Holy Smokes, AJ. This episode is truly outstanding. I've been familiar with several aspects of the Simulation Theory for several years now, but you've helped me get a better understanding of the ones I already knew, on top of presenting new, ridiculously complex ones in a digestible way. I cannot emphasize enough how appreciative I am of you (and Hecklefish of course) for your videos. Your entire creative process from beginning to end is among the best I've had the pleasure of experiencing. I truly am thankful I randomly stumbled upon your channel several months ago. You've since become my favorite content creator and you set the bar higher & higher with each video. Please never stop ! We'll eventually crush the algorithm gods and get you to the top, where you belong. Thank you again!
Such a kind and supportive comment, Jeff. It's because of people like you that I continue to do this. Because the algorithm clearly wants to keep this channel a secret!
I've learned a lot about TH-cam's algorithm from the comment sections of K-pop fandoms. They have it figured out to a science on how to boost their Idols popularity and success.
It is a simulation. Not being run from a computer though. When my grandad died, for the last 2 days he had one foot in this reality and his other foot in the next one. He used to lift his hands up to the sky and say ‘wow’! Before he died he told my grandmother that this was all an illusion, and that he was going home. This experience made me believe that this reality is a tour of duty: we volunteer to come here and have these terrestrial experiences, here in this dense-matter, linear time reality. Then we end our tour and go home.
Agreed. If this is a computer simulation, then it is not a simulation of 'base reality'. Because everything in this reality is the result of duality, it runs through all things and has influenced all things. It has influenced evolution, our biologies our cultures, and our religions. Perception itself is based upon duality - for how can one know 'hot' without 'cold', or 'comfort' without 'discomfort'? So what can exist outside of this dualistic state?.. A better description than 'simulation' would be 'None material reality', because simulation implies our understanding of what this is. 'Computer' is just the closest tool word to our understanding, like ancient man describing gods with ploughs and hammers. Eventually humans will come full circle back to the realisation of God. The true pursuit is to untie Science with Spirituality, both are required to keep each other straight and honest. This is true internally as well. Marry your words to your emotions, because otherwise they are both separate, and you live a lie.
I studied chemistry and physics and have a doctorate in physics. Most of my friends in the program believed in the simulation theory BECAUSE of the "if observed" loophole. How does a particle know it is being observed through time? It can't, unless the program tells it to. There is no physical mechanism or law that covers this exception. My advice? Enjoy your time here and be kind to everyone. Don't sweat the small stuff. Be positive, and maybe positive things will happen to you. Our time here is short. We will never know all the secrets, but it is fun to speculate.
Right on. Could be a simulation OR if could just be more evidence of divinity. I'm not religious and haven't stepped foot in a church for anything other than a wedding in 25 years but the older I get - the more convinced I become
"How does a particle *know* it is being observed through time? It can't, *unless the program tells it too." This part concerns me when you say you have a doctorate in Physics, because if you do then you're intentionally misrepresenting what the field of Physics has to say about the Observer Effect. "Of course the introduction of the observer must not be misunderstood to imply that some kind of subjective features are to be brought into the description of nature. The observer has, rather, only the function of registering decisions, i.e., processes in space and time, and it does not matter whether the observer is an apparatus or a human being; but the registration, i.e., the transition from the "possible" to the "actual," is absolutely necessary here and cannot be omitted from the interpretation of quantum theory." - Werner Heisenberg (surely you'd be familiar) "Was the wave function waiting to jump for thousands of millions of years until a single-celled living creature appeared? Or did it have to wait a little longer for some highly qualified measurer - with a PhD?" -John Stewart Bell The measured state is not interfering with the states excluded by the measurement. Richard Feynman phrased it as follows, "Nature does not know what you are looking at, and she behaves the way she is going to behave whether you bother to take down the data or not." Simulation hypotheses are not so different from Solipsism; mental masturbation. Both are unfalsifiable, with both moving the goalposts as inquiry gets more pedantic and exacting. Unfalsifiable propositions and claims are categorically irrational to accept as true or authoritatively refute as false.
Is that where the laser shoots the light particles that split past the divider through multiple holes unless being viewed or something like that ?or vice versa
Hey there this is the first time I've ever left a comment, I have to say after finding the "WHY FILES" you guys have absolutely changed my life! I AM ABSOLUTELY GLUED TO THE CHANNEL!. When my mom passed she was at my home visiting. I woke up suddenly and it felt seem like I levitated straight out of bed. I started running to the room she was staying in. The entire time building up immense tears and saying, "no, no, no, no" over and over. When I entered the room she had already passed. My mom was only 53 yrs old at the time. Looking back I had to have felt her presence and she woke me up to say goodbye or let me know she was gone. I can't explain how else I could've known she that was gone. Saddest day of my life.
Blessings to you King. She is in a beautiful space happy an enjoying herself with loved ones 💓 Probably playing cards in nature with friends an family kickin back 😎 Lots of healing to you fam.... I’m sorry for your loss. Your mom was done her time on Earth & went home. We will all be together in the end anyways. Our mission here is to be kind & to help each other …. To do His work. My mom left this earth at 55.
i have a similar story i’ll keep it short and vague me and my mom both had covid we laid on the couch to take a nap i just randomly wake up and she’s hardly breathing and i call 911 etc etc but i think it was God wakin me up to let me try and save my momma. she passed a month and a half 2 months after tho but God definitely had me wake up for a reason and has kept me strong thru it!
Thanks AJ, I remember a quantum physicist was doing his best to explain retro causality 5 times and every time he failed more miserably than the one before. You fleshed it out for me. Cheers from Australia.
I had a dream once of going into class in middle school and a guy that liked me came up to me to ask me out and I said no, everyone laughed at him. The next day I came into class and the guy was wearing the exact same thing as in my dream. He came up to me and I started to say, “please don’t ask…” but he cut me off and said “I won’t, I know they’re gonna laugh at me”. Then he told me he was having serious déjà vu because he had a dream the night before this exact same thing happening and when it started to play out, he already knew what was going to happen. I told him I had the exact same dream. It was so weird and so creepy, but I’ll always remember that moment and that feeling.
@alih.8747 wow thats crazy. I had a somewhat similar experience once.... When I was a kid.. maybe 8, 9, something like that, I had a dream, and in it was a guy I never met in my life, and people were all around him like he was Jesus, or a chosen one. Well the next day I went to church with my dad, and that same person was on stage as a visiting pastor, basically trying out for the open pastor vacancy. I told my dad he was definitely going to win, I saw it in my dreams (the church had a few different pastors try out in the next few weeks too). Ultimately, the guy I first saw in my dream ended up becoming the pastor.
Death frightens me just because of the possibility that I cease to exist. People often say “you weren’t alive in the 50s, so does that make you scared that you didn’t witness it”, but I disagree with this line of thought because I didn’t exist prior to this (at least not that I know of). If it is eternal nothingness, what is the point? All I can do is be with those that I love and do the things that I love. If I’m happy, and there really is nothing after, at least I know that I got to experience the best things life has to offer. Holding my daughter and son when they were born. Meeting, dating and marrying my wife. Graduating and getting a job at the hospital, and helping others when they are at their worst. Rock climbing. Reading great books. Playing with my children and laughing while they wrestle my golden doodle. Even if I never experience anything after this life, I know that I LIVED in this life. I’m still scared, but I am grateful.
@@nathanmitchell2827 this is an absolutely beautiful comment. I have no doubt that you and your loved ones ARE living this life to the fullest :-) your thoughts are a great reminder to not sweat the small stuff. Thank you
@@nathanmitchell2827 The fearing of death is a natural thing, simply because you don’t know what’s on the other side of the door. But think about this, can you imagine, not existing?
This is definitely something I've considered, but every time I come to the same conclusion: it just doesn't matter. Reality is reality, whether simulated or otherwise. Live your life the best you can, because your experiences and perception are real, even if the world isn't.
@@Cruckavens777 Yes, plenty people care to know. However; whether you know you are in a simulation or not does not change your reality. Everything will be exactly the same for you in your life before having this knowledge, and after. In the end, it really does not matter if we know or not, because it poses no positive, or negative change to your life. It doesn't mean anything. This reality is your reality, and that isn't going to change.
@@ErikWilliamsviolinI think it’s more plausible to ask why it wouldn’t matter to you because what good is living your life if you don’t know what the fuck it’s for? You wake up everyday to do whatever it is you do for what if there’s no deeper meaning? Sure you may say how would it benefit my life to know, well I would say it would affect my choices and how I live and handle my life. What you know or don’t know can absolutely impact your decisions on a day to day basis and not knowing would just fill your life with ignorance and will leave you steps behind versus having more evolved answers. Never underestimate the detrimental power of ignorance and not knowing! I’m willing to bet who you are and how you live your life KNOWING will be very different than who you are and how you live your life NOT KNOWING.
My mother had cancer and when she died, I was asleep in another house, my mother woke me up to say goodbye, there were no words! just the feeling of the words! It's hard to explain! I lay there in bed knowing it was real somehow, but was still confused. Then a few minutes later my dad came in to tell me my mother had passed! It was SOOO weird and I still can't work it out! It's changed how I view life and the afterlife. I'm not sure what I had experienced but I know it's something!!!
I believe there's a heaven and a hell and believing in Jesus will define where you go. God allowed her to say goodbye to you before her destination. God bless you and keep you and stay close to Jesus.
We perceive this reality from each of our POV, but in reality there is one unified field of consciousness. Humanity will take major leaps forward if we can accept this truth. When we can understand that the way we treat others is the way we treat ourself, and we also need to take care of ourselves for the benefit of the whole
@@DannyTillotson man stop with the religious bullshit*t, what if some people don't know or were not taught about jesus? They go to hell then because they don't know or believe jesus. You will most likely be judged on what you did throughout your life rather than what you believe

