This is my unfiltered UTMB experience. Spending a week in Chamonix with your best friends, making new friends and running one of the toughest races in the world is the ultimate experience. This is my attempt to share some of all the memories, moments, highs and lows we had during, pre and post the race. Hope this can inspire you to take on your own adventure.

The Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) is one of the most iconic mountain ultramarathons in the world. The race takes place in Chamonix and it follows the route of the Tour du Mont Blanc through France, Italy and Switzerland. It has a distance of approximately 171 kilometres, and a total elevation gain of around 10,040 metres. It is widely regarded as one of the most difficult foot races in the world, and one of the largest with more than 2,500 starters. The races have strict entry and qualification requirements attained by accumulating enough race points through qualifying trail races over the previous two-year period.

That was absolutely brilliant! I’ve done the race myself three times and it really reflects the atmosphere. It brought back so many memories! Yeah buddy, you should! I really hope to be there in 2023. Thank you for this film. It reminded me of the struggle, the pain and enormous fight back in 2017 just to reach the finish line and my epic failure in 2019. Amazing race and great filming Marcus (as always). I love this "unfiltered" version! Brilliant! It's just as "raw" as the race is! You managed to capture the pain, the enormous effort, the pain cave(s) and the fight that 90% of us "normal" humans have to do in order to get to the finish line of the UTMB. Great job m8! GRATTIS!!!

Finishing makes this move a true Hollywood story with happy ending. In reality you do not always finish a 100 mile race but I'm really glad I did this time
