I was on that elevator in October 1996 on a senior class trip. 58 seconds to get to the top. A minute and 2 seconds to go down. I’ll never forget it.

my uncle was one of the people that brought people up to the decks and he luckily missed work in 1993 when they tried bombing them underground.

Thanks for the comments and kind compliments on the video, and for the correction about the neighboring buildings still standing. It's incredible that they're still standing after the WTC collapse. We were just in NYC visiting again (we're from Minnesota, visiting relatives on Long Island) in Aug 2008 but we didn't go to Ground Zero, which I now regret. It was after this recent visit, however, that I started thinking about retrieving this 12-year-old vacation video and posting it to TH-cam.

Gosh, if only time travel had been invented, I would've gone back to the 1990's to visit those towers! I never had a chance, and even if I did, I would still been a baby then and I wouldn't remember anything (I was born in 1999) D:

doesent it feel weird that when u go down there to visit new york that when u stare at where the towers stood theres a space in the middle of Manhattan. Its so sad.
