GREAT movie. To sacrifice oneself for the greater good is NEVER wrong. Someone has to do it. Respect to all fallen heroes that defend goodness, light, and love for humanity and what is right. Though it's a movie, it depicts many real events where good fights evil and saves lives. Thank you for such a gem, even if it's sad ending. Great movie, I thought to myself this was the young lad that acted as Jet Li son in the Great Iconic movie which I always believe he should have gotten an Oscar, so nicely grown up, still a great actor in my book.
This is a beautiful movi. Deep, thoughtful, harrowing and beautifully emotive. Shows monks are human and can joke around too. This kind of loyalty and virtue would be rare to find in the city these days. ty 4 gr8 movi

Japanese soldiers were the cruelest people in the world in my opinion, worse than Hitler. They not only tried to conquer China, but also other Asia countries too. I'm a Malaysian, used to listen to my grandma telling us how much inhumane things they did to her families and the whole village. Until this day, they are too coward to admit what they did and tried to hide the truth even though there were many victims came out to tell the truth. There are many "real" pictures and stories online about them. I can understand why Chinese people have a lot of hatred toward them. Just to looking at the pictures online made me cried, sooooo angry and sad. Never understood how could a " human" did such a heartless cruel thing to other human without any feeling.
This is why i love Chinese martial arts movies cause not other types of movies that has to be happy ending..was it ony me love to learn Kung Fu ever since i was a child not because of like "oh i love to learn this cause it so damn cool".. yup, it is cool but the way they how devotee they're are so inspiring...here in Philippines we love to watch Chinese martial arts then after watching we practices the way they move..
When Jet Li has retired I was disappointed becasue the Kung Fu movies has deteriorated since then. Until I watched this new generation of kung fu actors. Chinese Kung Fu movies are back again with great fighting choreography just like how Yuen Wu Ping and Jet li would have it in the past.

I really thought this was a great movie! I love these period pieces based on historic events. But I could barely hold back my tears at the end. Thank you for posting this. It's going to be hard to fall asleep after this one. I'll keep thinking about it. ❤👊🥋
I've just finished watching it and i cried for them. All the senseless fighting for what? I just can't fathom why so many innocent had to die and in such a cruel way. I'm going to be reflecting on this for awhile.

Outstanding production that did not get the exposure or accolade it should have as it was released in the early months of the Covid pandemic.(2/20/2020) Well worth the 90 minute investment. Solid acting, great storyline, engaging with quick pacing, superior direction & editing, and truly outstanding martial arts fight scenes.I would have given it an 8 to 8.5 out of 10. Definitely worth watching! My only complaint is that at the very end of the film, before the credits, some written material in Mandarin was not translated into English (and, most likely, not into any other language.) If the creators of the film thought it important enough to add at the end of the film, I would think it would be important enough to translate. If any kind soul could translate the material into English, you will receive 150 karma points for compassion and service!😉 You would also have my undying gratitude.

Outstanding production that did not get the exposure or accolade it should have as it was released in the early months of the Covid pandemic.(2/20/2020) Well worth the 90 minute investment. Solid acting, great storyline, engaging with quick pacing, superior direction & editing, and truly outstanding martial arts fight scenes.I would have given it an 8 to 8.5 out of 10. Definitely worth watching!
My only complaint is that at the very end of the film, before the credits, some written material in Mandarin was not translated into English (and, most likely, not into any other language.) If the creators of the film thought it important enough to add at the end of the film, I would think it would be important enough to translate. If any kind soul could translate the material into English, you will receive 150 karma points for compassion and service!😉 You would also have my undying gratitude.