i‘m christian and i suppose i shouldnt believe this theory, but theres one event in my life that i can‘t seem to forget. I was about 8 or nine, playing on computer in living room as my grandma walked in, talking on our house phone and told me that it was my godmothers birthday and i should call her. i told her i would later. An hour or so later i asked her to tell me my godmothers number, she asked me why i was asking, i told her because she told me to call to congratulate her. she was confused. she told me she didnt tell me that and she had no idea if today was her birthday. i stood there, thinking „mb i had a weird dream“ but how could it be a dream when i was awake long before and i hadnt taken a nap. i did call my godmother and it infact was her birthday. i also thought that my grandmas memory was messing up, but she wasn‘t that old by that time and that woman had a brain of a 20 yr old (70 now but can solve any math problem in her head in minutes, her memory better than ever). idk, im not saying its real.
One of the things that tickles my brain the most about the idea that this reality is a simulation is the idea that whoever the "programmer" is, whoever is watching, is watching us come to this slow realization. I always wonder if within this simulation, their goal was to see how long it would take us to realize it for certain. Or maybe despite their best efforts, we came far enough to "crack" their code. It's all brain candy though. Fun to think about but in the long run, nothing changes for us. We are still held to the rules of this reality, regardless of who or what made it. We still must watch after our health, participate in society, do our work and attain currency. I've always had some hope that a realization of reality as it truly is might be rewarded in some way, but something tells me that even if we're dead on, no one is going to tell us jack.
there was an episode in Black Mirror that made me have another thought on this. What if the creator of our simulation is base reality near their end of their universe and they are creating numerous Hyper Simulations to see if any of us can crack a code to extend their universe. By Hyper I mean to us 1000 years may be 1 second to them. if they have a computer strong enough to simulate our universe they could make this happen.

