This is really helpful. But I think we need a video explaining the creep timing exactly to be aware. I think we are lacking the timing of creep waves and where they will be in the next 30 seconds
A good tip is to look at your own creeps. The offlane of both sides are mirrored, so when the creepwave is in the t2 in your offlane, the creepwave is in the t2 in the enemies offlane. But it's not really that complicated, the creepwaves spawn at :00, and :30.
It's not hard to practice creep wave timers, you can go in a lobby with cheats for no fog, and then just watch the waves when they reach tier 1 and 2 and the meeting points. Memorise that and you'll be fine
Why are we sticking around. My famous words every time I know we are going to throw the game for forcing high ground. Then everybody says 'you are useless'. Thy jump in, die, we lose.
That analysis at 25 minutes into the video, where you talk about how not shoving in a wave at a key time guaranteed your death... My mind is literally blown at how deep this game can be. Thank you for the analysis.
Lately I get clueless supports or extremely good supports but they tilt if you're not pushing high ground even if it's a bad situation like this. They force you to push with them or they feed. I just quit ranked because it's so common. It's one thing if we lost because we're the worse team but if teammates just constantly sabotaging themselves, that's so messed up. It's not just my team, I see it on other team constantly.
You literally explained to me logically why my cs is so low . I am stuck in 3k bracket . I realiZe after this video that I have no idea when creeps come out and I see how many seconds I’m wasting waiting for the next wave to come . I am also not thinking of how much gold I can get from the small neutral camp. I am just farming aimlessly ..
Another risk about going highground without roshan aegis is, if you get wiped out while attempting to take high ground, you are giving the enemy a chance to take aegis for themselves and be used against you. If you take roshan prior to going high ground, even if you fk it up somehow and still get wiped, you takeaway the chance for the enemy to use aegis advantage against you. Its literally a no brainer.
@@nicocastillo2099Lmao - all I did was express that I'd appreciate some more content on the mid role, he obviously isn't obligated to do that and can do whatever he wants, what's your problem?
Never push high ground if u didn't clear 2 lanes where u want to push. Ex. U want to push mid clear the bot lane or top lane. If you want to push top hg then clear the mid lane creeps and the one hero who pushing the opposite lane must have a potential that can destroy building faster. So that you can divide the attention of enemy where to defend. If there's nothing in your line up that can do the job if there's in your team that can create a space for your team to push then he must do it cause it also crucial that's why sometimes the tank of the team hold the aegis.
This is very cool guide, and author aggressive style is giving this guide even better understanding. I believe after watching this video, even 5 years kids will understand how to play dota.
This clip is super helpful, Im in this bracket currently hard stuck and bouncing between 4.6k-5k but as a SEA player those tips can be adapted until you talking about pattern and mid game phase in SEA they dont give a fuk even you stand at the wave as a position 1 your team will use every spell to steal it from you, and mostly if you try to tell them to do anything instead of let them playing their own game they went to griefing mode for no reason, for example about 2 days ago i ask my offlane to buy a daager to initiate the fight then he is not respond and went afk mode stop joining objective and afk farming untill i lost the game
true, there were so many situations when oposing team could have their 2 on 1 moment but didnt execute, luna should have been punished so much more, cos veno wasnt even there
when i have a similar game where my team is up 5-10k, some core is stomping the enemy and my team feels strong they just all go highground and expect me to join with no aegis, they go as 4 fight on the enemy part of the map when im near roshan waiting for them to connect and after dying they all blame me cos i didnt connect with them, trying to prove me why im wrong and lost us a game and then i get 4 reports, sometimes better just to follow your team to the highground and lose then to be in low priority, u cant play by minimazing the risk cos no one understands that concept, then you are jsut a "shy" carry
Great video. I wish you make one for Drow especially what to do if your team lost at least one other lane and is pressured and you have not much space to farm.
Although your input is very useful, you are getting visibly angry as the video goes on and i dont think that is fair. People want to know and improve and being very negative is never helpful in this learning environment. It also is exhausting to watch in my opinion. It doesn't make for good content to be constantly angry at this player even if he's wrong. Hes trying to improve so lets just focus on productive comments.
Something tells me the person who submitted this replay probably said “my team sucks” or whatever. Sometimes you need to drive a point home to somebody who is thick in the head.
bro idk i know about creep wave timers but still if i play pa hero or am hero (: i can't stay in lane after lvl 6(: like if mid do not roam i can't farm lane creeps (:
That's because those 2 heroes rely on item timing like bf to farm instead of levels and offlaners usually get really strong at lvl 6 like doom, sk, tide and some after vanguard like centaur, axe so you can't really stay on lane at lvl 6
@@Silk0926 yeah i called my team to gank my lane i will help them with crits but they do not listen they just said they took kills in their lanes and created space for me even top lane usually not free (:
I think the format of this video is not ideal. Even if the intended purpose was to make a detailed, game-long, phase by phase analysis, playing the entire video is a poor way of going about that. I think if you chop up the scenes that give the vital information only, it will be more useful. Commentary for every single time he walked in the wrong direction isn't that helpful. Also, it focuses too much on the micro game and misses out on the macro game.
the devil is in the details... usually, it isn't major flaws that keep us in lower brackets but a sum of inefficiencies that lead to losing matches and, consequently, having low MMR. I think there's content for both cases, highlights and in-depth analysis like this one.
If you're in herald you just don't have enough experience yet, keep playing. And if you have been playing for a year or more and still in herald then I gotta say you are shit out of luck.
Ppl know whether its my ego or actual shit teammates from matchmaking. Carry offlaners, never block or pull camps, u name it. The other game where I played void, mirana standing behind tower while warlock right clicks me, sometimes it's about luck, if you have no idea what the players going through better to not comment. 15 lose streak is not a joke.

If you went in a lobby and watched the waves for yourself you'd likely remember way easier than having it spoon fed to you in a video.

Bro. I think this is one of the best carry rundowns of what/how to use the map. The fact that it's conversational helps a shitton too. Well done 👏
Would appreciate some content on the mid role again. These videos are interesting, but since I exclusively play mid it doesn't really help that much.
Gonna be doing a similar series on pos 2 soon

thanks for posting this, so many impatient players also they don't play around carry
Imagine watching all these golden content for free
It is very matchup specific, but swift blink or blink is important to consider versus high range HG defenders like DR or sniper
In my legend bracket my carry ang offlane always dive under tower and end up dying so we cant push 😢
its soo true i am winning more games that we defend high ground and lose early than the other way around, hard stuck at 4.4, 4.5k

It's not a good thing to be "respectful" when you teach. Unless you take everything personal... It would mean you're being a child.

If you are playing Pos 1 in Herald and you lose that's on you. It is absolutely possible to solo carry and end a game in Herald by 30 minutes.
