Completely agree with the “to all the boys” movie opinion! In what world could someone pick noah centipede over jordan fisher. That’s the most unrealistic part of that whole movie and that’s saying something lmao
Not sure if this is unpopular or not but my favorite series by Cassandra Clare is the Infernal Devices. Something about it just resonates with me more than her other series. Tessa, Jem, and Will are all SO well written. I think they have so much depth.
Ok so, I think we can all agree John Ambrose is better than Peter, at least in the second movie, I feel like the books didn't put such an obvious difference between the 2, but the movies, nope, sorry Lara Jean, you chose poorly
My unpopular opinion about a love triangle is kind of a cop out... but I didn't like Wessa in The Infernal Devices, I thought it should've been Jessa always. Of course it's a cop out because of spoilers but still.
Mine for the book series I love but everyone else hates is Divergent. Definitely. And then the adaptation I think was better than the books was the Series of Unfortunate Events TV show on Netflix.
READ PLEASE!!! I think you would love The Land Of Stories by Chris Colfer!!! It is about these kids who get stuck in a fairytale land and to get home that have to get every fairytale’s most prized possession!! (Like Cinderella’s glass slipper) I know you will love it!! It is funny and Red Riding Hood is my favorite character!!😍😂 PLEASE READ!!
I think Cardan is a fine character and I did end up liking him at the end, but I fell in love with Jude! She is one of my favorite book characters of all time.
I know! Why can’t anyone in a fantasy book series with an assemble cast be single?!? That’s more realistic than everyone just coupling up. I know Calypso wasn’t really in HOO but c’mon Leo could’ve easily just been single and that’s okay!
AHAH I 100% understand that you want to read a book because of a cover change. I'm the same way with Robin Hoob. (Though I prefer the old bookcover of Cinder to be honest haha they so pretty)
Well her death permanently scarred Nico, and caused him to go off the deep end. Nico hasn’t been the same since. I know that characters need to change but Bianca’s death could’ve easily been avoided. She died cause she wanted to get Nico a mythomagic action figure. That’s not worth Nico going crazy, trying to resurrect her, being depressed, reserved and guarded, and hating himself.
Yes! I didn’t particularly like the Wicked Fox either, even though I can see why people would like the book and I did like the mythological aspect to it (how there were short chapters among the rest of the story explaining the origins of the female fox spirit... thing... I can’t remember what it’s called)
I feel like I would find it quicker to list my popular opinions than my unpopular ones because there are SO many popular books which just aren't to my taste. As much as I'm growing to love booktube since I started watching it a few weeks ago, there are a lot of highly promoted books that don't appeal to me at all, and a lot of my favourites are never really mentioned much.
Unpopular opinion: besides Cruel Prince (I think the same as you). Other book is "the flat share" by Beth O'Leary, I read him and thought: ok. That's a "ok " book. I mean I understand the hype, but was just "ok" for me.
Love your videos. Leigh Bardugo comments are spot on and I loved Six of Crows, but plan on reading King of Scars someday. Book vs Movie preference for me was Warm Bodies. Lol Loved the movie, book was odd (nicely put. I love Pride & Prejudice too all movies and book, but my favorite adaptation is the BBC mini series.
I honestly would’ve preferred if they went against the book and left Lara Jean with John Ambrose 😂 I mean, it’s JORDAN FISHER. And they DIDN’T HAVE HIM SINGING. Still pissed hahahah
I hated Cardan in book one of the Folk of the Air Trilogy. By book 2 I had mixed feelings, by the third book I was completely in love, but I'll never like the Darkling. I can never understand why people swoon over him, he's 10 times worse than Cardan but I guess some people just can't help but to fall for the dark haired evil characters *shrugs* he's just a bit too dark for me.
TheBookArcher is the original creator of this tag! I'm a new BookTuber and just posted my video of this over the weekend :) I'd still choose Noah Centineo haha xD
My unpopular opinion: I really didn't like Scythe😳 Popular character I don't like is probably Hardin Scott from After👀 Watch as everyone comes at me for this😆
I actually think the beginning and end parts of the Crazy Rich Asians book is sooo good but the middle lost me completely and i had to push through the end
Unpopular opinion: I feel like I'm the only person who didn't like the Scythe books. I thought every aspect of the futuristic world (aside from the Scythes/Thunderhead) was underdeveloped, and the scenes went from being extremely slow to extremely violent with no in-between :/ (I only read the first two books).
Unpopular opinion, (just because I think I'm the only person in the world that has read the books mentioned) Myrtle Albertina's Secret is as good as The Chronicles of Fid.
A book where I preferred the movie - My Sister's Keeper. I tried 3 Jodi Picoult novels a few years back and in each case liked the story but hated the ending. The movie ending for MSK was much better to my mind.
please please please try to read the lunar chronicles!!! the characters and the story are so amazing even though the first book is not the best out of the series
I just read the lunar chronicles. Cinder is the weakest book in the series. I didn't plan on continuing on with it, but I found an audiobook for Scarlett and loved it. I loved the series even though it has basically every trope.
For me I liked the first half of the cra movie more than the book because it was a lot easier to follow visually, but I like the second half of the book more because they toned down some elements in the movie
@@madalynmiles i mean I'm currently at book 4 'restore me' and i can tell you, the first trilogy isn't that bad, I mean although i found the first one to be pretty poorly written and not the best dystopian in general (rather a romance) i still wanted to give the other ones a try, the series does get better writing-wise and plot wise and i just started viewing it as an easy guilty pleausure. But 'restore me' is just... really bad i mean, i knew the series would go downhill from here but there's no actual plot anymore only sex... unnecessary conversations and more sex... I’m not a big fan of Leigh Bardugo I’ve read the grisha trilogy and six of crows and I enjoyed six of crows for a while but then i never picked up crooked kingdom and the grisha trilogy I didn’t really like any character besides Nikolai
my most controversial unpopular opinion is that i hated the infernal devices. the main girl (tessa?) was sooo annoying like i just wanted to hit her in the face, she was selfish, hypocrite and just lacked personality. also everybody seems to be obsessed with the love triangle but it felt very rushed and boring to me. i overall hated every single character (except for sophie and gideon). also i'm sorry but those two guys who called each other brothers both ended up with the same girl and that's just very weird to me. anyway please don't attack me it's just my opinion 😭
I also didn’t like them that much. It was so obvious she was gonna end up with Will anyway so her romance with Jen was basically pointless. Although I didn’t find Tessa annoying or anything, I thought she was the most Mary Sue of a character Cassie has very written. I liked Jen but I never liked Will, he just seemed so selfish and something’s definitely wrong in the head with him. If you love someone that much that you would die I’d they didn’t like you back then they’re is obviously something psychologically wrong with you. That also goes for you Jace Herondale.
I was unlucky to read Serpent and Dove before Cindy posted her video, and I wasted my time. Now I only nod wisely when someone speaks ill of the book😁. I also like only Six of crows I even fell a sleep at the end of Shadow and bone that much I didn't like the characters 😁😁😁. I am sorry I liked the world building but everything else was bad at least for me. New unpopular opinion: I really really don't like House of earth and blood by Sarah J. Maas.
