  • This is recorded in st Paul's cathedral in Sakhalin Island late at night. I am sorry for the mighty mix of artificial and natural delays - the sound engineer obviously liked it and I never had the original copy. But I hope it doesn't prevent the listener from hearing the essence of the piece. Chaconne is always a kind of a prayer and the prayer is always right and meaningful for the time it is made in.
This is an arrangement by D. Bouriakov, 1st version.

Absolutely fabulous. Soo freakin' musical and technically accurate :-) I love how you take time to 'ring' each note and you maintain a relaxed pace, even when the music 'takes off' with excitement and speed. Maybe it's 'just' the quality of the flute that catches me, and you're the first flutist I have come across to play this. Whatever -- your playing is captivating and beautiful. I applaud the tremendous practice over many years it must've taken you to reach this most marvelous of most marvelous of works. Thank you, Thank You for sharing your music here. Best wishes!!
