I feel FDJ rejection hurt Man Utd more than anything. They ended up with using Casemiro who is a different kind of player and Eriksen who is not always fit to play 90mins.
That rejection had an effect because of the people that were making the big decisions. If they had a better plan in case FDJ wasn't sold on United, they could have gone to their second choice and bought him instead of panic buying a 29 years old Casemiro for £60M pounds!
