That was an amazing interview. Shout out to the interviewer who asked pertinent, interesting questions that allowed Halle to elaborate, pivot, inspire, AND deliver some great gems along the way! ❤️
I feel this was the most impactful Halle Berry interview I’ve ever seen. Halle was so vulnerable and honest with her responses. I think the scariest thing I heard her kind of confirm was that the safety of the performers doesn’t always come first while filming. For her to be sure that her project would be canceled if they knew about the injury is wild. Plus her response about being known for more than just a pretty face was heavy.
She is so beautiful and I always loved when she is in a movie. She said that she doesn't set goals and I absolutely agree with her because you set to do something and when you don't get the outcome that you are expecting to get it feels like a waste of time effort and energy and I definitely can understand where she's coming from but I love her and when she is doing a movie than you know for sure it's a great one
Her movie Bruised was great! Her quote is powerful because it says unless you give me a chance to prove myself then don't blame me when it fails. If I had the chance & fail then I can take that, but don't blame me for what I don't have control of. Halle did her homework & understood the assignment. The actor who played her son is so adorable & did his job well. I see the look on Halle's face when she said sex addiction referring to her ex-husband Eric Benet whose foolishness was revealed by the press right after she won her Oscar (he's now married to Prince's 2nd ex-wife Manuela). I imagine it would be hard for people to think all you bring to the table is your beauty & to have your gifts downplayed when you work so hard.
Cat Woman was a solid film. But this is what happens when too many from a white lens are given the power with their yays or nays. There's tons of films we love that are not loved outside our cultural realm. Great interview.
BRUISED was a great movie !!! I'd give it an 92...would have been higher if they explained exactly why her coach did not show up for her main fight at the end.
I thought her coach went on a drunken rampage somewhere due to being rejected (remember she walked out with a bottle of liquor) & probably got in a fight or a few fights then later came to her senses & came back to make amends.
So why didnt she just become a producer and not be the "dancing fucking bear" Being the "dancing fucking bear" provided you with a GREAT life for you and your kids.
@A Halle has an amazing career. She is always booked and busy. She just signed a multi million dollar deal with Netflix. I don't understand why she's complaining.
Y'all don't understand because you're not listening. She's saying when the project fails most times ppl will place blame on the actor not the overall product. However, that isn't to say there aren't times the public won't say the script was horrible or it was poorly produced.

I agree. It’s the best interview that Halle has given so far to promote “Bruised.”

Rewatch it. It was towards the end plus with the relationship turn it was assumed

You choose the roles you choose like any other job there's good and bad but you're making millions of dollars how can you complain 🤷🏼♂️
You complain with any job it’s human to complain

Only if you knew what Halle did behind the scenes to get where she's at.....
