A lot of people assume Damian is the one who gave him all his cuts but Nightwing took the sword from him before the fight started. Meanwhile the dude with the Claws was still there. Nightwing probably had to fight both Damian and Claw guy at the same time leading from him getting slashed by both

Yeah Damien’s attitude and ability to beat people he really shouldn’t have any business beating were the main reasons people did not like him at first, but he’s gotten a lot better since then
He is an interesting character for sure, but these first fanfiction-like appearances were so tainting for him, to me atleast. A very annoying character who kept not learning any lessons. There was some fun stories with the guy, but overall his beginning was simply too annoying for me to like him. By now, i am am mostly okay with the character.

In the comics Damian left batman after using the first Batman beyond suit to become the new leader of the league of assassins. When he first meets Terry they’re enemies but eventually they get on more friendly terms and become reluctant allies.

Not the best of the DC animated movies but definitely better than people give it credit for. The choreography in the fights is great. Can't wait for them to get to the Suicide Squad ones. I feel like they'll really appreciate those.

trust me on this one guys, damian may look like a brat now, but by the time this series of movies ends, he gets some top tier character development and he became my favourite robin, and my favourite robin used to be the teen titans robin

Damian is my favorite Robin along with Tim and his character development is amazing to read about. The people who hate him because he’s “Brat” or “annoying” is understandable and right. But, people need to realize what he has been though and the environment he grow up in. Especially with that kind of mother he has. Anyway he’s my favorite he’s a interesting character. Edit: Plus, he’s a kid and his personality and interaction with people was the only way he was taught to be. They weren’t anyone else to teach him to be kind and respectful.

I feel like these Direct to Video DC films never gave Damian the proper growth he needed to become more likable. By the time we got to Batman: Bat Blood he was tolerable, but in Justice League vs the Teens Titans he was insufferable in the first half. Whereas in films like Batman vs Ninja Turtles and Injustice they have a better balance of Damian being an angsty but likable kid and not going around acting like he's better than everyone.

One thing about this movie that really pissed me off was that they went with the "drugging" storyline, which was an error Grant Morrisson admitted to years ago. He wrote the storyline in "Batman and Son" while relying on "shaky memories" (his words) of "Son of the Demon" where Bruce and Talia slept together but didn't bother to double check, and for some reason he thought drugs were involved in the original (they weren't, Bruce and Talia decided to marry and its actually a pretty romantic read). Anyways, he's long since admitted the mistake, the New 52 corrected the version of events (Bruce says "Damian exists because I let my heart overrule my head"), so why the movie went with this version of events is beyond me. I mean, even the new Death in the Family movie references the correct version of events (Talia lying to Bruce that she had miscarried). I do love Damian and he's probably my favorite DCU character, but I really don't think this movie does him justice. The sequel doesn't either. Bad Blood does a pretty good job though).
yeah, and like if you are going to deal with a drugging/r*pe retcon, go all in. Have Bruce deal with the aftermath of that (don't make jokes about it ugg) and have it play into his relationship with Damian. It would be a perfect way to explain Bruce's rocky relationship with Damian and there is some interesting possibilities to explore there. But no version of this story has ever done it properly so like why keep the retcon.
I know r*pe is a bad thing but wouldn't it make sense? Ra's al Ghul wanted a successor and he saw Batman has one but he wouldn't take it so Thalia got pregnant to insure Ra's gets a successor

