The Sims 2 had such a great feel to it, but the overwhelming on Expansionpacks ruined the series for me. They always included little things that I wanted, but forcefed me with crazy things. Like the fact that as soon as you do something a ton of times (watch tv, for example) some random stranger comes knocking on your door and gives you an award or some shit. I'll probably pirate and install The Sims 2 and University only next time I give it a go. Mainly for the sake of nostalgia.
I loved sims 2. It is my favourite. Then sims 4 & 3. I had sims 1, but my dad wouldn't let me play it, I was like, 7. The sims 2 music gives me life omg it brings back so much lol
Haha, I was 5 when Sims 1 came out - my cousin gave me her copy the same month it came out and I played it all the time. My mom wouldn't let me get "Hot Date", though. lol
Sims 1 = Very fun game and made a better formula than Sim City did. Sim City on the PC and SNES was fun with feeling like a God building and destroying your city, but that got old after a while. In this game, the Sims, you got to control actual people's lives, and make them do stuff. Very innovative for its time, and had some very good expansion packs. Sims 2 = Huge improvement on the original formula from Sims 1. You can make multiple different towns, your sims can age up until they die, and the expansion packs felt great. Seasons, Open for Business, University Life, they were all great. Cheating is what makes the game fun with boolprop testingcheatsenabled true, you can make pretty much anything happen from there. Sims 3 = You can now choose any color for their skin or clothes, you can exit the "prison" of the house, the expansion packs were really great as well, Island Paradise let your sims live on a boat, SuperNatural let you create supernatural sims in a much simpler way than in Sims 2, World Adventures lets your sims go on a great adventure, and there's so much more. But I don't like how they made the boolprop testingcheatsenabled true cheat limited unlike in the Sims 2, and I don't like how you can't make towns from scratch, and I hate that you have to pay for a lot of stuff. I love the Sims 3, but this game is a golddigger.... Sims 4 = This game comes out this year in 2014, but I won't be getting this game until 2015 or 2016, but if this game doesn't let you create towns from scratch again like you were able to in Sims 2, make boolprop testingcheatsenabled true unlimited again, and makes you buy even more stuff than Sims 3 made you, then I'll just say screw this game, and wait and see if Sims 5 is better, though Sims 5 won't come out until around 2019, which is too far in the future to discuss.
have you heard of cracking stuff ? i mean sims 3 is a gold digger i will never pay 500 euros for all expansions is way to much is a great game but 500 euros for all expansions i sould rather crack it even though i should support the developers EA has a lot of games on sale where they can make money on *cough* fifa *couch* wich is a 2013 game that was released even on the ps2 so yeah if in your country piratery is not illegal crack sims 3 with all the expansion look for Sims 3 designer edition V1.5 has all expansions and is size is 60 gigs less than if you would download each expansion pack
Sims 1: I loved it oh so much because it was extremely innovative and unique. There were so many possibilities and for its time it was (and in my opinion still is) a beautiful game. Sims 2: Probably my favorite of all the generations, It's challenging to always have to focus on needs but it certainly kept ones focus. Sims 3: I often get bored with this game, it seems almost too easy.
Sims 2 is definitely my favorite. People get so offended when I comment that Sims 2 (in my opinion) is more enjoyable then Sims 3. Glad that I am not the only one who thinks so!
I've played all sims versions, but sims 2 is the one I enjoyed the most, yeah, in sims 3 there are lots of things to do and it's a really great game just as sims 4 has more interactions but I don't know, sims 2 was more fun somehow. And it is not because of nostalgia because I played sims 1 as a kid and still didn't enjoyed it as much as sims 2, gotta LOVE SIMS
I have been playing since 2006. I have every expansion and stuff pack for sims 1 & sims 2, I just got sims 3 for Christmas and I already just bought late night and seasons!
I loved the sims 2. The sims were full of personality, and it was fun to see sims interacting with each other. Furthermore, the sims were more romantic, more playful, and more nurturing to their children. Finally, it was fun to play different sim families, and not have to worry about your other families progressing why you weren't playing them The sims 3 is still fun, and I love the ability to travel anywhere on the map (makes for great screenshots). I also love how the town progresses (especially with nrass mods), and really like the enhanced CAS and customization tools. However, I miss the variety interactions between sims. Too many interactions in the sims 3 are basically the same animation but a different text string. (ex. Talk vs deep conversation). Overall, while I enjoy the sims 3, and have every expansion for it, I always end of going back and playing the sims 2.
Oh my goodness I remember when I would play Sims and I was nine. Never played Sims 2, but at 14 played the heck out of Sims 3. I can't believe Sims 4 is coming out! I lost my Sims 3 CD and just had to buy another and got the University Life EP. A little pricey, but I love playing Sims so it's worth it. It's coming in on Saturday, so excited! Thank you for putting this up
I hear you. I remember sims 2 coming out - it was such an incredible jump in graphics and growing up and just everything - it was wonderful in a way the jump to sims 3 just couldn't be. But every now and then I do get the desire to play sims 1 - when life was simple with no aspirations and generations.
It's so strange... I remember playing most of them, and I know that now it would be really boring of low graphics, but that music always brings back good memories from me and especially bamboo wallpaper!
I still the remember the shock, surprise and asking myself... how on earth do I play this now... the transition from Sims 1 to Sims 2 was INCREDIBLE, twelve years playing this AMAZING game =')
Oh, Sims 1, how I miss thee. I actually started playing Sims 1 when I was around twelve or thirteen, and started playing The Sims 2 well into it's career, around when Bon Voyage came out. I had three expansions for TS1, and I've bought every single one since I started playing TS2. Ah, nostalgia.
I've been playing from Sims to Sims 3 since I was 8 back in 2004 =)) I feel so old but I'm happy that I get to play and experience Sims grow with me :D
