I hear you. I remember sims 2 coming out - it was such an incredible jump in graphics and growing up and just everything - it was wonderful in a way the jump to sims 3 just couldn't be. But every now and then I do get the desire to play sims 1 - when life was simple with no aspirations and generations.

I see many comments about the Sims 3 and how the skins weren't really what everyone thought it they would have been. Here's a tip to make your game awesome looking! xD: Go to graphics in your options menu and set your Sim Detail to very detailed. Now set the reflection on high, lot thingy ma jig to 4 (that what I have), and the shadows, on high or medium. (Something like that). Made my game beautiful.
Sims 2 Had Like A Quest (For PSP Dunno About PC And PS2) And That Made The Game Fun It Wasn't Like Sims 1 Or Even Sims 3 It Was Sims Doing Jobs I Loved That I Still Play It Today Trying To Complete It. Sims 3, A Good Game Lot For You To Do And I Love The Graphics. Sims 1 Haven't Got It BUT! It Looks A Fun Game. Sims 4, Soo Far Good Disapotment For No Todlers And Swimming Pools But, Looks An Amazing World To Explore And Lots Going On. Mine Is Probs Soo Far Is Sims 2.
I feel kinda robbed by the sims... I have played it from the beginning and had every expansion pack except for Diesel, showtime and twaty perry from sims 3... I remember how cool vacation was in sims 1... loved open for business in sims 2... & slides... come on.... And the campsites were great... so was FREE TIME... fixing cars was awesome... the challenges added to the game!! I also want the tragic clown and servo... and to put the gingerbread house with the tree and the fire and have SANTA!!!
The Sims 2 had such a great feel to it, but the overwhelming on Expansionpacks ruined the series for me. They always included little things that I wanted, but forcefed me with crazy things. Like the fact that as soon as you do something a ton of times (watch tv, for example) some random stranger comes knocking on your door and gives you an award or some shit. I'll probably pirate and install The Sims 2 and University only next time I give it a go. Mainly for the sake of nostalgia.
I've played all sims versions, but sims 2 is the one I enjoyed the most, yeah, in sims 3 there are lots of things to do and it's a really great game just as sims 4 has more interactions but I don't know, sims 2 was more fun somehow. And it is not because of nostalgia because I played sims 1 as a kid and still didn't enjoyed it as much as sims 2, gotta LOVE SIMS
Sims 1 = Very fun game and made a better formula than Sim City did. Sim City on the PC and SNES was fun with feeling like a God building and destroying your city, but that got old after a while. In this game, the Sims, you got to control actual people's lives, and make them do stuff. Very innovative for its time, and had some very good expansion packs. Sims 2 = Huge improvement on the original formula from Sims 1. You can make multiple different towns, your sims can age up until they die, and the expansion packs felt great. Seasons, Open for Business, University Life, they were all great. Cheating is what makes the game fun with boolprop testingcheatsenabled true, you can make pretty much anything happen from there. Sims 3 = You can now choose any color for their skin or clothes, you can exit the "prison" of the house, the expansion packs were really great as well, Island Paradise let your sims live on a boat, SuperNatural let you create supernatural sims in a much simpler way than in Sims 2, World Adventures lets your sims go on a great adventure, and there's so much more. But I don't like how they made the boolprop testingcheatsenabled true cheat limited unlike in the Sims 2, and I don't like how you can't make towns from scratch, and I hate that you have to pay for a lot of stuff. I love the Sims 3, but this game is a golddigger.... Sims 4 = This game comes out this year in 2014, but I won't be getting this game until 2015 or 2016, but if this game doesn't let you create towns from scratch again like you were able to in Sims 2, make boolprop testingcheatsenabled true unlimited again, and makes you buy even more stuff than Sims 3 made you, then I'll just say screw this game, and wait and see if Sims 5 is better, though Sims 5 won't come out until around 2019, which is too far in the future to discuss.
have you heard of cracking stuff ? i mean sims 3 is a gold digger i will never pay 500 euros for all expansions is way to much is a great game but 500 euros for all expansions i sould rather crack it even though i should support the developers EA has a lot of games on sale where they can make money on *cough* fifa *couch* wich is a 2013 game that was released even on the ps2 so yeah if in your country piratery is not illegal crack sims 3 with all the expansion look for Sims 3 designer edition V1.5 has all expansions and is size is 60 gigs less than if you would download each expansion pack

