This video is now over 10 years old on youtube. It is still my favorite video on the entire internet. Your ears were made for this sound. There are other 250 TR movies, but nothing else quite like this. This way this guy drives is pretty anti-social. But that too is part of the magic. In that moment, in that car, with that sound, on that beautiful day... the rest of the world fades away into the mirrors, and it was just the driver and the car, and the symphony of 12 instruments.. This is a video that captures for a few seconds, the maximum feeling of being alive.
Totally agree. Theres another video I am trying to find of a similar age Its a yellow 375 mm I think. Passenger is filming the sound is like nothing else you can hear the guy freaking out that he is riding in a 1950s vehicle that breaks the speed limit in first. Epic.
I was fortunate to ride in a non-pontoon fendered TR nearly 30 years ago at Summit Point racetrack. This video is still the one I show people to give an impression of what it was like!
Wow! Saw a 250TR at Coronado Races recently that was flawless. What a sound from that V12!I'd be afraid to drive such a priceless car in traffic! Gotta watch/listen to this again!
It really makes you appreciate how new clutch/gearbox technology has come on, that guy was probably shifting as fast as you could in that car, and yet it seems to take an absolute eternity between gear changes compared to something like an f430 - still nothing can beat that v12 roar :D
i saw one at monza in 76 they had some sort of retro rally going on, and they were using the banking then, it wasnt a race, i think it was just a meet and you can run your classic or just show it off, there was a 250 gto there it was red with a lexan scoop over the middle, you could see all the webbers, it had white racing strip across the nose like a mustashe just below the three vents. two big side pipes but only on one side., they had run the before i got there.
@workensmart Not all 250 TS are worth 8 million dollars... Only the ones with a really good history. For example; Famous drivers who drove it, or had it in possession. Or winners of specific races. And of course, the paper work that the car has been maintained in a good state. Thats when the prices sky scrape to 8 million euro's.
I can't believe he just split the middle of the road like that in that car? At first I was thinking, oh no, he is driving that thing in heavy traffic on a rotary.. but going right down the middle of the road like that pretty much blew everything right out the window.
actually yes, I think there was at least 1 powered by a chevy v8 (around the time period, 1960s) because it was more lightweight and more reliable.... but as for today? no.
@Threadoflength Why not? If he kills someone, who cares hes a rich person with a shinny car. Lets hold only the poor and middle class to the laws and decent standards of society.
My respect to the owner/driver of this fine beast of an automobile, because not many owners have the "huevos" to have their cars of this magnitude out in public like you do!!! 🫡 .
im sure they had permission to drive it if it was left in their care - afterall how can they diagnose issues or set it up if they cant go out and drive it. the issue as i see it is driving it like a loony on public roads
@nikebauer1993 Get some? ok whatever Duke Nukeum. And im impressed with the car, just not the classless owner who thinks he can defy the laws of decent society. My point was the owner should have acted like "hes been there before". the fact that he can spend one or two million on a car doesn't buy my respect. What makes a man is not wether he is successful. But how he handles his success. You'll still young and learn that in time. Good Day Sir.
Yes, the car is a reproduction, but so good it is technically a real one anyway, if I had the money, I would happily pay up to ten million for it, gorgeous car, lucky owner, enjoy
@nikebauer1993 And what was "child-like" about my opinion. The idea the guy should handle himself with a sense of class? Maybe he should of acted like hes been in that spot before? But i understand, "new money" will act like that. PS are you really calling out grammar mistakes on youtube. pathetic.... and that car isnt worth 10 million pounds or even dollars its worth maybe one million unless it was in some race or owned by someone extremely famous but even then 10m is stretch.
LMFAO, drive it like you stole it. Here in Canada, overtaking manouvres like that are highly illegal, and the general public consider folks that drive like that to be inconsiderate douchebags. Of course, I agree that the standard of driving is higher in Europe, but, I wouldn't take such risks with a fine car. I would have waited for the oncoming traffic to pass first, there was clearly enough room there.

I've heard some of these old 3.0 V12 Ferraris in real life but the engine sound from inside the cars is just THE BEST😍
Thank God it's not sitting in a museum collecting dust...I had goose bumps.
Surely one of the most glorious sounds ever recorded. Please, post more videos like this!

Yes. Hell yes.
this is amazing, huge props for driving a $15m car properly! lol at the person who think driving like this means new money; quite the opposite
I hate to say this but, I think it's a kit car. It's no way near fast enough to be a real TR
Eargasm!!
I'm surprised the Porsche 928 didn't feel violated and pass you!
Geddoutadaway Porsche Dude!

My respect to the owner/driver of this fine beast of an automobile, because not many owners have the "huevos" to have their cars of this magnitude out in public like you do!!! 🫡 .
Was there ever a 250TR that was not a V12...I wonder !
Get out of the way, Porsche! I'll show you a thing about cutting in front of me!! WOW!!! WHAT MUSIC!!! 12 cylinders!!!
im sure they had permission to drive it if it was left in their care - afterall how can they diagnose issues or set it up if they cant go out and drive it.

Good Day Sir.
Wish I had a spare 15 million lying around. if it's an original then it's one of only 30 odd in the world.
assuming its a genuine and not a 250 gte based reproduction then thats a ballsy move in whats a £2M car
hornbags!
@hiergehts Silly comment considering its not even legal to pass like this in the USA in the first place.
It's illegal EVERYWHERE.
I came
There's always some jerk behind you who thinks he's Phil Hill...
orgams
oh and £2m, £3m or even £5m my point still stands.
Take II
Porsche. sorry...
