Greenwood district of Tulsa OK. Black wall street now seen as a red light district in the 83 movie. Don't know if this is accurate. It's funny Coppola directed The Outsiders & Rumble Fish in 1983 and both movies were set in Tulsa OK.
I respect him for actually shooting the films where the books are set instead of shooting in New York or California and trying to pass it off as Oklahoma, like a lot of film productions tend to do.