@CleoPhoenixRT Heavens gates aren't locked. Some souls just want back in the fight. I believe most are here voluntarily. At least the older souls among us anyway.

I'm one of those that believe that Nelson Mandella died in prison. I remember the day it happened and watching it on TV. I was young then and watched it with sitting on the sofa. People were crying and it was on the news. It still amazes me to learn after all these years that what I witness didn't really happen. Its a bit freaky because its still embedded in my memory like very clearly.
Bro...I am sorry to ask you again...I hope you are not faking... because it's really difficult to believe such a mass of people saw something which doesn't exist.... Did you see that alone if not who were there with you and how did they feel about and when did you know it was fake....Did you had any memory what you did at that time and imprint of that present when you get to know it's fake(like you dropped some coffee while seeing it live and when you get to know that's fake the stain vanished/remained) Please answer. I am really curious
I remembered people talking about it after he passed then years later when I heard he was being released I was so confused and just wrote it off as me misremembering. Then I found out about the Mandela effect and was blown away by all the other changes that have happened.
I lost my beloved chihuahua of 13 years, and before the vet put him down I asked my dog to please visit me in my dreams. His lil tongue flicked my face one last time, and yet two days later I had a dream like no other. I was sitting in a chair in a space with no walls and only an unseen light shining down on me. After looking up at the light, I looked down and there he was(only, without the golf ball sized mast tumor on his side)! It was beautiful, and brief, and I didn't care if it was real or not, but God- or whom ever runs the program- truly has a heart! That's enough to keep me believing in a higher power. Just thought I'd share that.
On the contrary, "dude!"My dogs always understand every important word I say. Some words I dare not say in front of them! Words like "ride," "burgers", "go" exetera, are associated with them going with me in my truck. Their favorite activity, and they love hamburgers. I say any of those words, they go nuts. I told that(very true)story about the dream, not to be believed. I couldn't care less if anyone believes me, dude! I just know that there's a higher power than us at play here, and as bad as losing my best friend, devastated me, I needed that dream, and I was given it. That's enough for me.

I remember very clearly when I was a kid, I spent all day cleaning my room and rearranged it. It was spot less and beautiful. I was very happy and proud of my work and the result. I then took a short nap and woke up to use the bathroom. I was very very much awake. I looked at my room and it was a mess. Everything I did earlier in the day didn't happen and I was so confused and upset. I went to the bathroom but my mom was in there and I cried to her that my work was undone and I'd have to do it all over again. One thing I find fascinating is how dreams are also sort of like simulations, and for many of us, they are alternate realities. Sometimes I have dreams that seem to repeat. It’s like I know I’ve had that dream before, even though that dream is different from my assumed reality. Dreams also seem to be rendered like a video game. Sometimes they lack details and things are created as you think of them. At least that’s how mine seem work. I have experienced dreams where I’ve had conversations that feels like I’m conversing with another mind. Questions were posed. Answers were presented. Fascinating video!
Look into the theory that says some of us have the ability to to essentially "dimension hop" via dreams. It's a really neat theory and as a Lucid dreamer myself , definitely intrigued me .
Indeed. I have had dreams so vivid that I can recall them years later. And on waking from them I have felt as though I had lived a portion of another person's life, one that was as grounded as my own is. And there's this strange sense of loss. As I grow older and my faculties grow ever duller, I fear that one day those dreams will become false memories, of a life I never lived.
I have dreams where I can fly ALL the time. even last night. I have to always be holding something in my hands to do it though (in my dreams). 26,000 feet is my record so far.
I saw this video of a girl in a pool talking about how you can't go off your "path" or change the future because whatever options or decisions "choose" to make, were already going to happen no matter what. Even if you change your mind, the universe already knew you were going to, so you're just stuck on the path forever. I lowkey believe it too because I feel like life is like a movie; you don't know what's going to happen but it happens anyway and no matter what happens, the end will always be the same. That's why I believe it really does make sense that we are in a simulation but I could just sound completely crazy lmaoo.
FATE I always said the same . Whether i decide to scratch my nose or start thinking about the free will argument and decide NOT to scratch my nose doesn't matter one bit. I did what i did and that action was always written. George Washington was ALWAYS going to chop down that Cherry tree...Maybe he didn't know it at the time but I know that he would do it. FATE....free will is a myth
Types of people who believe we're in a computer simulation: 1. The super wealthy and spoiled = Having the best of everything has you believing it's too good to be real or that you've created this simulation for yourself. 2. People trying to justify their past, present and future evil actions = Being programmed to do specific actions then there's no free will and your evil actions are not your fault. 3. Computer Programmers = Spending your life as a computer programmer provides great money matching #1, but can also have you associating life as a simulation since that's what your work provides for most of your life. 4. The lazy and the quitters = When someone gives up trying to be successful they seek excuses... any excuses as long as they can avoid taking responsibility for failure in life.
That makes me crazy trying to understand how the universe never ends... it just cant be possible that there is infinite room for the universe to occupy

