Thank you SamuraiG so much! As someone who has started doing TH-cam seriously in May of this year it was great to see that my understanding of different revenue streams was actually correct. Thanks for awesome content, keep up the great work!
I'm taking an arts and culture ( music) course in Montréal and I share your videos with my cohort. Thanks for helping me with your UNIQUE wisdom and concise "Identity" in time when everyone thinks they know everything but don't even know themselves! Rock on! JJ
My goals are humble. I don't need, nor really want, to make a living with my music. I just figure, since I'm going to be sharing my creative value anyway, I would be selling myself short to not allow myself to gain value in return.
I really appreciate what you do sensei and hope all the best for you what I like about your channel is the diversity that you upload as well as the best short and straight to point hope we see you live again peace sensei arigato guzaimashta 🙏
I think.... it definately feels like.... therefoee ima just ho ahead and believe .... that i found this vid at the exact moment that i needed to. For that gift i personally thank you. As a token of my gratitude i immediately smashed the shit out of both the subscribe and like buttons like a boss. 🤘
Making money from my music isn't my goal. I just enjoy playing tunes, enjoy collecting gear, enjoy putting an event together with my friends in which we get to take the stage. And if thats somehow a way that I can make money, so be it. I'm not trying to make money, but if I do a gig or something and money falls into my lap doing it, that's cool. You could pay me with a couple of greasy pub chicken wings, if you pay me at all
I'd love to earn money through music. You and a few others have inspired me to start a channel and I will do in time. I just need some more audio equipment then I'll start.
thanks for sharing! i think the days of making money off youtube are over. they're tightening down on content so i doubt my stuff would even get monetized at all anyway! i do it cos i just like it :)
Please make sure to reach out to Long and McQuade in Windsor, ON. It's essentially our only large-scale music store, but we have close to 300k citizens now and a clinic at our local store would reach the entire music scene! This city could use an idol, so to speak; proof that us Canadians aren't living in the shadow of American art. I'd love to see you and I think it would be a great opportunity for you as well! Keep it up sensei
I produce my own music in my DAW. I have yet to find a way to make money from my music and I have been at it for over 12 years. I'm told its good for videogame and movie soundtracks but I do not know where to reach out to to get comissions to compose and produce something for someone's project. I have built up a portfolio of artwork and music and even with that to show, I struggle to make money doing what I'm passionate about
Can you give some tips on how to record music better? Or make the sound quality of a recording good to listen to? What software/equipment will someone need to achieve a great studio effect?
Do you think you have the base for something like a signature guitar? Most are super expensive, so maybe a midpriced one would be cool, id definitely check it out, as a metal guitarist finally sticking his feet into your type of musical waters
There are so many reasons why TH-cam is no longer good for musicians, like freezing play counts, Illegal downloads, many websites offer TH-cam to mp3 converters online (search Google you’ll see)...
Hey man. I really enjoyed this video. I know it would have to be a pretty in depth video, but could you explain very specifically how to begin these revenue streams? Such as amazon affiliate links, how to create an online store, etc. TH-cam is something I'm considering pursuing and I want to start learning about all these things very early on!
It's easy enough to sign up for those things you mentioned. Go on to the website follow the steps. The difficult part is actually earning money from them. In order to do that you need to be able to reach people who care about what you have to say.
Hi, whats some advice you would have for a one man metal band that would like to have a comfortable income? Do you have any tips for social media marketing?
I've been thinking of posting original materials in my channel very recently. this is actually the first one i've made @ if you guys can please do try and check it out and if you enjoy it, hit like and subsribe. i will be making more original materials from now on.
Was waiting for this one, always good to have this information! I have to say I am surprised that you still doesnt have a form of performance going on, can you further explain why would that be? I mean, you surely have the network necessary, and I could be wrong, but I always though that performance was the most lucrative aspect of a musicians life, which could not support a musician alone only because you can't exactly perform 8 hours a day. Well, anyway, nice to hear from you and thanks!
Nice to hear some honesty on the subject. Why do you only have 158k subscribers when the duuuuuh jent screamo and silly face pulling guitarists (you know who I'm talking about) have 1 million plus. I'd rather watch quality content like this than comedy bs.
Sure, I get that he takes time to edit his videos. Just like all the better quality youtubers do. Editing out dead space is great for making a concise video. But he's editing out mere seconds of video, and he does it after literally every single sentence. The effect is more annoying than succinct.
Napkin Shoplifta' Really??? lolol. Looks like a real ritzy place, yeah. The kitchen, dining room and living room are all visible in one shot and right next to each other, without silly "poor guy" walls!!
Having said all that you'd think I'd be able to afford an iron.
Whoa how'd you make this comment 2 weeks ago???
whoa dude
I guess you could say youre a guitar god
samuraiguitarist TIME TRAVEL BRAH!

It’s awesome to see someone so transparent about their life and what they do especially as a guitar teacher/player.

Shoutous to all the people who don't even bullshit themselves into thinking they can live off music anymore.
you made me sad now :(
There is a certain freedom to knowing you're never gonna be a "rock star" and just picking up the guitar because you enjoy playing it.
Making money from my music isn't my goal.
I just enjoy playing tunes, enjoy collecting gear, enjoy putting an event together with my friends in which we get to take the stage.

Samurai + Guitar = Not gonna smash his guitar on stage, but will rip it in half with a Katana.
Vladimir a Boss Katana?
I'd pay to see that
Thank you!
Merch would be so dope!

Hi, samurai
"You know I've sold out when you start to see me pushing Christian mingle" I died xD
If he starts pushing anything christian, I'm out. Can't stand cults with their non-sense.
The way you deliver your message is amazing... Thank you so much...
Dang it. I was hoping to see an ad for Christian singles. Keep up the good work man!

Hi, whats some advice you would have for a one man metal band that would like to have a comfortable income? Do you have any tips for social media marketing?

I have no tips for you myself, unfortunately. Just wanted to say how cool a concept that is, and best of luck to you!
How much you earning from your videos...

Thanks for sharing your trade secrets. Shaniah Twain?

I would love a samuraiguitarist tee shirt (4x please 😁)
I'd die if you did a clinic in my area
Do live streams!
Never been this early
As a Christian and a Mingler.... that was funny lol
Does it bug anyone else how he cuts after every single sentence? Once I noticed it I can't help but be distracted by it.
He's not doing it in one take. That probably means that he takes the time to edit and deliver a better product.
Sure, I get that he takes time to edit his videos. Just like all the better quality youtubers do. Editing out dead space is great for making a concise video. But he's editing out mere seconds of video, and he does it after literally every single sentence. The effect is more annoying than succinct.
Chris House I didn't notice until you said something. Damn you.
Yeah he's a jump cuts addict
That's his editing trick!
So your deep passion is making trivia top lists and (as of late) reaction videos :^) ?
That's not right, i'm 14 and from germany. :D
hopefully it will keep on growing. AND I subscribed. Can I get a little percentage of your revenue? lol!
Shania Twain, please check out this channel

so if you are musician stop play music and talk about music lol
Pretty big house for "poor guy"
Napkin Shoplifta' Really??? lolol. Looks like a real ritzy place, yeah. The kitchen, dining room and living room are all visible in one shot and right next to each other, without silly "poor guy" walls!!
