There's something really eerie about the combination of everything here - the album photo of a lone radio tower against a clear but darkening sky, the static-laden aesthetic of the tracks, and even the names of the tracks themselves... and yet somehow, it's also oddly calming in a way, perhaps even comforting. Quite strange, but very cool.
This is all that remains of lives that did not have a happy ending. A lonely and melancholy piece of anguish that we call memory. And with that you feel sorry for people you’ve never met

Hearing the instrumental of "The Spy Who Loved Me" like this feels like you were up all night and right before the sun rises, fatigue and the beckoning thought of curling into bed hits you. Magical in a very odd way.
Am I the only one that realizes the similarities between "Propagation" and Luis Miguel's "Ahora te puedes marchar"? They sound so similar, I can't get over it. *EDIT:* Hey, I wasn't that far off. I found an answer to this same question on the artist's twitter page, and according to them: _"The sample used for that track was from an old K-Mart store music cassette, and those tapes have been known to include covers of songs like that."_ So yeah, it kinda is Luis Miguel's song, it was just transformed into something else on the way, quite magical indeed.
When I was a kid, I would tune my analog dial radio just slightly off of the easy listening station in our area because it made me feel exactly the same way this album does. Thank you, @EtheReal Media
There's something about that noisy picture with the radio antenna, and the music of this album that makes it so magic to watch and listen. Pure nostalgia, I may say
00:00 Hazy memories of car rides though the city as a kid, remembering the music blasting though the car speakers as you were amazed by the pretty lights around you. 1:10 You were messing your phone's build in radio, and encountered a classical music station, even though its not your cup of tea, you decide to tune in...and to your delight, it got better as you listened :) 4:53 Personal favorite. Makes me emotional and warm, like crying into the shoulder of a close friend you haven seen in ages. I cant put my finger on what exactly this reminds me of, but that's most likely the beauty of it. 8:29 Perfect for falling asleep too, such a soothing melody and it takes me back
@@origins183 There's a spanish song from Luis Miguel called "Ahora te puedes marchar" not entirely sure if this is the original but i grew up with this song
I've totally heard already "Propagation" but I'm not sure where... Is sampled from a anime opening? A Christmas song? "Reception" is sampled from "Chained Melody", the first two idk at all
People are saying it's from a K-Mart tape, but the base song is either "I only want to be with you" - Dusty Springfield, or "Ahora te puedes marchar" - Luis Miguel. They have the same melody.
This is like the customer service 'please hold' version of 'Everywhere at the end of time'.

90s-2000s radio type of sound it's nostalgic sounding
it's like a distant childhood memory of when all the media you consumed was all analog radio and television
The tiny old radio at grandma's house kitchen...

how is this not more popular? one of the best signal wave albums/eps ive heard
in a few years this is going to be one of the classics
This is like having a dream about exploring an abandoned mall in the middle of nowhere. You're lost and alone, but it's strangely comforting.
one of the best signalwave records tbh
Awesome, I heard about this from Pad Chennington, and I'm glad I listened to it.
@PadChennington has turned me on to so much great music as well.

This album just gives off watching the sun rise at 6am in the cold midwestern winter after you had an all nighter. It just fits it so well.
Sunrises after all nighters are the best. Southwest, Midwest, Northwest, east coast, winter, summer or autumn it makes no difference.

It's the same song
In New Zealand, this song was actually used as a jingle for TV Channel 2 in the 90s so it is absolutely perfect nostalgia for people who grew up there

This is by far my favorite signalwave album of all time. Pure and peaceful melancholy.

Holy crap, it's an instrumental of a song I heard 2 or 3 times a day for my entire childhood- and yet I still don't know the original name or artist
El tema original es ' I only want to be with you' de Dusty Springfield. No sé si el instrumental tendrá su origen más atrás.
Pad sent me.
