Ive been working on these problems for a very long time and my best idea is that time, space, heat, speed of light, they all have similar properties that could explain the universe. If you think about absolute zero, the coldest possible temp. Its like a singularity, the colder you try to make something the more energy you have to use to cool it, to get it to absolute zerro you would need an infinite amount of energy. To speed up a spacecraft in space, you have to add more energy, to get to the speed of light you would need infinite energy. The same similar concept happens inside a blackhole The center of the black hole doesn't actually exist. Everything that falls into a black hole stays on the horizon, what happens is it shrinks relative to our perspective. you shrink as you fall towards singularity. The further you fall the more you shrink. from your perspective it seems like the universe is expanding, the distant elusive singularity is always out of reach because space expands (or you shrink, depending on your reference frame) for eternity it would take an infinite amount of time to reach the singularity. With all this said, all these aspects of the universe follow a curve, a type of curve where if you want to get closer to it, it requires more energy, more space, more time. All these things follow a rule called the inverse square law. Its all relative, lets say perhaps you are a being who is much larger than our Universe, our Universe is just a little bunch of atoms, like a pebble. When you grab the pebble it would feel like its frozen, cold. but if you shrink yourself to our size, the Universe appears to be burning and hot, if you shrink yourself to the size of a plank length, then the material that makes up your house for example would llook like a bunch of burning hot suns (atoms) Its all about perspective and reference frames. The Universe is quite literally a paradox that changes based on your reference frame. This concept also relates to time. If you are a being who is much larger than our universe, then time flows alot faster, alot alot faster. Our little world would flash by in a picosecond. But if we had telescopes large enough to peer out and see this massive being. That being would appear to be frozen in time, not moving. our perspectives on time would be a lot different.

I am reminded of the Purusha suktam which says the universe has 4 parts; 1 part is visible and temporal and keeps going through endless cycles of expansion and contractions, the other 3/4ths are invisible and eternal. What we consider to be the beginning of space time is just then end of one cycle and the beginning of the next one just our physical universe. The non physical universe which contains it but it itself is contained by nothing is eternal.

Every cause is in turn an effect also. Seed is the cause of a tree and also an effect of a tree. Your parents are your cause but they are effects of your grand parents. So if you tell a kid that God created the universe, it will be followed by an immediate question: Who created God? So if God is the cause then by the same law he is also an effect. Advaita says Brahman is causeless, Karya Karana Vilakshanam (free from cause and effect). How so? What about the world? Well if the world was really there, then we can talk about cause and effect. What about all this we experience? It is just an imagination, not really there. Cause and effect is an illusion, that is the reason we cannot answer which came first, seed or the tree? This paradox reveals the glitch in this so called reality. Same is the direction where Physics is heading. Space time is doomed, it is a common knowledge among scientists that space and time is not fundamental reality, already mathematical structures (Amplituhedron) have been found beyond space and time. Please look up Donald Hoffman and Nima Harkani Hamed. Please listen to lectures on Mandukya Karika by Swami Sarvapriyananda (soundcloud) for clarity on this.
Which is why the philosophy is flawed according to plato. Plato said We cannot keep having the endless cycle of cause and effect. So the only way to break it is to assume, there was eternal energy force at the beginning that was not created. Since expansion of the universe proves space outside the universe, then the eternal energy must exist outside. Some Hindu philosophies were great attempt at understanding the nature of the world. That does not necessarily mean those were all true. Many Puranas are filled with just improbable stories and there are endless inconsistencies. Vedanta is a good logical and intuitive attempt at trying to understand reality; but there are multiple interpretations of Brahman itself. The Advaita interpretation has gained popularity, but it's still in the realm of belief. Logic and intution can be correct and can be incorrect as well. Beyond this, all religions are failures, otherwise thousands of years of those should have solved all the problems of humans!

The question about what happened before the big bang can only be answered by philosophers . The general agreement among Philosophers is that consciousness has always existed before our solar system was created by it . This consciousness is understood as God or a supernatural , intelligent mind .

The craziest thing about the singularity is that within it lied not only matter, but concepts as well. The concept of time, the concept of love, the concept of favorite things, evolution, etc...all of it was an infinitely hot chemical soup that could fit in my hands. If you were outside of that singularity you wouldn't have seen it because light didn't exist yet. It's like trying to define what we would "see" after death (from an atheist point of view)...you wouldn't see black in death or in being outside of existence. So what does "nothing" look like? I feel as though it would be invisible, and that's the closest I can get. If there was "nothing" between us and another galaxy, we wouldn't see it. There would be no distance from our perspective.
Makes sense. The universe, to be all cramped up inside a tiny bubble smaller than a pin head, means previous stuff must have fallen and shrank further as it approached singularity. I have also thought about how the big crunch comes about. As the universe expands, black holes consume their own galaxies until nothing but black holes remain. Then black holes start merging, becoming super massive, giving them more energy to not only shrink things to a singularity but also gravitational ability to merge with distant black holes. It appears like there is a Constant, when there is just not sufficient energy to keep the shrinking going, so the whole shrinking reverses in a massive big bang, as the universe emerges from a primordial black hole from the previous eon, to repeat the cycle for eternity.
A theory doesn't mean it doesn't have proof. A theory is well supported by a large body of evidence. A hypothesis is what doesn't have proof, but is rather an informed guess. So the big bang theory isn't some imaginary guess. It was formulated using evidence obtained during observations and testings
The Rig Veda dives into this topic pretty well. As a science student myself. The big bang theory is just as the name suggests, a theory. There have been talks of a Multiverse as well. But all said and done, the only logical conclusion for this area of astronomy is the word "Eternal". It makes sense if you really think about it. Even if Big Bang theory is taken on face value, there was something that existed before, in the form of potential for the big bang to happen and something existed before that as well and so on. So all in all, Everything being Energy and Energy being Eternal is the only viable statement you could give. Rest all is conjecture that doesn't challenge the above.