If I remember, it was only done because they played around with the speed in which one can move through the game so they could show how far it was and what was there when you got there. The double slit experiment reminds me of a situation where animals in the wild were exposed to a mirror. When they observed their reflections some became confused as they did not understand that they were looking at themselves, even though they could control the reflective image through their own behavior. Perhaps the "Observer Effect" is like that. We can control the outcome of the double split experiment through our own behavior, but we're confused because we don't understand how we can be the mechanism that creates it. Some of the animals in the wild never understood that they were looking at themselves, but some did. I'm pretty sure that they didn't understand how the mirror worked, but they did recognize their own image. I think that's where we are. We recognize and accept that the Observer Effect is real, but we just don't understand in this case it's more than a mere reflection of some sort. Observation can actually collapse energy into matter.
I get what you are saying. But, one of the principles of quantum theory, as I understand it, is that merely observing an object is a form of interaction, and that simplest form of interaction changes the state of that object from what it was before we observed it. I think that also invokes quantum intanglement as well.
The problem with that entire hypothesis is you don’t need consciousness to be an observer. A simple camera turned on or off with a script automatically will trigger the flip.
@@annal2740 while I can’t say for certain because no one knows, I would say no, that’s not the reason. It has to do with the measuring device collapsing the wavefunction at the moment it is measured. This video is phenomenal, truly. I remember a few times my reality being distorted. Seeing something missing only to return shortly and see it was back there again. I once saw a cracked glass door, only to find it repaired a little later. Very strange stuff, especially with the double slit experiment. When I was still a child, 6, 7, maybe 8... I was wondering if my room, my toys, the house I was living in... was still existing while I was away. I was wondering if the food in the fridge was still existing when the door was shut. I remember being yelled at to stop opening the so many times and as fast as I could to look at the inside of the fridge... 😅
I had the same thoughts as a child. I wondered if the world I saw actually existed or if it only existed in my mind. I’ve always wondered if I was cray cray for thinking that or if I was closer to reality than others. I still don’t know the answer to that!
At the age of 10 i remember feeling that everything outside of my own home was fake. That people only moved when i viewed them. I often hid behind things and jump out, hoping i would catch them being stationary. All very fascinating.

Being in a simulation does not downgrade the meaning of your life, if this is what our reality is then it is better to just live in it. The decisions you make right now still matter, and you can still experience happiness and enjoyment as it is.
Facts. Agree 100%. Does it matter if we knew it was a simulation or not? All we know is this world, so if it's a simulation, it's still all we know, and what we do still has real consequences in this world, so it doesn't change anything from a day-day perspective.
@@djjazzyjeff1232 tbh i don’t believe we live in a simulation, that’s why I’m saying this. Even if we knew it was a simulation, we wouldn’t be able to escape it.
Love that you brought up the "what's the difference" point. Everyone I've seen talk about the simulation theory seems to completely miss the idea that a "simulation" is the same as a "creation" depending on who designed it
I teach the universe, my friend (and can teach it to any preacher, New Ager, or even psychic).. and you are completely CORRECT. Simulation is just a word. Your half-soul interacts with immutable laws created by an infinite entity of infinite intelligence who is the actual parent of your soul. (NOTE: your biological parents created only your material and spirit vessels ). You have free-will unlike instinctual animals who only have a spirit-body. From your desires, actions, and thoughts events are generated in the creation or simulation in an attempt to teach your soul about LOVE & TRUTH. All the smart people posting comments to this video and most pretty much know nothing about TRUTH regardless of their native intelligence or supreme education level .. as they were NOT taught a few key premises of the existence by the parents during their youth.. who didn't know these truths themselves. You don't know what you don't know. But once you truly know.. it's a no-brainer being quite straightforward and logical. One teaching example: Love cannot exist in chaos. And LOVE & TRUTH are two sides of the same coin. Only in a predictable consistent environment can truth be learned.. and in that actual truth, love can then be found & greater understood. And remember, CORRECTION is loving. Many issues deeply debated as philosophical or moral issues are a completely known topic to spirit beings (discarnates in spirit-body) of certain development. Abortion would be one great example. Humans theorize and debate from guessed perspectives, but once you know when and what happens to a fetus and its associated animating force.. you then understand when and what happens (in next-life) to both that spirit-body and those who knowingly had abortions. It's not a debate, just a cold hard fact of the universe. This is a non-religious and non-political comment from a polymath who has never voted or gone to Church. Peace.
@@JB.885 it's known that it takes a while after a human is born for it to develop consciousness/subconsciousness/spirit, so the aborted baby is mixed with a global elitists scrambled egg breakfast.
@@investigativeoutcomes9343 Sorry Friend. I literally learn from the highest beings in the universe. The level of detail I can (or have) provided.. is so much more extensive than all other views it is stunning. I mean.. I literally share at times truths virtually verbatim from thousand year old beings who are tens if not hundreds of times more powerful than the Buddha.. and then you respond as a 30-50 year old soul (who doesn't even know who or what you are)as if you know anything about anything. The extent of lack of awareness of the average spiritualist or metaphysical "seeker" on Earth is mind-numbing. Again, the gurus and spiritualists and teachers you may respect on this planet typically know VERY LITTLE. They, due to the LAW OF COMMUNICATIONS & RAPPORT.. generally interact with natural_love spirits Earthbound, 1st sphere, or 2nd sphere.. and they don't know this.. nor do the spirits they interact with know they are NATURAL LOVE spirits. @@djseanoduill I will elaborate… One example would be you, John. The masses understand the world has shifted from a common sense based society to an idiotic based society. Those who lack critical thinking cannot see this shift. Those who do posses critical thinking, question how this idiotic reality is even possible. Asking me to elaborate on my comment places you in the non critical thinking category. (I am sorry if this reality offends you. Fortunately you likely won’t question it since you haven’t questioned the past 3 years.)
The laws of the universe revolve around the LOVE & TRUTH condition of your soul which exists in a higher dimension (they also do the same when you are in spirit body (sleep and afterlife) - LOA (the law of attraction) creates physical actions and influences (also hidden ones) to create events and angry or happy or attractive people into your life, accidents, synchronicities etc. Aren't you familiar with "cloud bursting"? which anyone can do. The universe literally interacts with your consciousness all the time and it is NATURAL..not supernatural once you understand it's just a fact.
So many smart people for me lol not sure how I got here, yet here I am. Its just a knowing I have. I have had some out this world experiences, yet its apart of this world. If i try explain, it will not make sense to someone else, and I never expect it to make sense. I understand the confusion. The confusion blinds me from the "real" world. So when my inner reality meets the outside reality, my confusion is turned to a knowing, and the knowing comes into reality, its a cluster of patterns. That nobody can see but me. I'm sure they see their own patterns, unless they are like me when I am in confusion, I just Don't see. Yet the world was trying show me. My gut is connected to this earth or something