Sims 2: Probably my favorite of all the generations, It's challenging to always have to focus on needs but it certainly kept ones focus. Sims 3: I often get bored with this game, it seems almost too easy.
Sims 2 is definitely my favorite. People get so offended when I comment that Sims 2 (in my opinion) is more enjoyable then Sims 3. Glad that I am not the only one who thinks so!
I loved the sims 2. The sims were full of personality, and it was fun to see sims interacting with each other. Furthermore, the sims were more romantic, more playful, and more nurturing to their children. Finally, it was fun to play different sim families,and not have to worry about your other families progressing why you weren't playing them The sims 3 is still fun, and I love the ability to travel anywhere on the map (makes for great screenshots). I also love how the town progresses (especially with nrass mods), and really like the enhanced CAS and customization tools. However, I miss the variety interactions between sims. Too many interactions in the sims 3 are basically the same animation but a different text string. (ex. Talk vs deep conversation). Overall, while I enjoy the sims 3, and have every expansion for it, I always end of going back and playing the sims 2.
So I am like 4-5 years old when I see the first ever Sims game year is 2003.. My cousin josh is playing it with his sister Alecia and our cousin Emily. He makes our family and I am hooked onto the game that my eyes are shining and dazzling. A week later at like 8:00 PM I'm on the old TH-cam and I look up The Sims. At the time there was only one sims so people just called it the Sims. Not sims 1. So I then remember that my dad was going to old day Walmart and Target on his way home from work that night so I grab the phone and have my mom call him so I could talk to him. I ask him if he remembers when Josh showed me the game and he said he did. So I asked him if he could buy it for me and he said "We'll see." So when he got home he handed me the bag and I saw the game: The Sims Deluxe Edition. I ran to the computer and begged him to watch me play it. Sadly I didn't know you had to install anything so when it said install I was very confused. But my dad went downstairs so I was stuck. I kept bugging him to help me but he said he would be up in a minute, which never happened. So I went back up and I clicked install. I knew the button next was there so I clicked it. Then it got to a page where I had to type in a security code. So I was very confused until I read the words "on the outside of the game case or in the manual." So I took the book thing out and looked through it inside out. That's my first day learning to install. Then I made a family. One mom and a lot of kids. Then a notification came up and it said. "Don't let your Kids play with the stove..." I didn't really care until this scary music came on and something red was blurring on the screen and it sounded like fire. Then in my vision I saw the kids curling up onto the ground screaming. (I didn't have a fire alarm) then I saw a black coated figure and I screamed and tried to leave the game but it wouldn't let me. So I screamed loudly when the things voice spoke so I pressed my finger onto the computer button and shut it down by the button and never played the Sims again until 2005 or 06 I can't remember.

When I got back into the Sims again I remember watching a video on TH-cam of the original with a fire and I started laughing at my old reactions. This is the best game ever!

I used to play sims 2 with my sister. Then I asked for sims 2 but my mum got me sims 1 and sims superstar. Sims 1 is really good once you get your head around it. YOU CAN MAKE GOD DAMN SANTA COME TO YOUR HOUSE. In sims 2 the boolprop cheat did more than in sims 3. Then I got Sims 3 for Christmas with one stuff pack. So I have played all the sims games. I think they are all cool. The aspect of the game in sims 3 where you can go out with your sims instead of being stuck in one area is a lot better. Sims 2 is for the best cheats and Sims 1 is for YOLO. (Sims 1 is actuly a really good game)
It seems almost that Sims 1 was geared to be like real life, Sims 2 was supposed to be more wacky and cartoony and the Sims 3 was meant to go back to it's more realistic, less silly roots. I don't know, though. Do you think that's the progression they were going for?
I am not happy with EA, I remember when I started playing sims 1 , but they keep changing the format, I just recently bought a sims 3 disk and it was corrupt. It's sad because sims has always been creative for me. But thanks for the vid.

gameplay wise sims 2 is best hands down even with sims 3 expansion packs i mean in sims 2 we had expansion packs like open for business and it just had overall better gameplay. sims 3 is only better in the graphics department
YIKES! The Sims1 graphics are horrible! But, it was made in a long time ago so I understand. Plus, look at how the sims 4 looks today. So it's different. Plus I've never played sims1. Only Sims2-Sims3 and maybe sims4. Hopefully...
They have one. It's called Island Paradise. You can run a resort, have a house boat, move the houseboat ot any port around the city, you can be a mermaid, you can scuba dive and much more! 10/10 favorite expansion pack.