This vid literally made me cry... Ive been playing the sims for so long and i completely love it, and how its changing lol definantly gonna buythe sims 4
Cant have one without the others. I have all sims 1 and 2, im still collecting 3. Understand personal preferences but dont dare knock them until you've spent continuous days playing them!! Thats all I say. The Sims is the best ♡
I see many comments about the Sims 3 and how the skins weren't really what everyone thought it they would have been. Here's a tip to make your game awesome looking! xD: Go to graphics in your options menu and set your Sim Detail to very detailed. Now set the reflection on high, lot thingy ma jig to 4 (that what I have), and the shadows, on high or medium. (Something like that). Made my game beautiful.
Man I miss the sims 1 soo much sometimes, listening to the music brings back so many memories of being a tiny little squirt :P I think I might actually buy the album so I can reminisce...
wow they came such a long way I'm stepping into the series with good timing, i started with the Sims Freeplay and the Sims Medieval and next with Sims 4
I used to play sims 2 with my sister. Then I asked for sims 2 but my mum got me sims 1 and sims superstar. Sims 1 is really good once you get your head around it. YOU CAN MAKE GOD DAMN SANTA COME TO YOUR HOUSE. In sims 2 the boolprop cheat did more than in sims 3. Then I got Sims 3 for Christmas with one stuff pack. So I have played all the sims games. I think they are all cool. The aspect of the game in sims 3 where you can go out with your sims instead of being stuck in one area is a lot better. Sims 2 is for the best cheats and Sims 1 is for YOLO. (Sims 1 is actuly a really good game)
I originally could not get hookked to the sims 3 like I did the sims 2 so I bought the sims 2 deluxe played it until I got tired and gave sims 3 another shot. I think the reason some of us don't like the sims 3 as much is because we are still devoted to the sims 2 so play it until it gets old and you will realize how pretty awesome some 3 are. I like that freedom of being able to walk outside the house and go anywhere without the game loading or things at "home" unchanging.
Though Sims 3 is amazing and I love Pets and Generations, I've always loved the expansion packs from Sims 2, they were more down to earth and 'normal' and so much more fun. I loved baking cakes and stuff! Ohhhh miss it!
I miss alot of things from The Sims 2...I also liked how they actually got in their cars and not just magically appeared in and out of their cars like in The Sims 3...Its one of those small things that aggravated me.
My favorite exp of sims 2 was Castaway stories.Loved the music and the gameplay.Right now im playing sims3 high end loft stuff exp pack, mostly beacose i like to build cool modern houses.
I have and love them all, in The Sims 1 there where things to do outside of the house. Like go out on a date have a vacation, but I agree it had more to do at a Sims house. I love Superstar and Makin Magic.
I have been playing Sims since I first got it pn Playstation when I was only six years old. Of course now I play on the computer but, I will always be a fan.
OMG it is completely worth it! first of all! you get to play as supernaturals! there are so many hidden and different skills that come with playing as them! With the sims 2 there seemed to be more to do, than just the regular sims 3, not counting jobs but all you could do in sims 3 was wait until your person got home same with sims 2. But supernatural also has new skin tones, people types, best new clothing and hairstyles I've ever seen in any expansion for sims3 and so many new activities!!
There are many reasons why i love the sims first i was born the year it came out i pllayed sims1 when i was 5 played sims2 when i was 7 played sims3 when i was 10 and now i have all the expations this brings back so many good memories i enjoy that i can still play them ;) im 13 and ik im going to play the sims till i die •-•
Some of these are just upgraded versions of old ones. (e.g. The Sims Hot Date, The Sims 2 Nightlife and The Sims 3 Late Night.) (The Sims Vacation, The Sims 2 Bon Voyage, The Sims 3 Island Paradise.) (The Sims Unleashed, The Sims 2 Pets, The Sims 3 Pets) (The Sims Superstar, The Sims 3 Showtime.) But I still think they are amazing!
Awesome! love the claw machine! Its really cool how they have games like that because i don't remember them having that before XD! And the new bunk beds are too cool! and the one that not really a bunk bed but you've got to climb a ladder to get up! my favorite!
I liked some of the hairstyles and other minor elements in Sims 2 more, but I like Sims 3 better in general because I like how they can actually leave the house without loading screens popping up in between, and I like that the kids don't get taken away by the social worker automatically if they get a bad grade -.-
Sims 3 - the best of the series. The open world, graphics, sims themselves, expansions...the game is limitless! I never run out of things to do! I have all the expansions for TS3, and I never tire of it! Sims 2 - I really like this game, don't get me wrong, but I hate how your sim has to go to a phone, call a taxi, and then wait for the taxi in order to leave their house. Then it freezes time on the home lot. Also, without the moodlets, it's so hard for me to find what's my sims needs are. Their need motives go down so fast. If I play a family, this eventually happens: kids get taken by social worker, remaining members of the household die from starvation. It feels too challenging. But...the expansion for TS2 look cool (I only have the base game). I still really like TS2. Sims 1 - the game looks like it has a lot of charm, but I doubt I'd be able to accept the graphics, lolSims 4 - good thing I only got the free trial. I got bored after two hours!
YAY! its perfect! so much fun and so much new things to do! and guess what else?! its even super compatible with seasons! the festivals and weather all of them are also in moonlight falls and there is a weatherstone that makes your supernaturals stronger and better XD
I love the Sims 1 Music. I love the Sims 2 Items. And I love Sims 3 Graphics. I love the EPs released for all of them. Hopefully EA will get that people still prefer old stuff and mix old and new together. That would be the ultimate Simming experience for me.
The sims 1 music still stuck in my head till this day
Sims 2 will always be my favorite
AGREEE
with or without expansion packs. because it was the most game i played in my childhooood
the sims 1 music= nostalgia at the finest
The Sims 1 :') amazing soundtrack and awesome all round game, that clip had so much nostalgia
The Sims 2 had such a great feel to it, but the overwhelming on Expansionpacks ruined the series for me. They always included little things that I wanted, but forcefed me with crazy things.