Next morning I ran to the book and everything was normal. My mother has no recollection of this incident and it wasn't a dream. Probably wasn't really her but someone that would ease my mind. The Brain pushes out useless info and i remember like it was yesterday 32 years later. Just wanted to share with everyone in case you ever kept things to yourself because of what people may think.
I've noticed things similar to this before...one time I was talking to myself in my basement and no one else was home. A week later, I was speaking with someone and they repeated a phrase I had used. Recently, I was working and listening to a video at the same time; the word "Shanghai" came up both in the video and on my unrelated project simultaneously. Occasionally I'll see a car pass by and when I look in the mirror, it's gone but there was nowhere for it to turn off. I notice these patterns as well as continuity errors happen probably at least about once a month or so. OTOH...the human brain is great at looking for patterns where none exist. It's difficult to come to any definitive conclusions, because it could very well be a case of one's brain simply seeing connections that aren't there.

Wow, this video is extremely thought-provoking. Before seeing this video, I thought the chances of "reality" being a simulation were quite low. But from the information in this video, the chances are actually quite good. But I had a sense that what I experience in life IS a simulation. This information helps to reenforce that sense. This is so totally trippy.
I had a dog who died suddenly and unexpectedly from kidney failure. I was really sad and missed her but moved on as you do but always felt bad I had left her at the vets for tests not knowing she would die there. One night months later I saw her in a dream with light streaming from her, looking wildly happy and telepathically told me my sadness had held her near me but now she was leaving so there was no point to my being sad any more. I could see forests behind her and I really felt that was her wolf spirit that came through. That was 40 years ago and i can still see her glowing in that dream like a laser beam. So strange
Me too my German shepard came in a dream to tell me he had gone home my ex husband and I were living apart and I awoke the next day and asked had Tom died, and he was taken aback and said yes he put him down the day before I knew then this is not it and can't wait to see him again ..also a family friend also came to me looking so beautiful and I said to her your dead ...she shook her head and said no with a smile ..loved those 2 dreams xx
@anncarter5945 that's what my dad said too!! He just smiled at me in my dream and shook his head when I said that to him. He was a complete athiest in life and brought me up without any belief in an afterlife. And my dog said she was going home, and I knew she meant the forest in the background.
Many years ago, I had a dream where I lost my family (not my real one) in a tornado within a blizzard. The dream took place around an old-farmhouse with dirt roads. I was there with them, as we were swept up. I felt the heartbreak of a parent losing their children (I have no kids), the terror, the bite of the frost. I still remember it to this day and I don't think I will ever forget it. It's almost as if it actually happened on some level.
How old are you? I’m 35 ( born in 1987) I joke that I was afraid of tornadoes when I was younger. I grew up on NJ lol but I legit thought about having to go in the basement for a storm. I assume the wizard of oz was the reason lol
Shocking to read your post, but I got a similar memory of a tornado and dirt roads between large corn field, and an old shed or worn down old wooden house. In my version it's very hot and the corn died from drought and I'm walking on the dirt road, while the tornado is ripping up the dried out cornfield. A dark figure that is scary first, but grabs my arms and pulls me inside the wooden shed and tells me to stay here, because it's safer here. The memory ends when I'm just peaking through the wooden boards of the house or shed and seeing everything being destroyed. The dark figure is walking on the dirt road like nothing is going on and the storm doesn't seem to have an effect on him (her?). Also the dark figure has no face, but I feel a sensation that it's a her and she sort of radiates kindness and calmness, despite being scary at first.
Dreams like this are more common than you think, for some reason humans don't remember them very often. I believe those dreams are you connected with a different version of you in an alternate universe. I have had some where it was just a mundane slice of life, however most things and people were different. I have also had some where it was so bizarre that I woke up thinking "what the heck how is that even possible?"
I had Dejavu one time, with my brother and another man that passed us in a Dillard's in Florida. You could tell the guy that walked by was having it as well, from the look on his face. Once we passed, my brother looked at me and said, "Man, that was strange. I just had Dejavu and could tell that guy that walked by was having it too."....well, so was I. And I could tell that guy was also......super strange.
My father came and stood behind me with his hand on my shoulder when he passed. The moment this world said he was no longer, his presence came to say goodbye.
I usually try to be there for the release of each video for the past 2 years but its wild how when I revisit these there’s always super fresh comments. Its amazing how this channel produces positive engagement and it just shows how everyone is curious and full of questions about our reality.
the people you see isnt "everyone" lol, majority of humans dont really care, you live in a bubble, the people in your bubble is not even close to everyone. its a tiny minority
It makes me laugh so hard that certain aspects of our universe act differently when we observe them. I absolutely love how much more ridiculous the universe gets the more we find out.
Hmmmm.... Is it the spoon that bends? Or can we realize there is no spoon it is we who are bending. If reality exists in a dual state, reality doesn't change when we observe it. We're simply witnessing one aspect of that reality.

