I bet you that she wouldn't be nearly as famous if she wasn't so physically attractive; that's just the bar that's set for women in entertainment. What makes her so much better is not that she's not trying to be hot, but that she's trying to be hot by her own standards. Being hot, of course, means showing off her beautiful intellect.
What is the song she does on the commercial...they are in a soul train line and the only thing I can make out is she says something about Saturday and bang bang..lol help it looks like her and and crew are having a blast!
You can put effort into your appearance without sexualizing yourself, which was (I think) the point that HeartlessRingleader was trying to make. She strikes me as someone who is purposefully staying in control of her as a product and her image is certainly part of that. And you are right, a large part of her is her intellect.
