it originally looked better and they had to remake it in a hurry. They may have been better off to be transparent from the time you got there. Sorry our fridge broke, the cake melted and we have to redecorate it but we can't make it the way you requested exactly anymore. What do you want to do? That gives you an opportunity to make a decision about how you want to proceed
Yeah I agree. She literally didn’t get what she paid for, idk what’s wrong with these people. I would get upset to if they messed up my order, if it was for my mom or any of my family members special day🥺😤.
Dude, cutie...this happened to me and my sister too!! It was our Dads 60th bday, we were throwing him a pretty big celebration. We ordered local...a tire cake, with some car stuff on it, how hard???? apparently too hard for this lady, we ended up paying close to $100 and by the time it was time to cut it, the "tire" literally had a blow out and was falling apart. :/ Be pissed Julie, be pissed.
No neck ed.. really? You're really going to say that about someone that has no control over their body? That's disgusting. I used to like, but wow. You showed me you're someone else.
never once said anything bad about the cake, it just wasn't what I paid for that made me upset. and the bear does look like no neck ed! that's not a bad thing lmao

Honestly the photo on Instagram did not do justice to how bad that cake was! The bear was basically a blob at the back!!! Im curious how much she had to redo of the cake because of the freezer? Maybe that’s why everything one colour? Ooooor it was a bad cake to begin with 😒. Even if she made a beautiful cake which melted so that had to redo it in a rush- they should have just cancelled your order isnted of giving you that. 😭
For real. Its fuckibg cake. Get over itits not that deep. She is acting like her moms birthday was ruined. Girl no one is responsible for your moms birthday. The girl is simply a baker and you got your refund back so stop complaining already. So out of touch
Julie your vlogs makes me so happy i be so happy when you upload! Also again im sorry the baker messed up your mom's bday cake. But again like I said on IG *"if she couldn't make it look like the picture that's all she had to say."* love u julie ✨✨✨✨
Although we have no idea what goes on in other peoples homes, in this particular moment....nothing bad happened, it was a small little plushie that looked like its weighs nothing. Pretty sure it did not hurt, or tickle the doggy.
That sucks... I paid $59 for an Asian style (less sweet) durian sponge cake with durian stuffed in it and fresh whipped cream around it. It was for my mom birthday/parent anniversary. Though it wasn't the prettiest and my brother wasn't very impressed, I thought the taste was fantastic and my parents gobbled it up and my dad majorly finished the leftovers the next day. They don't normally spend much money on themselves and durian fruit cost so much in the states. I was happy that they enjoyed it. I hope regardless of what the cake looked like, your mom was still happy on her birthday and you were able to have a good time being with her on her special day. Life's too short to focus on the bad times; best to appreciate the good moments instead.
awe im sorry that happened to you! On the other hand we live in same city! Thats exciting. To know that one of my favorite youtubers live in the same city is weird!
She could have had better communictaion with you. I'm so sorry that happened. Cakes are so important they are for celebrating and if that's wrong it truly does sour the mood. I hope you guys feel better!! Happy late birthday to your mom!!

I get the use of the word traumatizing is a bit much yet I mean to her it could be considering she ordered this 8 days prior and it looks nothing like the photos and the experience was "traumatizing" to deal with in a sense because of the headache it caused. You typing paragraphs in the comments shaming her calling her "view hungry" is childish, you watching this video adds onto her views. Just click offfffff, this world is so miserable! So sad to know a couple of very sweet women named Karen whose name has become an insult.
I've actually never met a mean Karen. actually one of the nicest people I remember in my life was this classmate named Karen haha
I mean they decorated it for her last minute so it was soft when they gave it to her. It would have helped to put it near the Aircon, but not much.
You were right to go and tell them. Honestly it’s not about being a “Karen” it’s about the fact that you PAID for their service and if they say they can recreate the cake then they SHOULD recreate it or don’t say anything at all.
Unsubbed over this, with so much going on in the world to say you are traumatised over a CAKE is absolutely insane to me
You didn't have to pay for Julie did. How does her experience upset you? If the baker couldn't do it, she could've said something to the customer simple.
@@itzzzjaymcclinton3417 because she is trying to cancel a business for her ridiculousness and them doing nothing wrong.
@@bbenc7They actually did something wrong, it was basically a clickbait.
@notreallyuna thanks for the even longer response, you must be feeling butt hurt
You're welcome boo and you read it too. Not butt hurt just telling the factssss but keep being bitter tho
Ur such a weird troll lol
@@saraybarra4807 your mom
julie, you are valid!!! she could've easily recreated your cake picture even though the fridge delayed it. she isn't honest and in the end she wasted both your time and hers.
yeah, :( but I think what we gained together is experience and it will lead us to better experiences in the future
Can you link ur sweater in the first clip plz?
us.shein.com/Loose-Knit-Colorblock-Sweater-Skirt-Set-p-832728-cat-2220.html?url_from=leejutv05_us it's sold out :( I got it two years ago that's why, but hope you can find something similar on shein!
I love your vlogs sm! That's so sad you got scammed on the cake! :( I'm glad you got your money back! And those noodles look so good, Is there a recipe?
hi!! thank you for enjoying the vlogs! we are officially starting moving vlogs next week O_O...oh yes I'm going to update the description box withe the recipes I used!
@@julieisfilming thank you!
There is something so comforting about your vlogs! I remember years ago when everyone believed you lived in Korea while you made hauls showing off your nice clothes, it was such an old era
I really appreciate you explaining how you feel, and trying to make yourself feel valid too, because you are and your feelings matter
It's saddening for the cake and I hope for better birthdays, for the both of you too :)
Thank you for the vlog, it was amazing as always!!
i think it’s a pretty cute cake. it shouldn’t look exactly like your reference photo. that’s just stealing someone’s design that they also put time and effort into creating.