Can't confirm or deny if we live in a simulation but for the last few years when I walk outside, it really feels like a game lobby that's 99% filled with bots.
I know this feeling. Like something has changed drastically. The sky doesn't look the same as remember growing up. Food looks different, things seem plastic. @@rss5003 not a great example. The yellow light marks a transition, the subsequent action is supposed to depend on context. If you cannot stop safely, pass through. If everyone guns it through, as they did when you were younger, or slams on their brakes, which is clearly not stopping safely, the light is not being interacted with as intended by its designer. Both states of interaction are therefore insane, as they do not comply with objective reality. You believe that only one is insane because you inhabit the world where the other seems appropriate. This is the nature of subjective reality. They seem to occupy a different reality to you because they do. People always have, to varying degrees. Wow man, this video is great. I had speculated that we had lived in a simulation and you have fully convinced me. I have gotten fully into philosophy and you make this so fun. Thank you
I believe there is a higher power that created us. I also believe that we’re here on a journey. This is our tribulations in this world. My younger brother who never spoke about religion started preaching in his teen years. Years later we found out he got cancer. Before he passed away he waited for me to enter the hospice room. When I stepped in the room, he lifted his hands up and he mentioned the word “angel” and then he was gone. He was only 22 back in 2008 when he passed. Prior to his passing at 9:30 pm on a Sunday, he gave my mom a plastic yellow rose. One night while walking in Waikiki beach, a random barefooted man plucked a huge yellow hibiscus flower and gave it to my mom. He said “Mahalo” (thank you) to her. So my brother’s gf at the time was like, “That was an angel!” And we believed it was my brother who was saying thank you to my mother. I mean, the man gave her a flower so my mom was supposed to be the one who thanks him. And then we saw the time. It was 9:30 pm. This is just a journey here on earth. We will all end up in one place one day.
Quote:"We will all end up in one place one day"Unquote. Not quite sure if we will ALL end up in one place one day, but like your brother, the best of us in the best possible place... back home.
AJ, this topic always freaks me out but at the same time it gives me a sense of relief. If none of this is "real" but rather perceived, maybe we don't need to take ourselves and everyone/thing around us so seriously. Ugh. Your videos always make me think. Thank you for putting in the hard work as always. Can't wait for the next one.
@Crystal Denton It doesn't matter if this is a simulation because the simulation has very specific rules e.g., Newtonian laws, states of matter, etc., which bind everything. Reality is an individualized perception of a transient moment and the construction of all recollected moments into schemas which form the skeleton of one's reality. Shared reality is observable logic and objective truth. I tend to disagree with the idea that there is a limit to fulfilment i.e., "taking oneself too seriously" even within a simulation: 1. It's identical to adopting Epicureanism or conceding to one's mortality ; this is akin to saying "We're all going to die anyway, so to heck with it!", and then using this to objectify the greatest happiness principle but for oneself. 2. It's a reductionist approach on morality i.e., if everything isn't real, then the consequences of one's actions are not real; however, even within our perception of this reality - be it an actual reality or some simulation predicated on a higher plane of reality or existence, actions DO have consequences -objectively. This is Newton's Third Law, stripped down to the bare bones without the implication of any moral relativism or moral objectivity attached to it.
Have you ever met someone, a complete stranger. And you could swear that you already met them. Know them. Met someone you like immediately ? Met someone that scares the crap out of you, but you can’t figure out why ? I’m not taking in a prejudice way. Just in an odd way. In my 69 yrs. I have experienced these feelings at times. Enjoyed your posts. ❤😊
Yes! This has happened to me so many times! People I feel like I’ve met before, we just click right away and feel like we just know each other. And others that for some reason I just want to be near, they give me the creeps even though on the outside they’re very nice and kind.
Once you have accepted we are in a simulation, be it God's vivid imagination or a giant computer, the next question is: are we a product of the simulation or are we creatures from outside the simulation currently playing the game?
This is a VERY good question! I was asking myself the same thing, what if we are the avatars that gain experience on this world but we are driven by what we call "our soul", which is completely separated by our ego (conscious mind). And knowing already that the decisions we are taking are not born in our conscious mind, this would make sense.
@@HANKHILLFORTXGOVERNOR More likely the real you is in a giant room, lying on a bed, with thousands of other people, wearing a headset; metaphorically speaking.
Deja vu always fascinates me because I used to have epileptic seizures as a kid and deja vu was the trigger for me. If I was sat or stood still, I would have a seizure. But if I was on the move, I could do something different and stop myself from having a seizure. I grew out of it when I was 16 though
I have epilepsy and 3 days before my seizures I get very weird feeling like someone else is in the room and see shadow, scared the crap out of my until I was told that it’s a warning of a seizure
Deja vu fascinates me too because I experience clairvoyant dreams. Things I dream will come true (specific to my life though) and this phenomena was so incredible to me, I started keeping a dream journal and practicing lucid dreaming to figure out more. I started to notice deja vu a lot more, at least once or twice a day, and I could relate it to dreams I've had. I would tell people about my dreams and journal them so if I do experience deja vu or that something I dreamt came true, I could for sure reference that I did in fact dream it. Furthermore, my intuition was growingly powerful in other ways, for instance, someone's name would flash in my head, someone I haven't thought about or seen in years. Within the next few seconds, I would get a call or text from them, or I would randomly turn my head and see them walk into a store, as I drove past them. I was increasingly sensitive to other people's energy, I could feel what they felt or just read a room or place that I walked into. Synchronicity was all over the place, so many absurd "coincidences" over and over that didn't make sense. This was my spiritual awakening, I believe this was when I started to ascend my spirit, and experience higher forms of consciousness, and in turn, a closer connection to a higher power, God, whatever you wish to call it. At that time in my life I was trying to build this closeness with God and mend my spirit (I went through some unpleasant things growing up, and I hated myself). So I turned to God and spirituality. I prayed and meditated a lot, and what really did the trick was experimenting with p s y c h e d e l i c d r u g s. For the record I'm not glorifying them or advocating their use, they are extremely powerful and not for the faint of mind and soul. After experimenting with them, this is when I noticed these lasting effects, or abilities, for lack of better term. This is when I began to experience, or at the very least, notice these seemingly mystical experiences. That is the honest to God truth, L S D, m u s h r o o m s, D M T, etc. made me a clairvoyant, albeit mostly through my dreams, but clairvoyant nonetheless. This still boggles my mind, and to this day I am still fascinated with dreams and personally believe that there's more to dreams and there's more to this world than we can perceive, at least in a sober state of mind. I do believe in consciousness, energy, manifestation, etc. I do believe in interconnectedness, that part of us are God and everything around us is also God, the soil, the trees, water, and this seemingly divine or mystical energy is God. This is just my opinion. Perhaps God is also an entity or entities, I'm not sure, but fascinating evidence from D M T trips also imply intelligent, divine, benevolent (and sometimes malevolent) entities are out there. I don't think we will ever know anything for sure, until we die. There could be a God and spirit world, or there maybe isn't one. Based on what I've experienced, I cannot deduce that we are just sacks of water and meat and we will permanently seize to exist after death. I think consciousness is forever flowing. Chalk it up to an alerted state of mind, but these trips I've had absolutely blew my mind. It wasn't just during a trip, but after too whilst sober. I remember one trip where I was praying and meditating, and I started bawling tears of joy at the presence in the room I felt. I was alone in my garage late at night, and I distinctly remember feeling this energy fill the room, as if there was something divine all sitting at the table with me. Maybe I was just loaded, but it was incredible to experience. Even the things I've experienced for years after in a sober state of mind, just too much to type as this comment is already too long. I've dreamt of people dying before they did, I've dreamt of conversations and get togethers with the exact people saying the exact things they would later say. I've dreamt of women before I've dated them, just many things. I have a very open mind and enjoy thinking outside the box just for the hell of it, since reality is a hell of a thing. I have a hard time believing that we live in a simulation though. It's certainly possible, as anything is, but there I believe there is something deep and profound about the spirit. The ancients speak a lot of interesting things about the spirit and genesis as well. I don't expect anyone to read all of this lmao, it's very long, but thanks if you stuck around TLDR; I don't think we live in a simulation and deja vu is directly connected to my dreams
I've had these random "deja vuish" moments all my life where I'll be doing something and I'll be thinking to myself "is this real?" "Am I really here right now?" while literally in the middle of an action or activity I'm doing. It's a weird feeling but it's reoccurring.
I had a dream onectime thst I was sitting in a large courtyard near work in LA and suddenly I heard people screaming, running towards me. So I looked to see what was scaring them and the sky was folding up like a piece of paper, like a rough draft. And nothing was behind it, just a black sky.
This is fast becoming my favourite channel on TH-cam. keep up the good work! all your content is well researched and well read, and of course who doesn’t love a bit of hecklefish!
Yess! And have you noticed there’s a whole back story there too. Like consciousness spreads over time. In my dreams things are familiar. I’m not sure if it was an actual dream I had about the place or person but I feel like I’ve known it for awhile. It makes me wonder does everything have a tendency to project backwards. (Just like we have history here) I say this because the only moment that’s actually real is now. The past is no longer real but memories and the future didn’t and might not happen.
First time seeing it watching your channel, AJ, and team. Very interesting, informative, and thought-provoking topic and video. I have Deja Vu often and more often as time goes by…and it is unsettling, worrisome, and awesome all at the same time. I guess we will all know the truth-OR NOT-on the other side of this existence. ✌🏼
So does this explain these synchronicities I constantly experience? I can be in the middle of saying a word, and then whatever I'm watching, it says the same word on the television. Or whatever I just finished talking about, the subject or word pops up in a movie or show I'm watching...and this is continuous, not just sometimes.
The entire segment on interference pattern has officially fried my brain. Once observed, particles reverse course through time and simply choose the proper pattern for the situation. Completely mind-blowing.
Now go and look how holograms work. And apply it to this. Holograms are nothing but 3d projections of an objects original form. Which are waves! It’s literally taking a picture of you in your original state which is wave form and projecting it into 3d. Our reality is a computer simulated holographic Projection. Fact.
Eh that’s not how I see it. It’s more like, everything has a probability of happening. But the exact result is not needed until we choose to measure it. Think about a video game loot box. It’s not until you open it that it runs the RNG algorithm to determine the loot. I agree that it’s proof of simulation. Like objects off-screen don’t render right? Life as we know it is an amazingly efficient simulation where things are only “loaded” when you interact with it
This phenomenon was described in the movie, "what the bleep? Down the rabbit hole!" Excellent film, I highly recommend it... It describes quantum physics in ways that anyone can understand, and it frames the concepts and theories within an actual story plot. Totally mind-blowing!
@@AgnesMariaL Enjoyed that movie when it came out years ago, but just a heads up there is some stuff in there that's bogus science. Plenty of great stuff in there though.

