Other than maybe jones or ngannou there is no man in history who beats aspinall more than 5 times out of 10. Tom is a little guy who ended up becoming a big guy. Very dangerous combination. Growing up he must have needed to hone his technique and rely less on strength and physicality. He also has more "dog" in him since he grew up as a smaller kid. Now that he is a big guy he keeps the advantages of being a smaller more skilled individual. Incredible!

@@stormyj14 Oh yeah nobody can deny that, Gane is faster on the feet. Granted, Aspinall has faster hands because he has shorter arms, but Gane has quicker footwork, kicks, and the same head movement. People forget so easily that nobody is more technical than Gane on the feet in the heavyweight.
I just think Tom is especially impressive considering he’s over 260 lbs. That being said, would love a fight between the two. Would be a technical masterclass.

I picked against him, and he proved me wrong in impressive fashion. And I am now a believer without a shadow of a doubt. The way he made Sergei look genuinely shocked me to my core. Never had I seen a heavyweight, not only TANK a solid ass punch from Sergei- but go on to blitz him and make it look easy. Genuinely never been this speechless.

Can't wait to see a healthy and IN SHAPE Aspinall. Dude's going to be insane. Ngannou has more overall power but Aspinall got that twitchy bounce to him. The accuracy and range on his 1-2 last night was insane.

Ngannuo is built like a tank. He is bigger and stronger then Tom Aspinal. In that sense it is unlikely that Tom can take him down and beat him on the ground, unless he tires Ngannuo out first. While Francis hits harder, Tom is faster. But as we saw in the Fury fight Ngannuo has worked on his boxing and is defensively sound. They both have high fight IQs. The real question is who has the better endurance. They would both be a challanging fight for eachother.
Now to argue that Tom Aspinal beats anyone from the past is assinine. The man has access to modern nutrition, steroids and theories. The fact he is as big as he is and is as fast as he is is a testament to that. Plus he does MMA while in the past MMA wasn't even a thing. So you can't really compare them. They are different sports. And in the ancient world who was the baddest was determined by swordsmanship and warfare skill, including archery skill. How would Tom Aspinall fair against an trained archer or swordsmen right he would die.
Muhamed alli while the smaller fighter would likely beat Tom Aspinal at least in a boxing match. The bigger guy doens't always win, sometimes the smaller guy beats the goliath. He had the fastest recorded jab ever for one thing and was extremely elusive in his prime and could take a beating and refused to give up. The problem is he isn't an MMA fighter so yeah in MMA he would lose obviously to Tom and plenty of even mediocre MMA guys. But he is a product of his times. Had he been born today and trained MMA today he would be an entirely different fighter then he was. He is a product of his times. Have him be reborn in the modern world with access to all the same theory and training and nutrition that Tom has and it is another story. The only true way to know who is the best if is you could create a tournament that included the greatest fighters of all ages brought together and trained them under one roof, give them all the same resources and knowledge and potential. And have them all fight in their primes to see who wins. Fight IQ is a big determiner here not just athleticism. If you equalize athleticism then fight IQ and or Endurance determines the winner.
A smaller man could have a higher fight IQ and be a superior fighter but against someone way bigger they stand no chance. Equalize the strength and weight and you will see who is truly the smarter fighter at least.
I personally think Bruce lee could give Tom a run for his money. If he weighed the same that is. If you equalized their weight and size LOL
To Argue Tom is better then a spartan is again stupid. As a Spartan isn't trained in MMA and is trained to kill via tools of war. MMA is a sport. Tom Aspinal would die against a Spartan if he had to fight in their world because he has no training or experience wielding and using weapons of war and using their military tactics. They are different worlds.
It isn't hard to be highly accurate against someone with no head movement. And it isn't hard to land on a fighter who relies on looping punches to win when you have straight punches which we KNOW beats looping punches all day.
Sergei relies on his speed and strength to win fights. But against Tom who is just as big and strong and even faster then he is. Sergei was screwed.
The problem with most MMA fighters is they have horrible boxing and stand up. They focus so heavily on looping punches. Which is why someone with good fundamental boxing skill destroys them all day.

Francis is the hardest match up imo. Tom likes finishing opponents early but Francis doesn't get finished. Francis is also bigger and stronger and has better wrestling than a lot of people realize. There is a big chance where Tom tries to take him down but he can't because Francis is too strong and composed in round 1 and Francis finds the knock out punch while Tom tries being really aggressive.

I have a feeling Fedor would trip him, get on top, and finish the fight after that. People forget how fast, and explosive Fedor was. His takedowns were extremely explosive, and he rarely shot for takedowns. Most of Fedor's takedowns were throws, or trips.

I think Ngannou still beats him for now but Aspinall is easily in the top 3 conversation of most dangerous men hand to hand. Even tho Francis is older, hes been training for less time than aspinall so hes still making huge improvements skillwise. Showed us a whole new level of striking iq in the Fury fight and if hes able to tie all those skills together for his next mma match i think Francis could def beat Tom but i would put Francis as a -200 fav at best. Hes got the chin, hes got the ungodly power and every year hes rounding out his skillset to be a more complete fighter.
Ngannou is less skilled and is getting up there in age. Not to say ngannou cant win, but sergie has that ngannou power and tom ate his hits like tic tacs. I think most peope would give it to Tom.

If Tom Aspinall was in the ring with that version of Fury he would kill him, he's a guy who's actually trained with Fury for years and fury rate him highly, let's be real
We have seen how sturdy Francis is against Fury. While Tom Aspinal is faster and would likely strike Francis multiple times including powerful headshots. The question becomes can he hurt Francis? Does he have enough power. I have no doubt he can land clean hits against Francis. But the question becomes just how sturdy is francis. If Francis can take the hardest punches Tom can throw at him unphased then Francis has a good chance of winning.
But the issue becomes the leg kicks. They would likely wear Francis down and be the key to victory for Tom.
