Hello sir. Thanks for these videos, they helped me so much in visualising these structures.
However I had few doubts. In the textbook Comprehensive and Clinical Anatomy of middle ear by Salah Mansour et al, it's mentioned that Anterior Epitympanum develops from Saccus Anticus and Prussak's Space from Med Saccule of Saccus Medius. Could you please clarify this?

Hi, thanks for the comment! It is true that the development of middle ear saccules has many nuances. I might recommend the "Color atlas of the anatomy and pathology of the epitympanum" by T. Palva for further reading on this subject. This book includes actual microscopic images of the middle ear folds that attempt to counter past misconceptions.
But even in Mansour's book it is stated that the superior surface of the tensor fold (aka anterior epitympanum) develops from an anterior projection of saccus medius but in another figure is implies that the anterior epitympanum is a result of saccus anticus(?).
I don't think it is so important to give strict definitions, but it is important to keep in mind the general picture of middle ear development. ☺️☺️
