I like it! Really clean tie, Tim. That "hot spot" is a great idea.

I have used your post technique for some time. I do the hackle tie in first, then wrap down, in my view it looks just as clean and much less risk of slipping on the last point. I’ve gotten good down to size 22, 24 is very impressive. The cording of the post transformed my parachutes.

I love the location where you whip finish the fly. I’m always having trouble whip finishing at the base of the post. Thanks for the new method!

Tom is to old school, I don't think he could handle it.

Our midge hatches are starting to come on strong in eastern ID, I am headed to my bench asap. The wing post furling technique and hackle tie off is truly innovative and makes tying tiny parachutes a lot more practical.

Maybe we could see some Dave Whitlock flies? Since his unfortunate passing, I've been reading his book that I have and he certainly knew his stuff when it came to tying.

Yet another variation of how to tie a parachute. I love it! I actually got Tom Baltz to show me his version over the weekend. You will have to include that method at some point. Do you think that the parachute has the most variations of any pattern out there?