is a great game but 500 euros for all expansions i sould rather crack it even though i should support the developers EA has a lot of games on sale where they can make money on *cough* fifa *couch* wich is a 2013 game that was released even on the ps2
so yeah if in your country piratery is not illegal crack sims 3 with all the expansion look for Sims 3 designer edition V1.5 has all expansions and is size is 60 gigs less than if you would download each expansion pack
yeah 1 euro is 9 swedish kroner and 500 euro is about 5000 kronor so i saved 5000 kronor
the friendly egg 1 euro is 4.5 romanian lei
so that makes 2000+ lei
Not So Retro Gamer
still much money
We could be the creators!

This just reminds me of my childhood. Been an avid Sims player since I first saw my Dad and uncle play it when I was around 6 years old.

It's crazy to see how they've changed in each game throughout the years **I feel old now**
Oh my gosh, Sims 2 music is just
I know! It was really addicting. I loved having a shop on my own lot. They really need one for the sims 3 but with a bit more options.
Ohhh I Remember Hearing the Sims 2 Music For Hours!!!!! How I Miss It!
aw, the sims 2 music makes me remember so much memories ...
Brings back soooo many good memories =)... Love them all, Sims 2 I miss the most though ='(
This vid literally made me cry... Ive been playing the sims for so long and i completely love it, and how its changing lol definantly gonna buythe sims 4

i hope the sims gets moving like this for a long time The Sims is my fave game of my childhood and i still love it
man...the sims was my childhood!!!!
The music from Sims 2 gives me so much memories

woahh that sims 1 music hit me ! so many memories
Gosh all those memories! And I miss the Sims 1 music A LOT!!!!
I have never experienced so much nostalgia.