The Sims 1 for me is the best; maybe because it's the first I played, I was 16 back then (started in 2001), and it has this "cozy" atmosphere. But I still love also 2 and 3, I played both of them aswell :-)

Sims 3 - the best of the series. The open world, graphics, sims themselves, expansions...the game is limitless! I never run out of things to do! I have all the expansions for TS3, and I never tire of it! Sims 2 - I really like this game, don't get me wrong, but I hate how your sim has to go to a phone, call a taxi, and then wait for the taxi in order to leave their house. Then it freezes time on the home lot. Also, without the moodlets, it's so hard for me to find what's my sims needs are. Their need motives go down so fast. If I play a family, this eventually happens: kids get taken by social worker, remaining members of the household die from starvation. It feels too challenging. But...the expansion for TS2 look cool (I only have the base game). I still really like TS2. Sims 1 - the game looks like it has a lot of charm, but I doubt I'd be able to accept the graphics, lolSims 4 - good thing I only got the free trial. I got bored after two hours!

There are many reasons why i love the sims first i was born the year it came out i pllayed sims1 when i was 5 played sims2 when i was 7 played sims3 when i was 10 and now i have all the expations this brings back so many good memories i enjoy that i can still play them ;) im 13 and ik im going to play the sims till i die •-•
Some of these are just upgraded versions of old ones. (e.g. The Sims Hot Date, The Sims 2 Nightlife and The Sims 3 Late Night.) (The Sims Vacation, The Sims 2 Bon Voyage, The Sims 3 Island Paradise.) (The Sims Unleashed, The Sims 2 Pets, The Sims 3 Pets) (The Sims Superstar, The Sims 3 Showtime.) But I still think they are amazing!
i like the sims 2 because they get 2 do more stuff and its realistic. The sims 3- you can teleport and u cant even see them changing the baby's diapers. I say sims 2 is better. And the sims 1- The graffics suck really bad but bak then it was cool graffics. But in the sims 1 u can do more stuff and go on vaca and... well thats really it. So i say sims 2 and sims 1!!!
I like how you're more free in TS3, like you can create more custom sims and houses and you can go anywhere and stuff, but I do miss alot from TS2. The sims 2 introduced me to the sims games. The music alone brings back so many memories. I still prefer the sims 3 tho. My nephew is still stuck on the sims 2. I never played the original sims but those graphics look terrible compared to the current game.

The sims 2 were the BEST ! The music was better, the add-ons and concepts were better, the possibilities were better...I Wish they make the same add-ons with the sims 4, because I really miss the old university add-on (the sims 3 university sucks), Open for business was awesome (i loved running a shop), Bon Voyage was amazing (I want TRUE VACATIONS !), Seasons is Still my favorite but cooler in the sims 2, Life in appartment was amazing (The appartments in V.I.P. Suck) and free Time is so cool
Yeah, I didn't like the Sims 3 at first. I felt the sims were boring and plain but like the open world aspect of the game. With new eps, packs, CC, and DLCs the Sims 3 has greatly improved. I fell in love with the Sims 1; I fell even more in love with the Sims 2, but now the Sims 3 is my favorite. I'm sad we won't be getting anymore eps for it after this year! But hopefully, once the Sims 4 gets its bearing, I'll love that one most of all :D I would say the Sims 3 has best graphics and gameplay.
I remember I started playing The Sims (1) when I was 8 years old. That was in 2006. I started playing Sims 2 when I was 10 years old. In 2008. I started playing Sims 3, when I was 12, and now I am 15, and I really miss the Sims 1! We still got it, but it is broken, I really prefer the music in Sims 1, and both graphics and gameplay in Sims 3. I used to love the Sims 2 the most, but now I think it is boring. Sims 3 is AWESOME. Now I am just waiting for Sims 4:D

Then it got to a page where I had to type in a security code. So I was very confused until I read the words "on the outside of the game case or in the manual." So I took the book thing out and looked through it inside out. That's my first day learning to install. Then I made a family. One mom and a lot of kids. Then a notification came up and it said. "Don't let your Kids play with the stove..." I didn't really care until this scary music came on and something red was blurring on the screen and it sounded like fire. Then in my vision I saw the kids curling up onto the ground screaming. (I didn't have a fire alarm) then I saw a black coated figure and I screamed and tried to leave the game but it wouldn't let me. So I screamed loudly when the things voice spoke so I pressed my finger onto the computer button and shut it down by the button and never played the Sims again until 2005 or 06 I can't remember.

When I got back into the Sims again I remember watching a video on TH-cam of the original with a fire and I started laughing at my old reactions. This is the best game ever!

