Igor Krutoy, the man at the piano, composed this "Ave Maria" at Dimash's request. He has written a few songs (Olimpico, The love of tired swans ...) for Dimash. Igor K. is a very well-known composer in Eastern Europe and has also worked for example with Lara Fabian and Andrea Bocelli.
Dimash wanted a prayer for the world, so he called up Igor Krutoy and this is the magic they made. A Christian hymn, composed by a Jewish man, and sung by a Muslim man. Truly, a prayer for the world
“Ave Maria”is a variation adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore only the three opening notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note.
At the end, the advanced vocal technique:“Messa de Voce “ (from Italian Bel Canto technique) at the last note sustained 15 seconds on the note C6 . Swell, increase and decrease the volume but don’t change the pitch, it is extremely difficult and only pro vocalists with years of training can do it.

Dimash has always liked the song. It's a Christian song, but Dimash is not a Christian. So, he asked Igor to compose with/for Dimash as Ave Maria that would transcend all religions, languages and state/country boundaries.

This is one of the arias/songs where, despite the simplicity of the composition or even because of it, I feel complete harmony between the theme/content and the exotically rich form in which Dimash puts this content with his vocal/artistic technique. This harmony is a very sensitive place in my perception: Dimash as a cultural phenomenon is an illustration of the fact that form can/has gone beyond content (as in many his other performances). This is not Dimash’s fault, this is his and our common human problem.
People who are highly educated composers, steeped in music for many decades (Igor Krutoy) probably forget the the average listener only knows one Ave Maria, and we are completely ignorant of the very existence the many, many more Ave Maria's throughout history. ♥️😊
There are many, but almost all stem from 2 very distinct versions where this I believe is most like a fork of the Schubert version so to say. Aside from that I really don't understand the reactor's confusion. This very clearly and absolutely is Ave Maria. The weirdest thing about this interpretation, however, is there's a great vocalist on stage and somehow this is still an acoustic version of Ave Maria, which is... fascinating.

Notice at the beginning when Dimash is getting ready to sing you hear the heartbeat slowing down before stopping then Dimash sings its like the passing of life to be greeted by the angels. To me this is the closest you will get to heaven without going there. Even though this isn't the Catholic Prayer version it still gets the message across beautifully
Another wonderful reaction and analysis. Dimash's rendition of "Ave Maria" is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever listened to. This rendition touches the very core of my soul. I have watched this performance countless times since it premiered, and no matter how many times I have already watched it, I am still moved to tears the moment I hear the first note sung by Dimash's angelic voice.
This was the final of three songs Dimash premiered in August 2021 during his appearance at the annual New Wave music competition in Sochi, Russia. He once again performed with Igor Krutoy on the piano who composed this rendition for Dimash; it is not a cover. Someone stated that this is a vocalise interpretation of Schubert's "Ave Maria" opening vocals, and that the piece uses three bars from the original composition and changes the fourth note to a higher note. Whereas a classical musician on TH-cam (@SirHairless), pointed out that his is more of an interpretation of the composition of Vladimir Vavilov, often misattributed to G. Caccini.
Someone explained that Dimash called Igor Krutoy with an idea for a brand new interpretation of Ave Maria and asked him to compose the music. Dimash is said to love Gregorian choral music, which is where he got the inspiration. Igor composed the music, after which Dimash conceived these exquisite vocals. Someone else likened it to "a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (dark to light)!"
The last note Diamsh sings is known as "Messa di Voce," the singing of a gradual crescendo and decrescendo on a long sustained note. It is considered one of the most challenging vocal exercises, and voice experts regard it as the ultimate test for any singer, a skill even the most experienced vocalists rarely ever master.
There have been at least 11 other compositions titled "Ave Maria" and over 40 different renditions of these versions over the past roughly 200 years. The version most people are likely familiar with is Schubert's 1825 composition or the 1853 Gounod composition, based on a famous Bach keyboard prelude written 137 years earlier. Now we can add Dimash’s rendition to the list. Here is a list of different composers/compositions:

*This is the famous composition of Ave Maria misattributed to G. Caccini (1551-1618). It was actually composed by Russian composer Vladimir Vavilov in the early 1970s. He was forced to attribute most of his music to someone other than himself because any religious composition at that time, especially one invoking the Virgin Mary, was criminal under the communist dictatorship governing the Soviet Union.

Dimash and Igor Krutoy (the brilliant composer at the piano) always put mystery in their performances. The 'Ahhh' sound from Dimash actually IS a word: in Hebrew it is the sound of the letter 'Aleph', which represents God. And it sounded like an angel sang it! Hi Just a note on the version of Ave Maria. There are two major versions of this piece. Schubert's version is probably the most well known. However, Dimash is singing the Caccini version,
as it follows the same melodic line. Hope this helps. Igor created this piece on Caccini's version

He sings lower than bass in Opera. The lowest note is usually C2....and higher longer sustained whistle note.

You cut off the first 30 seconds of the song where we see Dimash composing himself, gathering his energy and the incredibly intense buildup to the first note. I was surprised that you seemed to have little or no connection to the spiritual/emotional aspect of this song.
