    Be your own best singing teacher and improve your singing with this accompanied vocal warmup. It's best to sing daily, but it is very important to warm up your voice properly before a gig, rehearsal, voice lesson, or chorus rehearsal. Enjoy! These are great vocal exercises for everyone, but especially for building your vocal range in the soprano, tenor, and lead range. These exercises work great as individual vocal warmups, a great start to group singing practice, as well as can be done in unison as chorus warmups or choir warmups.
    Sing higher with ease by working with vocal exercises and warmups that bring you through those ranges progressively and easily. Eliminate vocal strain, keep your voice safe and healthy, and extend your vocal range! Sing higher with ease, extend your singing range, warm up for sopranos, altos, baritones, basses, and tenors!

    Hello Kath…..
    I across your page about a week ago, and I’ve been practicing your vocal exercises daily. I’m thrilled to say I’ve noticed such a big improvement already! If you could share any additional exercises to expand my vocal range or suggest different styles of ad-libs, like R&B runs, pop riffs, and soulful harmonies, I’d love to explore and strengthen my voice even more. Any song techniques you recommend would also be greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping me discover a new level in my singing journey! From Zimbabwe 🇿🇼

    I am really enjoying your videos and it feels like they have been really helping over time. I have a question about mixed voice - many TH-cam channels and vocal coaches encourage exaggerated nasal exercises to help develop this. I've noticed in your videos about mixed voice and vocal break you don't seem to include these. Would you mind explaining the technical reasons for this? Or whether you would recommend incorporating nasal exercises in any circumstances? Thank you, I really appreciate your videos and your approach.

      Hi there! I think it’s very easy to misinterpret those particular exercises and add way too much tension. Usually their intent is to create full vocal folds closure and efficiency.
      I like some of these exercises:

    Hi there,
    Is this exercise suitable as a warm up, not a workout as such thanks?
    Love you how you demonstrate all the way through!

    • @VocalWarmupsWithKathleen
      @VocalWarmupsWithKathleen  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, it can be used as a warmup - I try to start all of my videos with exercises that are a bit more gentle or use limited range so that people can jump right in!

    Again thank you for your wonderful videos! I have a question: I have absolutely no problem with the lip trills but I can’t seem to do the tong trill. Is there anythinf specific to take into account here? Or is it just a matter of practice?

    • @VocalWarmupsWithKathleen
      @VocalWarmupsWithKathleen  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ah, this can be a challenge to learn. Also, semantically, people definitely use "tongue trill" differently, either:
      1- blowing a raspberry: (for me, top lip moving during this is fine!) th-cam.com/video/0JOE7d1Y9x0/w-d-xo.html
      2 - rolling an rr like in Spanish: th-cam.com/video/w4N0RtkN3Ag/w-d-xo.html
      Hope one of those helps.

    Question how many times a week should I be practicing to see improvement at the moment I’ve been trying to do around 4 times a week of sitting down doing a long warmup and following your videos then practicing songs in my rep plus I do an hour singing lesson and choir will this be enough for consistent improvement or should I be doing more than that?

    • @VocalWarmupsWithKathleen
      @VocalWarmupsWithKathleen  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great question - it's very personal for everyone... what you are doing will definitely earn your some improvement. Make sure to rest if you feel tired!

    Is it safe to use your vocal exercises more than once a day or to combine them?

    • @VocalWarmupsWithKathleen
      @VocalWarmupsWithKathleen  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Absolutely! As long as nothing hurts and you're keeping an eye on tension, most voices can handle quite a bit of singing each day =)
