Great video! I've been away for so long, just started a bit before Moria launched on these servers, so the concise information is much appreciated. You mentioned possibly doing videos on the Moria instances, I'd definitely watch that, no commentary even needed necessarily (although it wouldn't be a bad thing) , would just be nice to have some modern videos on how the instances are ran and their specific mechanics.

Really appreciate the video. Its hard finding information about the expansions of these legendary servers since they're so old. Glad I found this, really informative for someone who's new! I hope you keep doing things like this for future updates on the legendary servers! I do have a question seeing as you said the forges of khazad-dum was the second easiest. My brother who recently dinged level 60 entered it with a group of randoms and they all kept getting one shotted by thrug. Some sort of fire explosion one shots them one by one. Hard to find the mechanic for that. Were they just under-geared or is there a mechanic missing there? All I could find for him was thrug does fire wound which you need to cleanse with "water pouches", but nothing about said fire explosions that one shots them. EDIT: Also is there a website you'd recommend to look up dungeon mechanics and such? maybe even builds? I've only been able to find lotrohq for builds, but brother claimed people had told him that website is not very reliable.
Forges is second easiest when it comes to completing the challenge mode. All the other dungeons have weird mechanics like, dont kill x mob, dont use fire damage, dont use a certain mechanic, which then makes alot of these fights take 20+ minutes or longer just for one boss allowing for more time to make a mistake. Thrug is 100% the hardest boss in that dungeon as yeah there weird mechanic with the water pouches. You can avoid the mechanic completely by have everyone having gear. But even if just the tank has alot of gear you can retreat and run back. Dont have the gear the intended way its suppose to be done is to click on pouches that are located kind of the edges of platform near the lava moat. I dont believe they shine or glow anymore like they use so they can be hard to spot. You want to find them as soon as the fight starts so you know where to grab one from as you dont have alot of time to click one before you go boom. So yes the fire pouches do stop the go boom part. You also want to stay spread as best you can cause going to close together when someone does go boom can kill everyone around them. LOTRO HQ and the LOTRO Wiki are the best sites for information on dungeons and classes. BUT the people who talked to your brother about it being unreliable are indeed correct. Ether the information is outdated or its just not even there. Like LOTRO wiki has zero information on the Forges of Khazad-Dum dungeon fights. These sites are not well managed. This is why I plan to start releasing mini guides for the dungeons as the new year comes around. I am glad you found the video helpful, sounds like my goal is working. I just want to make more current videos for legendary servers dedicated for the newer players.
The population depends heavily on which server you go in. Arkenstone, Gladden, Landroval (RP) are the most populated NA servers. Laurelin (RP) and I think MAYBE Evernight are the top EU servers. Though they arent dedicated EU thats just where EU players have migrated to. These new legendary servers we have though, MASSIVELY populated and they have way less lag and server issues and they are the new 64 bit servers. Angmar is NA and Mordor is EU and its actually a dedicated EU server so EU players can play the game and not have over 80 ping. The legendary servers of Angmar and Mordor however do require a sub to play them. Every other server is available for Free to Play.
