Never a dull moment in Mindelo, and always a boat job.Are the batteries having to come from very far away? Not even a single Nat sighting today, what happened?See you next week 🙂
Nice video, I like the vibe. Just one annoying thing, the background music during Steve's interview is too loud at times and doesn't serve much purpose IMHO.
@@WindedVoyage ahh, he's a high tech racer backed by big money. I suppose if you follow that sort of thing, he could be popular. I stopped being interested in sponsored racers about 20 years ago. Might as well be a NASA employee sailing now.
Great video, I followed wondering Steve, he just disappeared about a year ago. I even messaged him encase he was in a pickle and needed some support. I did not hear anything and I wondered what happened to him. I assume your videos run behind time. Can I ask when you last spoke to wondering Steve? Love your videos. I sail in the south west of England, so an armchair sailor in comparison to your good self, But I have the permission from she who must be obeyed to sail Europe for a couple or 3 seasons. So no excuse to get out my arm chair. Your editing is top notch, I watch and learn. Not sure she who must be obeyed would be happy if I got myself such beautiful crew, your a lucky man. Have fun and be lucky.
Spoke to Steve yesterday. He's busy doing boat projects and last weekend took him out for food in Bela Visa, then drinks at la Bodeguita. Thanks for following along and the kind comments.
Just posted on Steve's Chanel If anyone wondering like me what happened to Steve, check this out it was only a few days ago. Steve doing well. th-cam.com/video/4xDFh9uox6Q/w-d-xo.html
I wouldn't trade a small sailboat made for real adventures for a racing though hot sailboat. Neither a Natasha and shtumperote for a snobish girl and a whiskey.
This is true if you have multiple batteries connecting together one battery can completely drain the rest of the batteries, If one battery is bad you don’t have to replace all of them, if they age together , it all depends on the rest of the batteries their amp life Now you know you have to watch the batteries
Never disappointing!!
Never!
The sailing community is the best, i know this has been said countless times but it is true!
Great story from Steve, what an adventure!
:-D
Great story indeed! Steve's da man.

Great episode
Thanks Gus
As Joe Cocker said, "I get by with a little help from my friends."
Alex gets a lot of help, and we do with the little
The boat Steve has took quite a beating! Is it aluminum? Steel? Just asking because I see some angles in the hull that makes me think so.
His boat is still. He wants bigger. BTW, he crossed the Atlantic with difficulty. Took him over a month!
@@WindedVoyage crossed solo I'm guessing. Glad he made it ok. 👍
Good vid Alex.
Thanks
😀👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
Is Stefan going to be joining you any time soon?
He's got a new baby, so not so soon.

There was a jackhammer in the background. The light music sounded better. Plus Steve enjoys background music in his boat.
isn't it nice to be the Boss of your own boat and life walking the beaches with your most favourite shoes....
It is!
what happened to the other 15 mins? :-((
Next week;-))
Where is Natasha ?
The most popular sailor on the world? Who gave him that title? I've never heard of him.
Type Alex Thompson and see the results online.

@@Josef_R I agree with you. It was kind of cool to meet and see his high tech gear compare to many of our low tech vessels.

Brilliant, wondered what had happened to Steve as has the rest of the YBW forum.

Been doing that. Been very careful now.