@Nick F. Define what you mean by fighting. If you mean hand to hand combat, he beats both jason and tim but has a hard time with damien (dick beats him in this movie so idk). Jason has the edge on him if he has all his equipment to suit his fighting style. But, he is not the worst fighter in the batfamily he's one of the best. I know he gets a lot of hate but I actually love Damian Wayne. He’s like a kid version of Vegeta, a guy who is entitled as hell, let’s everyone he meets know that he’s the biggest badass in the room, BUT can actually back every bit of it up. He doesn’t just talk the talk, he walks the walk. But it’s because of his father that he learns to be a kinder and better person. And in the comics he actually learns over time to not take himself so seriously and enjoy being a kid. It especially shows with his love of animals.
Him backing up his talk is really part of my problem with the character. He's simply too good for my liking, a character whose only flaw is arrogance and yet it is never his downfall is both boring and annoying to me.
@@Hunterfalke except in the movie and in the comics he learns that there is more to life than just being the deadliest warrior alive. He wants to experience more of life and learn more of life.
@@Hunterfalke Grayson was that good too in many iterations, if he was bloodlusted and focused on killing/assassinating it wouldn't be much different. In the Teen Titans movie with Damian, Beast Boy and Blue Beetle are on his level, so it's not like he's an S tier god. The Court of Owls movie kind of craps on Grayson though.
Love the reference of Inverse Ninja theory, which on TV Tropes is called the Conservation of Ninjutsu. If you don't know it, basically, the more enemies there are, the weaker they tend to be, compared to just one.
I think these should be crew picks for a while, because I feel like some of them will end up like this movie, always on the pole but seemingly stuck in 2nd or 3rd place because some of the movies aren't the best but the stories down the line are great and the overall DCAU is really good
I have a big problem with Damian throwing people 12 times his size around. As a martial artist myself, I don't care how good you are, no amount of skill will suddenly make a 300 pound disadvantage go away. He should be striking the eyes, throat and groin. Hard shots to the nose chin and ears. And because he's a master martial artist/ninja have him do pressure point and nerve strike stuff with a heavy reliance on speed, agility, and most importantly their stealth. He can't suddenly launch someone back simply because he can add two extra rotations to his spin round kicks.
Batman v Dracula, Batman Mask of the Phantasm, Batman Beyond Return of the Joker, Batman Year One, Batman Assault on Arkham, Batman The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 and 2 are a must watch! Hope they eventually react to all of these films!
Damian is a badass little boy that was trained by FREAKING RA’S AL GHUL. Who is also is grandfather, The son of Batman and Thalia. Two of the most skilled assassins in the world. So of course this boy is going to have the attitude of his family and his skill sets of them too. He’s like Bakugo and maybe that’s why I love his personality because I love Bakugo

@Nick F. Define what you mean by fighting. If you mean hand to hand combat, he beats both jason and tim but has a hard time with damien (dick beats him in this movie so idk). Jason has the edge on him if he has all his equipment to suit his fighting style. But, he is not the worst fighter in the batfamily he's one of the best. I mean if all you've seen are these movies then I can see why you think that way.
Nightwing is second only to Batman when fighting. That's why Bruce chose him to be Batman in his absence.

I don't know if y'all have ever seen NCIS, but Alfred in this movie was voiced by the man who plays Ducky from NCIS
I know he gets a lot of hate but I actually love Damian Wayne. He’s like a kid version of Vegeta, a guy who is entitled as hell, let’s everyone he meets know that he’s the biggest badass in the room, BUT can actually back every bit of it up. He doesn’t just talk the talk, he walks the walk. But it’s because of his father that he learns to be a kinder and better person.
And in the comics he actually learns over time to not take himself so seriously and enjoy being a kid. It especially shows with his love of animals.
Him backing up his talk is really part of my problem with the character. He's simply too good for my liking, a character whose only flaw is arrogance and yet it is never his downfall is both boring and annoying to me.
@@Hunterfalke except in the movie and in the comics he learns that there is more to life than just being the deadliest warrior alive. He wants to experience more of life and learn more of life.
@@Hunterfalke Grayson was that good too in many iterations, if he was bloodlusted and focused on killing/assassinating it wouldn't be much different.
In the Teen Titans movie with Damian, Beast Boy and Blue Beetle are on his level, so it's not like he's an S tier god.

I think these should be crew picks for a while, because I feel like some of them will end up like this movie, always on the pole but seemingly stuck in 2nd or 3rd place because some of the movies aren't the best but the stories down the line are great and the overall DCAU is really good

I have a big problem with Damian throwing people 12 times his size around. As a martial artist myself, I don't care how good you are, no amount of skill will suddenly make a 300 pound disadvantage go away. He should be striking the eyes, throat and groin. Hard shots to the nose chin and ears. And because he's a master martial artist/ninja have him do pressure point and nerve strike stuff with a heavy reliance on speed, agility, and most importantly their stealth.
He can't suddenly launch someone back simply because he can add two extra rotations to his spin round kicks.
Batman v Dracula, Batman Mask of the Phantasm, Batman Beyond Return of the Joker, Batman Year One, Batman Assault on Arkham, Batman The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 and 2 are a must watch! Hope they eventually react to all of these films!

So of course this boy is going to have the attitude of his family and his skill sets of them too. He’s like Bakugo and maybe that’s why I love his personality because I love Bakugo