@@TheWhyFiles @The Why Files 🤔🧐🤨 but what nobody ever thinks about is the fact that what the smartest person in the world maybe has a 200 IQ and this is all we understand is simulations and ones and zeros and computers and to humans we don't know anything outside of time and space so we can't understand eternity to eternity we can't wrap our mind around that because our minds are too small. that's the problem right there is we're not smart enough to understand from eternity to eternity or what happened before it hurts our brain to think therefore we search for reasons and answers and if it doesn't fit within our 150 IQ or 200 IQ or 100 IQ we have to reject it. humans aren't capable of thinking outside of the box and aren't capable of understanding spiritual things because we're in physical shells. it's a very simple answer actually but nobody wants to accept this. humans need more than this answer and they will never get more than this answer until they shed these shells and enter eternity. even if we don't think we're arrogant or that we have big egos I assure you we do. these physical shells/bodies and this world just maybe some sort of simulation as I believe it is and have for a while so to speak. but who what and why created it? I believe it's a very important simulation and what we do here does matter and it's a testing grounds. no different than if you wanted to be top Gun you're going to get in that simulation and you're going to have to beat it and it matters because if you don't you fail and you only get one chance. but about the simulation we're living in what if we fail it? I believe we decide by what we do as to where were gonna spend eternity. 🧐 are you going to spend it with the creator of all things or in a separated void from him? that's the real question my friend that you should be asking yourself. Not whether it's a simulation, because it's obviously is... where will you choose to go after the game is over? it's your free will choice... PS. I want to correct myself about something above. very soon millions will disappear off our Earth and alien / UFOs will appear. the same annunaki / nephilim that the Bible spoke about in the beginning and they will deceive the Nations. there's a great deception going on right now, don't fall for it. fair warning my friend... and thanks for all the awesome videos literally I'm quite the critic and I would have to say after discovering your channel I've watched pretty much every video on here and I don't know if I've done that before except for a couple channels where they had near death experiences or auto body experiences. the reason I was so much into those channels is because when I left my physical body before I realized the spirit world was reality and this physical body is the illusion. unfortunately unless it happens to you there's no way for you to comprehend or understand or to see or believe what I see so it's just my story. I can assure you that Jesus Christ is very real and he loves you very much and he did die for you and you do have free will and you do have a choice and I hope you make the right choice because you're right about all this, it is a simulation. but the spirit world and eternity is not. best wishes my friend 😇✝️🙏❤️

