The Wine Dark fishing one I got by just fishing and catching Uncommon fish on a planet in that Phase’s system. I initially thought I had to catch some weird creatures, but no, it completed with just Uncommon/B class fish.
I assumed there was other spots to fish in this one, but I remembered the planet type from phase 1, Wine Dark, so I included it. HG obviously did it on purpose. I am not sure why they do this, but it seemed intentional.
TYVM, as it turns out there seems to be other ways of doing some of the things I covered, so even if you didn't start with the preferred loadout, it is still do able. I try and guess whats going to be needed, then jump in blind, so my methods aren't always the best. I then take my footage and try and give decent advice about my struggles. Glad it helped!
Thanks for the tips. Succinct and on point as always. Another one I have is for finding Dihidrogen on the first planet: The large egg-shaped minerals in the ocean give about a glass-potions-worth (30-40ish) each. You will need to have an advanced laser, which you get from the milestone for crafting your first potion. Have fun everyone.
You know as soon as you leave the planet's atmosphere the purple bar fills back to full? Launch fuel is sometimes easier/cheaper than Elixir of Glass One other tip, not necessary but good to know, you can go to other systems by taking a mission in the Anomaly, there is often weird and/or anomalous worlds in those systems
While you're exploring keep an eye out for metal fingers to get uranium and gold. Pugneum can be bought easy enough and Mordite can be refined. I get the upgraded backpack refiner as soon as I can. Really pays off. My problem was I didn't get silver and when I needed it none of the planets had any. I ended up having to find a cave and get it mining cobalt. I didn't know i was going to get the advanced mining laser so I do like normal. I buy it at the first minor settlement I stop at. I'll stop at enough shelters to get the 225 nanites i need to buy it and the teleport receiver. Dig up a few buried technologies and you can install it. I've found that identifying the creatures on planets will give me enough nanites to buy all of the upgrades i want.
This will be my 3rd or 4th expedition. These tips will really be helpful considering the time limit on the expedition. As much as I'd like to get to the Anomaly as soon as possible it sound like I need to stay on the first planet and knock out as many rewards as possible.
going to and from systems isn't too bad on this one, plus you cant fish till you either get the recipe from anomaly, or clone your multi from main save. It really does get pretty easy after getting your stuff tho. The beauty of the game tho, is play how you want, there really is no wrong way!
I’m getting on it asap. Thanks for info on multitask on the Phases. We had gone on expeditions together and those are always the ones that got us going back and forth 😢
LOL, literally splitting up the duplication duties so we could share resources, and ohhhhh that phase 5 base was so awesome with all the teleporters. You should be good on this one, most all you need is in the kingdom system.
@@MrScrubb201kt I found that once I located one, I landed near it, got out, killed it, got in and out of my ship to save, reloaded and it was there again. Repeat each one, done. 👍
IMO IN WINE DARK SEAS was the most confusing. The description says to catch uncommon irradiated fish. It also says catch anomalous fish. I didn't know what was. Turns out all of the uncommon irradiated fish I caught didn't count. There's a planet that bringing up the planets in the system says anomalous fish. When I went there I caught them in a short time. A friend on discord had read up on it and was very helpful.
To me at least, there seemed to be more of this kind of thing in this EXP. HG has always worded things oddly, but this one goes beyond due to many bugs I found that make stuff more confusing for no real reason. Glad you found a spot to get the milestone!
@@J3ST3RIRL It does seem like they could be better about things like that. I'd say it has to confuse a lot of people. I found the place because of help from another person. Discord is a very good place for things like that.
@@flash1259 I have never used "public" discord for this, sadly I just have a server, but dang is it useful in so many ways. I will have to look into general game groups
Started this with a brand new save, but it looks like if I actually want to have the time to get this done, I'm going to have to cheat and stock up on stuff first.
Ya, I am going to touch on this in my review video, 2 weeks for a stand alone Expedition just isn't long enough for MANY folks who have less time to play, specifically new players, or as you said, anyone going in on a fresh save. This one might not even get a "replay" later in the year since it is so close to when they usually do those. Kinda unfair for many players.
I actually never needed the sodium either as there was zero space combat in my run, and hazard prot was the glass elixer, sometimes it's better to have and not need, vs needing and not having.
@@J3ST3RIRL I did bring 20 NipNip to sell which helped swap out the awful lopsided Explorer for a Fighter. This is my second expedition and I am learning now that it's worth looking ahead to other milestones. There is a lot I could have done earlier and easily. Like combining In Wine Dark Seas, In Deep Water and Glassy Stare. I also had to find player base to get the 2nd exotic creature as there appeared to be no other life on the one planet accepted in the system. I've mostly completed Phase 4, just Arachnophobia and move to Phase 5 to complete Ink-Drenched Skies and the last portal.
Thanks. I’m not so good with the shooters. I’m in the first section and I died 10 times already. Pretty wimpy huh? I did finally figure out I can dig holes and work in caves. I’m seriously considering the refining cheat for all that purple liquid. Oh well. I like this expedition.
You can also go in to the difficulty setting and reduce them some but enough to balance the game better for you. Also check your multiplayer PVP setting, nothing worse than beating a ton of baddies then some modded cheater pops out of nowhere and snipers you for no gain except to be King A hole.
Started the expedition last night I guess I forgot to close the game i woke up and hopped on and was being mercilessly attacked by the horrors almost died pay close attention to this one guys
Its actually called tainted metal, the only source I know of consistently is derelict freighters, and that can vary depending on the system. some missions might give it as a reward, but def not inside the Expedition.
I did. lol. It does have the UN on the graphic for it, but I figured it was so small i'd leave it in as a funny. There is also a time I say horrors that kinda sounds like something else.
Uhm Hi, so i am stuck in the Expedition, i went in a far far system with the anomaly and can't travel back to the system with the Missons, how can i get back? (Have no Bases)
As far as I saw, inside the expedition travel to bases other than ones inside were turned off. I would suggest going to anomaly, selecting space stations, then look for one with a rendevous label, hopefully this will get you back on track.
@@J3ST3RIRL I could try, but it didn't worked, cuz it said "base couldn't be loaded" as i was using a Teleporter and now i ask a friend that he could play the Expiditon to the 3 Point and say me the Portal Coordinates
@@atlas3877 This is starting to sound more like a bug IMO, which probably will be looked at by HG in the next day or 2. Sadly, I found this EXP was a bug fest. Very odd on this one as I only saw current exp bases and stations on my anomoly list. Hopefully this gets fixed for you.
When you leave the anomaly it should take you back to where you started. That's what it does normally. If you go to the space station as soon as you get into a system and interact with the teleporter then you should be able to teleport back from other systems. I never have found out what level of interaction is needed with the teleporter so I just click on it like I was going to use it and exit.

Any anomalous world works, not just the first one
Think there are 3 Anomalous worlds across the 5 or 6 systems
Ya in that system there's a planet with red water. That's the one you want to fish on.
