I play this with 2 hands. I learned it very very slowly. My signature piece. E Minor❤️❤️ I became so obsessed with this piece last year I made it possible with two hands.
That’s incredible! If you see this comment, could explain how you learned the piece? Did you adapt the 4 hand version, or is there a written 2 hand version
Wunderschöne Arie, so ruhig und elegant, mit leichten Tempo, zärtlich und grandios, Rhythmus Mazurka spürbar, eine herrliche klassische Ballade, wunderbar romantisch, gefühlvoll, alte Volkslied in die slawische Ländern , Meister seines Fachs, Danke Hauser König 👑
This is one of my alltime-favorite pieces! I love the orchestra version so much and was happy last year when my piano teacher introduced me to the 4-hand piano version. We had fun playing it together - it's just such wonderful music! Of course we didn't reach your level of voicing and accuracy, but it was cloud nine in music heaven for me anyhow! You and your wife did an excellent job as always - thank you so much for this special treat in the name of all Dvorak-lovers out there!
Middle part is fantastic...The ornamentation is wonderfully light, sounds so clean. Your duet is very harmonious...would be great if you make more duets! Thank you!
Thank you for the beautiful music! We wonder why not having another version that Lindsey plays the main melody higher keys, and Josh plays the base the lower keys?
Again, wonderful to listen to you both! I actually never listened to much of Dvorak but this was very enjoyable! Aside from that: I see that you have to pianos right next to each other. I always wondered how much one could play with the timbre of two pianos in a performance to give some sort of unique touch to some played piece. For example when playing two interwoven melodic lines one could switch back and forth the roles the pianos play. Or one could try to play around with just one melody emphasizing notes by switching around. Certainly isnt practical but sounds like a fun project to try! :)) Since you and your wife seem to do a lot of play and practice lately maybe consider playing around with that idea. I would love to see smth along this line
Hello again Josh. The piano deities are yet spoiling their human friends with another epic performance from their infinite oeuvres! Beautifiul arrangement of an epic orchestra pieces by one of the top orchestral composers Dvorak! Who arranged this piece for piano as seen here? I gotta admit that pianists who play orchestral arrangments are working twice as hard as when they are playing solo pieces. Thyink of it. They must play the role of the conductor and voice all the individual keys, turning 88 keys into the many unique roles found in an orchestra. While in a real orchestra each person has only one role, you and Lindsey must play, like I estimate, 12 roles each with two hands, making each instrumental voice sing. Gosh, that is seriously a superhuman feat! That really inspires me to actually sit myself at the piano and go practice my 5 challenging pieces (challenging only for me but for you and Lindsey, I am pretty sure that you could both learn them and perfect them in your sleep). they are From a Wandering iceberg by Edward Macdowell, Etude op 1 no 4 by Franz Liszt (what I play when I realize I can never touch the transcendental etudes) Prelude in G Major from Well Tempered Clavier part 2 by JS Bach Sonata op 79 Movemnet 1 by Beethoven Reverie by Debussy Now as the school year is about to end I must admit a terrible secret: Ever since discovering your channel, I have been hesitant to actually watch any one of your videos and directly apply them into my practice! I know that each skill thyat you mention will take a long time and much hard work for me ti improve on, so this summer when I have more time, I was thinking of digging up some of your videos and actually dedicating myself, for once in my lifetime, to attempt to improve my skills. Even as a human being and not a piano deity, I still have much room for improvement. As Horowitz once said, "The piano is an orchestra with 88...... things, you know." i agree with this 100%. with the huge potential of the piano, many pieces intended for piano could be easily arranged for the power of the orchestra and vice versa, and you and Lindsey definitely brought out the true orchestral (or even more powerful) potential of the piano. Plus this May marks the 1st anniversary of my contact with the wonderful amazing combined classical music TH-cam community. The impressive team of amateurs and professionals who make up the TH-cam community are some of the best companions ever and continue to inspire me to this very day. here ist o another year of personal improvement and growth in the classical world. I didn't mean to go off topic, but here is a question for you and Lindsey: How was your special mother's day weekend? Did you have a good time?
i bought a unweighted keys keyboard to practice with and im beginner but i want to become good with piano so should i buy weighted keys piano but i dont have the money for it and i read that u should have wieghted keys piano because your technique will be bad when u switch to a weighted after paractising with unweighted so should i practice with the unweighted that i bought or try to get the money to buy weighted and then practice with it
Excellent! Note: Thanks for including to write using original Czech letter. But one is missing = The "i" in Antonín Dvořák should be also the long one (with the "accent" sign) = Antonín not Antonin.
Hi Josh, i wanted to Ask if you have some advices for someone who is trying to open a TH-cam/Instagram classical music Channel (and yes, its me). I don't want to make vlogs or talked videos like yours, but purely performance videos. I'm not even all that good yet (i'm going to start my Chopin etudes next year) and i wanted to know your opinion. Thanks in Advance.
Just start posting. Don’t be paralyzed by perfection, and don’t let negative comments derail you. The most negative voices always seem the loudest but 99% of people are good. It’s the 1% of idiots that can really destroy you, if you let them. Don’t let them
Such a lovely and gifted couple like you should play Schubert's Fantasie in F minor for 4 hands / 2 pianos 😉😉😉
Thank you. Not only was it beautiful it was also a lot of fun.

Always sooooooo beautiful!!!... ♥️🎼🎵🎶🎹
A perfectly chosen tempo which never compromises the expressiveness of the main theme.
Lovely.

Awesome! It's always so sweet to hear you two play together.
Beautiful....
Love the overhead shot. What an excellent performance!
Who is pushing the pedal?))) Very nice togetherness with such dances from a time that seems long gone. Thank you.
Usually pedal is taken care of by secondo (the player who plays the lower register)
Beautiful! What a nice thing for a married couple to be able to do
Middle part is fantastic...The ornamentation is wonderfully light, sounds so clean. Your duet is very harmonious...would be great if you make more duets! Thank you!

So beautiful! Wonderfully coordinated dynamics. I'll bet the two of you have played together before...;-)
Again, wonderful to listen to you both! I actually never listened to much of Dvorak but this was very enjoyable!

My guy just wrote a full essay lol
Thanks Brandon. We’re doing well. Hope you have a nice week

I played Slavic tale with a few other students and instructors

@@joshwrightpiano thank you really much
Really, your hands look massive. Would you mind telling me what your span? For example, C to G.
Amazing video btw!
A tenth. Barely an eleventh if I’m on the edge of the keys
I need four hands. Piano so much easier that way.