True, i think it's illogical to say god created it. Energy in quantum fluctuations and space is pretty much infinite. U need to something to create anything. I have a simple theory to explain expanding universe. If there are any physicists around, please find a way to verify it. First step could be somehow measuring exact light speed in water and compare it with speed in air. I feel speed of lights is not constant but have a deceleration factor which keeps slowing it down in space and gives a feeling of objects moving away. This should explain the illusion of expansion. In my view the universe keeps dumping into black holes and exploding in indefinite cycles.

If this universe started with a big crunch it means there was a previous universe that collapsed. This then brings the question of how did this universe start. With a big bang or a big crunch? Eventually you have to go to the very first universe and ask how did it form? Seeing that exploding is easier than imploding the law of entropy suggests the first universe started with a bang rather than a crunch.

Ive been working on these problems for a very long time and my best idea is that time, space, heat, speed of light, they all have similar properties that could explain the universe. If you think about absolute zero, the coldest possible temp. Its like a singularity, the colder you try to make something the more energy you have to use to cool it, to get it to absolute zerro you would need an infinite amount of energy. To speed up a spacecraft in space, you have to add more energy, to get to the speed of light you would need infinite energy. The same similar concept happens inside a blackhole

Advaita says Brahman is causeless, Karya Karana Vilakshanam (free from cause and effect). How so? What about the world? Well if the world was really there, then we can talk about cause and effect. What about all this we experience? It is just an imagination, not really there. Cause and effect is an illusion, that is the reason we cannot answer which came first, seed or the tree? This paradox reveals the glitch in this so called reality. Same is the direction where Physics is heading. Space time is doomed, it is a common knowledge among scientists that space and time is not fundamental reality, already mathematical structures (Amplituhedron) have been found beyond space and time. Some Hindu philosophies were great attempt at understanding the nature of the world. That does not necessarily mean those were all true. Many Puranas are filled with just improbable stories and there are endless inconsistencies. Vedanta is a good logical and intuitive attempt at trying to understand reality; but there are multiple interpretations of Brahman itself. The Advaita interpretation has gained popularity, but it's still in the realm of belief. Logic and intution can be correct and can be incorrect as well. Beyond this, all religions are failures, otherwise thousands of years of those should have solved all the problems of humans!

The craziest thing about the singularity is that within it lied not only matter, but concepts as well. The concept of time, the concept of love, the concept of favorite things, evolution, etc...all of it was an infinitely hot chemical soup that could fit in my hands. If you were outside of that singularity you wouldn't have seen it because light didn't exist yet. It's like trying to define what we would "see" after death (from an atheist point of view)...you wouldn't see black in death or in being outside of existence. So what does "nothing" look like? I feel as though it would be invisible, and that's the closest I can get. If there was "nothing" between us and another galaxy, we wouldn't see it. There would be no distance from our perspective.

But all said and done, the only logical conclusion for this area of astronomy is the word "Eternal". It makes sense if you really think about it. Even if Big Bang theory is taken on face value, there was something that existed before, in the form of potential for the big bang to happen and something existed before that as well and so on. So all in all, Everything being Energy and Energy being Eternal is the only viable statement you could give. Rest all is conjecture that doesn't challenge the above.

I have a simple theory to explain expanding universe. If there are any physicists around, please find a way to verify it. First step could be somehow measuring exact light speed in water and compare it with speed in air. I feel speed of lights is not constant but have a deceleration factor which keeps slowing it down in space and gives a feeling of objects moving away. This should explain the illusion of expansion. In my view the universe keeps dumping into black holes and exploding in indefinite cycles.

Exactly, like they tale us something today, then discover something 10 or 15 years later. Remmember the time " nothing at the edge of the universe", then after like couple of year they send a spacecraft to take photo and " ohh look their something here"( sorry i don't remmember the name). My point is we only know little about this universe and we are gonna continue to do it in the future.

The universe goes through the cycle of Life and death of his own, The Universe has a limited but long lifespan when the Life span ends The Universe contracts back to the centre forming singularity once again, of course in this process everything from the previous Universe gets destroyed.
Singularity is formed, first it remain slightly stable for a period of time(like Shiva) then becomes Chaotic(as Shakti(an unstable reactive energy develops))with the mix of two energy(One is stable like our Chitt(purest form of our consciousness, which has no form,personality etc.) while other is reactive wants to express it self), with the mix of two singularity becomes Chaotic and it's burst forth & expands,the first will arises with in Universe "Aham Brahamasmi" (I am cosmic, absolute), at the same time with the first rhythm Mahapran(In bhakti yog it commonly knows as Mahalaxmi, Jagat Janani develops) this energy acts as fuel for universe, Chetna(expressed form of Chitt, consciousness is it's consequence) also develops. With the mix of this duality pran and chetna everything in the world develops.

If this universe started with a big crunch it means there was a previous universe that collapsed. This then brings the question of how did this universe start. With a big bang or a big crunch? Eventually you have to go to the very first universe and ask how did it form? Seeing that exploding is easier than imploding the law of entropy suggests the first universe started with a bang rather than a crunch.

I thought the Big Crunch was thrown out years ago. The expansion is speeding up every day, not slowing down. There would have to be 96% more matter in the universe to slow it down. That’s why the big thing to day is dark matter. Can they find dark matter?
