- The official dub to Sonic Legacy Issue 1 is now live! Sonic Legacy is a comic project by Sonic Paradox to bring artists, writers, musicians, and voice actors within the community to be a part of Sonic Paradox who cannot animate! The goal is to create a long-running comic series inspired primarily by the games, but incorporates material from every continuity, as well as establishing its own foothold! Join a slightly younger Sonic as he starts off his adventure in an all-too familiar location, meeting new friends and foes alike!

has anyone else thought about how painful it must have been for sonic to hav sand in his eye(s). like seriously he just has a pile of sand on his face in one panel, and is surprising that he doesnt just lose his mind from the pain.
This is the same hedgehog that can breathe fine in space, soooo I don't wanna hear it. Also his eyes can survive winds that come close to the speed of sound. Sand is the least of his worries I'm sure.

@Aly Awesome has a valid point. If Sonic doesn't have any problem with particulates and dust hitting his eye while running at super Sonic speeds, it's pretty obvious his eyes are tougher than they look.
I think there was an episode of DBZ where Gohan was teaching what's her name to fly and they addressed an issue like this.

@@cyanryann64 My recording setup wasn't totally optimized back when we recorded for Issue 1, haha. Should see an improvement when the dub for 2 rolls around, as I did that in a much better setup.
That's reasonably a fitting comic. Coincidentally, there is a dolphin in the mainstream comics named Echo.

NGL, at 0:35 when the wall of text started showing up and the rock music is playing, I was waiting for the DBZ narrator to talk.
Usually not into fan comics like this, but this was pretty good. I think it would make a great Sonic Genesis Hack.

Loving this retelling of the start of Sonics adventure and the new characters! Especially love the inclusion of Omelette, I loved her design the fans came up with after Mania came out!

The voice acting is... Kinda meh, to be honest. I'm not saying that I can do better or anything, but I can't help but feel like Sonic Paradox usually does better with their voice acting. I dunno, maybe it's just cause it's a comic dub or my phone's audio isn't good. It just isn't as good as I thought it would be.
Comic's great though, read the whole thing on Tapastic.
Yea it wasn't top tier but i think they did fine, just add a little more character to it if anything.
@@piplupsuper0 Yeah, character is probably what was lacking. I think Sonic's voice was fine, for the most part. But for Tempest and Omelette, not so much.
The first issue dubbing was a bit rougher due to changing hands and directors. That shouldn't be a problem come issue 2 onwards!
Sonic's VA sounds a LOT like the most recent official VA for Silver of all characters.
Maybe I'm just used to Roger at this point...

Im confused, it took long to release this which i can understand, but some of the mic quality on some of the actors are underwhelming, the editing could have bee much better considering you own the comic, animate the text and speech bubbles for example, more camera shaking, more action is basically what im saying.
The rest was good.
We had a rough patch with Issue 1 on the audio side, between changing hands on directors and editors, and microphone issues. Issue 2 onwards will not have these issues!
@@CelestOrion i apreciate you understand of the issues, good luck with issue 2, personally tho, with the issues you faced for issue 1, it would have paued off just to start over and have a better finished product, you guys are a far bigger team than most of us dubbers have.

We actually have no desire for Tempest to become official because then her character would be limited to their mandates and such.

Honestly, Tempest could arrive in a time travel game, where eggman stops sonic from ever meeting tails, thus making water levels fun

As some genuine criticism, some of the jokes fall flat but otherwise solid dialog. As for the voice acting... eh, could do with working on, but serviceable. And the artwork, it looks pretty darn similar to the current idw comic art style, just lacking slightly in overall detail and refinery. But as a whole, a really good fan-made comic, props to all so far.

Got to say, seeing sonic having a speed rival is cool, plus what’s sad for sonic is that water take sup most of the world and he can run on land so rip for him, though he is able to run of water with his boost attack, so yea still he can run on all those areas so that’s nice.

Not gonna lie, I really wish Omelette was canon. She's so charming! She's basically the Bowser Jr. of the Sonic series and she was created all because of players thought she was a new boss but it was just Eggman upside down! She's not even official for crying out loud.
Jeice The creator said that he was okay with her becoming official. Maybe she will show up in Mania II.
Here's hoping Sega doesn't issue a cease-and-desist on this little love project you guys are doing...
SEGA's pretty lenient on fan projects and even promotes some of them on the official Sonic channel. The biggest thing is to not sell it, which is never our goal or intention.
