Do you have a view of you loading containers on deck from shoreside to seaside instead of sea to shore? Would like to see a view of you doing that. One of the fastest operators I've seen!
That’s quite unconventional mate. We usually only load from sea to shoreside. That’s how we get the containers from the planning under the crane. We rarely do load from sea to shore though. But if such a situation were to occur then I’ll capture it for you and post it. Thanks for watching!

Goedenavond Gino.
I love this . Can I take training in this field?? I live in morocco . Unfortunately, there is no configuration here. But I think there is training in Europe. They help you learn. Is this true, my friend??
These cranes are programmed with different safety zones. The crane therefore recognizes that I am lowering at the “lashing platform”. Safety wise it starts slowing the hoist down, down until it comes to a complete stop. This is pre-programmed. We can stop the hoist down before it automatically does if the pin men on the lashing platform wish us to do so.
@@gabrielcontreras3993 it’s alright. I’ll still average around about 33 moves per hour. When were loading or discharging in the holds it goes a lot quicker. Especially because we can use all 5 lanes under the crane. We dump them into the street. No bomb carts at this terminal.
One of the quickest crane videos I've seen! Can you tilt the grab so that one end of the container touches down before the other, or is it always basically horizontal?
How can the crane place the container correctly when the space is tight? It fully depends on the skillful operator or there are some tools supporting them.
The chairs we sit in are pretty ergonomic. All kinds of way adjustable. You do need to stretch once a hour for comfort. I don’t experience neck pain fortunately.
How are the straddles lining up the boxes on the plum? Lazer/light system? We use a lazer system that works off stickers placed on the straddles but we mostly use chalk marks on the concrete as they’re more accurate. Your strads seem to be nailing it down to the inch.
@@shizette sounds similar to what we use. Even with chalk marks, our strad drivers make me use side-shift all the time, even the occasional long travel.
@@crashtestcal6484 haha I know what you mean. We do have 6 flippers on the spreader, which allows me to pick up pretty much all containers that aren’t centered properly without the need to gantry left or right.
@@crashtestcal6484 yeah I see that a lot in other people’s content. We load a lot of barges as well as mainliners and feeders. It makes life a lot easier to be able to select the most left or right head flippers.
How about showing some thing that requires skill. Like for instance . Water side cell , 6 high twin lift load. Loading 40 footers on deck like this is for 10 year olds .I am surprised you did not loose a twistlock in cell 6 being so rough .Trying to land and lock one side before the other and then getting a swing up like that .Took you six shots to land it properly. Shame on you. 🤣 Was not the wind buddy it was the driving. 🤣🤣🤣
If you think that that takes skills then you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about 🤭😂. It wouldn’t be just if I only post videos where everything goes perfectly right? But thanks for your well thought out comment and if you want to see “skillful” cell work then see my other videos. By the way, the positions on top of deck are called “rows” and not “cells”. But you knew that already right? Have a good one and thanks for the support!
Nice to have flippers on the end frame...
@@Nightside13 it is. Helps a lot when discharging barges.

Pretty sure Morocco has container terminals. Try applying and speak out your wishes?
Tower Crane Op from Canada here.
What country is this? and have you ran cranes outside the docks or just all dockyard work?
@@heavybrowncranes this is in the Netherlands. The port of Rotterdam.
I’ve only ran and still run port cranes.
@@shizette cool tools buddy keep it up 👍

Don’t know about that. But thank you!
How do you know the container is at the right height for the two workers ? Can you show and explain your "cockpit" in any way ? Nice video

What does the two workers do?
@@dubbdadubb they’re adding twistlocks to each corner pocket so that we can safely stack te containers on top of each other.
Are the two workers at the intermediate stop adding corner hardware to secure the contaier to the one below it on the ship?
That’s exactly right. They’re adding the corner pocket cones so that the containers can interlock with each other.
How long have you been doing this?
Been driving the crane for about 8 years now.
Bloody hell, that's QUICK!!!
Haha could be quicker though 😂
@@shizette much quicker
Wow, that extra step of stopping at platform adds time. Simi auto operation?
Fully a conventional terminal. No robots yet. In the making though….
The pin-stop does add time though. It does depend on how quick te pinmen are.

We can trim/list/skew. All withing certain parameters though. I do prefer keeping the beam horizontal though.
How can the crane place the container correctly when the space is tight? It fully depends on the skillful operator or there are some tools supporting them.
No tools really. We just need to eyeball it and put in in place.

The chairs we sit in are pretty ergonomic. All kinds of way adjustable. You do need to stretch once a hour for comfort. I don’t experience neck pain fortunately.
Sir, you did a great job, and I would like to know how do you control the spreader skew?
Thank you. If it’s skewing because of the wind (like in this video), I’ll control it by trollying forwards or backwards.
Good❤❤❤❤❤

It’s with a laser/light system. Not every cranes system is perfect though. Here we work with lasers on the cranes and reflectors on the straddles.