The thing I love about your vlog is your mom. She is really funny because she always talks about you need husband or boyfriend 😂
what the fuck 💀💀
You don't look 25 at all! You look so young. 👼
13:50 Mochi also agrees wholeheartedly lol
ALWAYS HERE TO BRIGHTEN OUR MONDAYS!
Omg is your dog okay?? What was she doing?? 🥺
Probably scooting on the carpet. 😂 my dog does it all the time and then I have to clean the carpet 😔
WHERE are you moving to??
Being traumatized over a cake and making a whole video of it bashing her is so damn dramatic....
Y'all stop being so rude? She's crying, okay so what? She ordered a cake that she wanted/her mum
omg exactly idk why everyone trying to make a problem about it just enjoy the vid or leave not hard
Yeah I agree. She literally didn’t get what she paid for, idk what’s wrong with these people.
I would get upset to if they messed up my order, if it was for my mom or any of my family members special day🥺😤.
I love what you do good job on vlogging
I really appreciate that you share your feelings with us. Please keep making these kinda vlogs. Happy birthday to your mom btw!
Thats because the cake was never made. It was never ready. She did it last minute, boo. You have the right to be upset. They really played with you!
I feel sorry for the cake lady I hope your mentality is change by now.
This has happened to me before! I wanted a Korean cake but they literally restyled all of it
I LIVE FOR THESE VLOGS!!❤️❤️❤️🤗
No neck ed.. really? You're really going to say that about someone that has no control over their body? That's disgusting. I used to like, but wow. You showed me you're someone else.
never once said anything bad about the cake, it just wasn't what I paid for that made me upset. and the bear does look like no neck ed! that's not a bad thing lmao
Wow, dramatic much? Chill. It's the cake, not an actual person lol
You're looking for a reason to dislike her, when you already probably do. She said nothing wrong. Just a comparison if anything.
@@RottedDollface it's the fake outrage for me, the comment section showcasing how jobless and bored ppl are to be that bothered. Watching this at first I literally didn't take anything she did in this video to heart. We've all had bad experiences working and/or being a customer to the bakery so yeah her feelings are valid
@@notreallyuna exactly.
why are you acting like a kid at your big grown age.
LOL "no neck Ed" I didnt know Julie watches 90 day
The cake is quite hilarious 🤣
Honestly the photo on Instagram did not do justice to how bad that cake was! The bear was basically a blob at the back!!!
Im curious how much she had to redo of the cake because of the freezer? Maybe that’s why everything one colour? Ooooor it was a bad cake to begin with 😒. Even if she made a beautiful cake which melted so that had to redo it in a rush- they should have just cancelled your order isnted of giving you that. 😭
Girl you are overreacting sm🙄this is a 100% karen behaviour indeed
For real. Its fuckibg cake. Get over itits not that deep. She is acting like her moms birthday was ruined. Girl no one is responsible for your moms birthday. The girl is simply a baker and you got your refund back so stop complaining already. So out of touch
Fr. She can't expect the EXACT same thing as the photo.
Some days, it will be like this and u either say no thank u or accept it. Shame it was on a significant birthday
Loving the blogs Julie, best background while I cook!
I’m sorry that you got scammed, I hope everything is okay
Great vlog i am so happy you got your money back for the cake and congrats on reaching 15.000 subscriber's 🤗💖
Julie your vlogs makes me so happy i be so happy when you upload! Also again im sorry the baker messed up your mom's bday cake. But again like I said on IG *"if she couldn't make it look like the picture that's all she had to say."* love u julie ✨✨✨✨
10:07 mood 😭💗
13:53 😂😂🐶
“I don’t want to be a “Karen” girl fr u are a karen
Girl on other vids you say “Love ur vids” Have some respect.
14:02 why are you hitting your dog like that? wtf
You're allowed to be mad about the cake. Those ppl were supposed to be professional cake makers. You didn't get what you paid for.
Hey julie
hello! :D
Beautiful 💫
amazing vlog!! i always look forward to more julie content
She could have had better communictaion with you. I'm so sorry that happened. Cakes are so important they are for celebrating and if that's wrong it truly does sour the mood. I hope you guys feel better!! Happy late birthday to your mom!!
self respect is the mantra ;)
your face looks identical to your dogs, how cute ❤
girl ur so dramatic its js a cake, there’s sm other problems in the world. like war. u don’t need to cry over a cake, mature up
It's not just a cake if she had to pay for it
Poor baker..
So amazing
Julie is soo underrated!
Yes! Julie put your foot down!! And $65 for a small cake that wasn't even the cake you WANTED IS RIDICULOUS! I'm glad you got a refund. Have a blessed day and continue living, putting yourself first always. ❤️❤️❤️
Mochi 🤣
I’m earlyyyyy
thanks for being here! 🥺♥️
All of these haters who felt the need to comment are honestly so annoying. You recall videos from a months ago so you must watch her frequently, I know this video is old but I'd be pissed too to be honest. "Oh but you could've said something" I get she should've but some people just don't like to argue lol. This was a cake for her moms birthday, her being upset is understanding. I'm sorry that this cake incident happened to you, It must've been unfortunate to have happen especially if it was a cake for your Mothers birthday. This is also a VLOG channel where she documents her life and experiences, she can share a negative experience if she wants lol. No one forced you to watch this.
😂😅😅😂