I feel a million years old xD
Nostalgic feels!
Man the theme music for sims 2.
Awww :*)
The sims 2 brings back so many happy memories for me.
:*)
Ahh, memories. The music was so beautiful in the Sims 1. ^.^
Sims 4 is going to be badass! The Sims 2 was my favourite out of TS1-TS3, and I think it's going to recapture a lot of the fun from that game.
Ohhhh miss it!
ikr??? i havn't played this game in so long and it just all came back when i heard this song
I miss alot of things from The Sims 2...I also liked how they actually got in their cars and not just magically appeared in and out of their cars like in The Sims 3...Its one of those small things that aggravated me.
sims 2 was the game of my childhood! This musik make my day!!
All the nostalgia feels! I would love a game with as much rich content as Sims 2 with the gameplay and story progression of sims 3...
I WAS INSTANTLY FILLED WITH NOSTALGIA WITH THE SIMS 2 MUSIC OH MY GOD
My favorite exp of sims 2 was Castaway stories.Loved the music and the gameplay.Right now im playing sims3 high end loft stuff exp pack, mostly beacose i like to build cool modern houses.
When I heard the Sims 2 theme, nostalgia hit me. And hard.
Sims1 was my childhood, Sim2 my awkward middle school memories, Sims3 high school and now, college.
I remember I had the slowest computer and I would have to hear this song FOREVER because it took sooooooooo long to load for the first sims!
My favorite EPS is
1-Showtime
2-Supernatural
3-Late Nigth
They need to do a merge:
-Sims 1 Build/Buy Music (and Makin' Magic, of course)
-Sims 2 gameplay
-Sims 3 CAS, Traits, Pets
-Sims 4 Emotions
Surina Martin No not Sims 3 CAS but Sims 4 CAS, it is way better and I understand.. no Create a Style.
I have and love them all, in The Sims 1 there where things to do outside of the house. Like go out on a date have a vacation, but I agree it had more to do at a Sims house. I love Superstar and Makin Magic.
One day we'll look back at Sims 3 and go "REMEMBER THAT MUSIC?? THAT WAS THE MUSIC OF MY CHILDHOOD"
right when sims 2 music came on i started humming with it, such a catchy tone, they need to put it on sims 3!!
So good memories come back!! :)
The music from Sims 1 was just the best
i found sims over youtube when i was 8. THANKYOU TH-cam FOR MAKING MY TEEN YEARS SO MUCH BETTER!!!!!!
I love sims 2 because it holds so many memory's for me in my life
I have been playing Sims since I first got it pn Playstation when I was only six years old. Of course now I play on the computer but, I will always be a fan.
I want to have that feeling back of when I was a little kid and started to play the Sims 2 for the very first time... C:>
Since then the Sims has been my favorite game in the whole world. It's just an addicting game!!!!!
That's just cause of the nostalgia that's it. So many more features in 3, even in 2.
What a throw back! God, I remember how much I loved Sims 1.. Making Magic was my shit. Anyone else pumped for Sims 4?!
oh , when i listened to the sims 2 music ... good old times
The sims 2 soundtrack just made my day :)
this video gave me a memorygasm.
Awesome! love the claw machine! Its really cool how they have games like that because i don't remember them having that before XD! And the new bunk beds are too cool! and the one that not really a bunk bed but you've got to climb a ladder to get up! my favorite!
OMG such memories with sims 1 sims 2 and sims 3
I liked some of the hairstyles and other minor elements in Sims 2 more, but I like Sims 3 better in general because I like how they can actually leave the house without loading screens popping up in between, and I like that the kids don't get taken away by the social worker automatically if they get a bad grade -.-

But...the expansion for TS2 look cool (I only have the base game). I still really like TS2. Sims 1 - the game looks like it has a lot of charm, but I doubt I'd be able to accept the graphics, lolSims 4 - good thing I only got the free trial. I got bored after two hours!
I love the Sims 1 music, it's amazing and beautiful
This makes me so nostalgic!
1:38 Memories :') This music remembers me i was a kid someday
YAY! its perfect! so much fun and so much new things to do! and guess what else?! its even super compatible with seasons! the festivals and weather all of them are also in moonlight falls and there is a weatherstone that makes your supernaturals stronger and better XD
I love the Sims 1 Music. I love the Sims 2 Items. And I love Sims 3 Graphics. I love the EPs released for all of them. Hopefully EA will get that people still prefer old stuff and mix old and new together. That would be the ultimate Simming experience for me.
