Love this guy, have really been missing him these past 10 years because I haven't seen him in anything since Wrath of the Titans. Its good to have him back.

Am I the only person who thinks this guy deserves more roles than what he's getting?
I think he's made the choice himself to step back from frequent acting. But he is a very good actor. In the Avatar clip that was shown with Zoe's appearance on The Tonight Show, when Sam says, "He had our children, he had 'em under his knife!" it really blows me away. Just an incredible scene from the both of them, the clip here is a continuation of that scene.
Saw him in Under the Banner of Heaven and he was phenomenal in it.
He has the Charisma for sure and he is the type of guy at least for me where you can relate to when he plays a character. idk what it is
I wanna say yes but at the same time. This man is literally in the biggest movie of all time. If you see him you just literally know where he’s from. And the fact there’s a second part is just even more revenue to his name
He was the main actor/star of several good movies soon after Avatar 1. He’s a great actor and like mentioned above I’m sure he’s chosen to step away for a bit maybe because of family…
It's crazy how the first Avatar still holds up, I went to watch it when it was re-released a few weeks ago, and I was thinking "This still looks better than the movies being made today 13 years later" and then came the preview for the sequel and I was blown away but how much better it looks compared to the first Avatar, it's a major improvement over something that already looked perfect. James Cameron is such a gift to cinema. He outdid himself when no one else could even match what he has done in 2009. Insane.
It really does look better than 99% of newer movies!
He truly did man you have to see Avatar 2 in 3D man I was blown away by how that footage looked also but in 3D it was other worldly 🤩🤯
That's true of a lot of great movies. The original Jurassic Park dinosaurs hold up well against a lot of what comes out today even, because of how much work they put in blending them seamlessly with the environment around them.
@@swmut that's because they knew how to blend practical effects with cg, a majority of the scenes contained animatronics.
Some of Avatar holds up. Other scenes, not so much. Thinking of scenes of the base that look very much like a video game cut scene. Not actively bad, just not cinematic. The 3D was very good, though.
I've seen him do so many American accented roles, I can't believe he's Australian... Mason is one of my favorite characters of all time and his voice acting is truly incredible AND unique

The look on Sam's face when he watched the scene. There are actors that can't stand watching themselves on screen. He seemed like he was one of them! HAHAHA! Seriously.... I can't wait to see Avatar 2. James Cameron's track record with sequels is 100%! I hope this does well in theaters because I want more Avatar movies!

I love Sam, he is such a down to earth guy. Wish he was in more but I respect his choice to not be overly busy. Just enjoy him on the screen!
The way everybody in the film talks about how it's story and meaning is very emotional. None of them even discusses (unless asked) the films cutting edge effects. This tells the movie would be beyond awesome.

I love that in interviews Jimmy Fallon talking with the guests bit differently. So with the same movie you getting full picture about shooting, actors and their experience, director, fun on set - and it's nice and not boring to watch 💖
Can we just take a moment to appreciate that these guys filmed underwater for prolonged periods, with James speaking to them and giving them direction... That's wild!
You just have to see this movie for the first time in Imax 3D.
A beautiful, touching film with a message, the effects in the next Avatar once again set new boundaries of cinematography.
We left the cinema delighted, I was additionally sore from the not very comfortable seats and with aching knees from the small amount of space between the rows, but it was worth it!
You can go to ODEON Luxe their seats are pretty comfy, but tickets are more expensive. They only have reclining seats for every cinema
He stays in character also this guy is a great actor glad he doesn't just take roles for the heck of it and actually takes his time in the role s he choses

I remember watching part 1 at the theater, it was my very first 3D movie and I was so amazed how it looked, and it was such a good movie.

Love Sam Worhtington, I was introduced to him in 2010 when he played Alex Mason in black ops 1. One of my favorite games, with one of my favorite actors, from a great time in my life

The crazy thing about The Way of Water is, Sam's character--good as it is--isn't even the best one. The entire cast gave incredible performances.
Dude hasn't aged a day, looks great! He's quite underrated and honestly works best as a supporting character. I love him as Jake and think he's fantastic in Avatar, but his performances in Everest and Hacksaw Ridge are his best

Hey, I still prefer Keanu over Worthington....he just can't act. And maybe Worthington doesn't stand out too much but he can still act unlike Keanu. Worthington, to me, is still likeable in his chill ways.
Sam is an incredibly low key Aussie treasure. His performance as Marcus Wright I think is my favourite. This relatively unassuming guy has such massive screen presence!

Sam Worthington is a great guy. We recently watched him in the faith-based movie, The Shack, co-starring with Country singer Tim McGraw. Great movie. Great guy.
He is a Christian and starred in Avatar and Hacksaw Ridge and cut his teeth in Australian cop shows as Water Rats and Blue Heelers.

Avatar is ! Some of the scene is even deeply disturbing !!!! You certainly cried like a babay while watching it .
A lot of people are saying "why haven't we seen more of him" well he did shoot 5 Avatar movies back to back each like 3 hours long. And Avatar is not shot traditionally, so its gonna take longer. So thats probably a large part of it.
I forgot how charming and humble Sam is. Glad to see him back!