Haha, I was 5 when Sims 1 came out - my cousin gave me her copy the same month it came out and I played it all the time. My mom wouldn't let me get "Hot Date", though. lol
I used to play sims 2 with my sister. Then I asked for sims 2 but my mum got me sims 1 and sims superstar. Sims 1 is really good once you get your head around it. YOU CAN MAKE GOD DAMN SANTA COME TO YOUR HOUSE. In sims 2 the boolprop cheat did more than in sims 3. Then I got Sims 3 for Christmas with one stuff pack. So I have played all the sims games. I think they are all cool. The aspect of the game in sims 3 where you can go out with your sims instead of being stuck in one area is a lot better. Sims 2 is for the best cheats and Sims 1 is for YOLO. (Sims 1 is actuly a really good game)
It seems almost that Sims 1 was geared to be like real life, Sims 2 was supposed to be more wacky and cartoony and the Sims 3 was meant to go back to it's more realistic, less silly roots. I don't know, though. Do you think that's the progression they were going for?
I am not happy with EA, I remember when I started playing sims 1 , but they keep changing the format, I just recently bought a sims 3 disk and it was corrupt. It's sad because sims has always been creative for me. But thanks for the vid.

gameplay wise sims 2 is best hands down even with sims 3 expansion packs i mean in sims 2 we had expansion packs like open for business and it just had overall better gameplay. sims 3 is only better in the graphics department

The Sims 1 for me is the best; maybe because it's the first I played, I was 16 back then (started in 2001), and it has this "cozy" atmosphere.

Sims 3 - the best of the series. The open world, graphics, sims themselves, expansions...the game is limitless! I never run out of things to do! I have all the expansions for TS3, and I never tire of it! Sims 2 - I really like this game, don't get me wrong, but I hate how your sim has to go to a phone, call a taxi, and then wait for the taxi in order to leave their house. Then it freezes time on the home lot. Also, without the moodlets, it's so hard for me to find what's my sims needs are. Their need motives go down so fast. If I play a family, this eventually happens: kids get taken by social worker, remaining members of the household die from starvation. It feels too challenging. But...the expansion for TS2 look cool (I only have the base game). I still really like TS2. Sims 1 - the game looks like it has a lot of charm, but I doubt I'd be able to accept the graphics, lolSims 4 - good thing I only got the free trial. I got bored after two hours!

I adored the first Sims. I was 10 or 11 at the time I wanted it, and I begged and begged my parents to get me the base game. When I finally got it, I was so happy. I miss Sunny the Clown and his antics. Ha.
There are many reasons why i love the sims first i was born the year it came out i pllayed sims1 when i was 5 played sims2 when i was 7 played sims3 when i was 10 and now i have all the expations this brings back so many good memories i enjoy that i can still play them ;) im 13 and ik im going to play the sims till i die •-•

i like the sims 2 because they get 2 do more stuff and its realistic. The sims 3- you can teleport and u cant even see them changing the baby's diapers. I say sims 2 is better. And the sims 1- The graffics suck really bad but bak then it was cool graffics. But in the sims 1 u can do more stuff and go on vaca and... well thats really it. So i say sims 2 and sims 1!!!
I like how you're more free in TS3, like you can create more custom sims and houses and you can go anywhere and stuff, but I do miss alot from TS2. The memories, the stories in the neighborhoods, the music, the ability to actaully make out instead of just kissing a bit longer... TS2 and TS3 should meet somewhere in the middle... like The Sims 2,5?

The sims 2 introduced me to the sims games. The music alone brings back so many memories. I still prefer the sims 3 tho. My nephew is still stuck on the sims 2. I never played the original sims but those graphics look terrible compared to the current game.

I miss alot of things from The Sims 2...I also liked how they actually got in their cars and not just magically appeared in and out of their cars like in The Sims 3...Its one of those small things that aggravated me.
Those smiles in your faces when either Sims 2 or Sims 3's music plays.. ahaha i can feel them >:P and of course memories synchronizes too :P
I like the sims 3, but the sims 4 has awesome graphics, and the sims 2 has more interactions with certain objects... They should mix it together somehow.
The sims 2 were the BEST ! The music was better, the add-ons and concepts were better, the possibilities were better...I Wish they make the same add-ons with the sims 4, because I really miss the old university add-on (the sims 3 university sucks), Open for business was awesome (i loved running a shop), Bon Voyage was amazing (I want TRUE VACATIONS !), Seasons is Still my favorite but cooler in the sims 2, Life in appartment was amazing (The appartments in V.I.P. Suck) and free Time is so cool
Yeah, I didn't like the Sims 3 at first. I felt the sims were boring and plain but like the open world aspect of the game. With new eps, packs, CC, and DLCs the Sims 3 has greatly improved. I fell in love with the Sims 1; I fell even more in love with the Sims 2, but now the Sims 3 is my favorite. I'm sad we won't be getting anymore eps for it after this year! But hopefully, once the Sims 4 gets its bearing, I'll love that one most of all :D I would say the Sims 3 has best graphics and gameplay.