I’m 59 and when I was 22 yrs old I had a strange experience. It was definitely dejavu. It lasted maybe 30 seconds, but I knew what was going to happen next. I knew if someone was going to talk and what they would say. I desperately tried to break this connection. I felt dizzy and slept for hours after having this (I call) episode. I joked years later after having several of these “episodes” I was skipping solar systems. Every time I would get that feeling, I would tell who I was around “I’m having another one!” I’d tell people to shut up, hoping it wouldn’t last long and if they didn’t speak it would stop. I went to 3 neurologists and had 2 MRI and a CT scan. They were sure this was partial complex seizure’s but never found the proof. I’d like to add that after having an episode my life would change course dramatically. Coincidence? 😳
same I experienced deja vu one time when I remembered winning the lottery. I bought the same ticket with the numbers I remembered and won the lottery the next day. I am now $20 million dollars richer.
Yes, it is called deja vu. Everything you described is a normal thing everyone experiences, except of the idea that it means you are travelling through solar systems or getting a panic attack because of it.

15:30 regarding the double slit experiment, I watched a video of Neil Degrasse Tyson saying that Einstein stated at the speed of light, time stops. Because photons travel at the speed of light, they are “born” and arrive at their destination at the same moment from the perspective of the photon. Maybe this could explain why they are able to change their waveform upon observation, seeming like they are traveling back in time when coming from extremely far distances.
I don’t think I have ever see the double slit experiment and quantum entanglement explained so well and in such an appropriate context. Thank you. This is what TH-cam is for.
Every time I take abt the double slit no one knows what it is and I’m not a scientist so regurgitating it? I sound nuts. But it’s shocking how many ppl dk abt it. It’s so cool I wished I had ppl to talk abt it with.
When I was a young kid I used to believe that if I moved around the corner real fast I would see people not moving and then they would start up when I observed them. I actually do believe we are living in a simulation of some kind, I also believe “Thoughts are energy that manifest reality”.

I oddly predicted two random songs played as "music by this artist" on Apple Music. and after the first few songs, I'd think of one and solidify it in my head. It would happen. I said a more obscure song in my head, and once again, it played again. Coincidences? 50/50 I'd say
I thought that things only existed in my field of view. When you turn a corner or walk into a room it instantly manifest itself? A interesting thing for a young child to think? I've always thought life was holographic and we are complex avatars.

I grew up with my mom having all of the James Bond movies on VHF. Everytime a new one came out we watched it in the theater. I watched every single Roger Moore James Bond over and over. I saw Moonraker many many times. The girl DID have braces. It was literally the entire purpose of that scene. The villain jaws was on other James Bond movies with him having those metal teeth. That girl was the writers giving jaws a way to convert from bad guy to good guy where he and the girl help James Bond escape from the space station. That scene was specifically setup for jaws and the girl to make a love connection by both of them showing they both had metal on their teeth. Why else would the director of the movie show Jaws and the girl slowly and deliberately smiling to each other showing each other their teeth?
Sorry, but she never had braces. I saw Moonraker at the cinema on its initial release, on television, on VHS... and she never had braces. The Mandela Effect is a powerful feeling, but it's just faulty memories.

There is something else after we leave this life. My father, moments before he passed, looked upwards, reached towards something and said, "it's so beautiful" I guess the only way we will know is on that day we pass on
My grandfather told my grandmother that he knew she couldn't see what he was seeing, and there were just no words to describe it, but it sure was beautiful. Those were his last words.
Pretty wild theory! But in a weird way very reasonable. I am a math major and a theology major, these two don’t conflict for me. It takes faith to believe that the world we see and experience is for our own good. I’m watching this video for fear I missed something important!
Part of the challenge of explaining that experiment is it that the results are so outlandishly irrational that one tends to simply assume they're misunderstanding it. It feels a bit like having the weatherman tell you that umbrellas make it rain.
I do not agree with that quote. I mean, how is it possible to explain relativity theory in a simple manner? It is too complicated to be explained in few words.
Simple means easy to understand, plain, ordinary, and uncomplicated. However, simplistic means overly simplified, often in a way that misleads. Take from it what you will... "1 Corinthians 2: 4-5" "1 Corinthians 14: 7-11" Simple is neutral and has a positive connotation, whereas simplistic is negatively charged.

actually nonsense because NPC`s dont have concience / soul. The world is a simulation but not one that is created by a higher beeing. The universe is waves and the human brain is interpretation the waves to simulate a reality to be able to navigate through these waves. The most easy example is soundwaves. If a tree falls in the desert and nothing can listen to the soundwaves there will be no sound. Only soundwaves.
I’ve had a lot of strange deja-vu experiences & some dreams that I swear feel like an alternate version of myself complete with a new set of friends & life, then I wake up & sometimes can’t tell which reality I’m in. I even recall little details, like when I’m “dreaming” I look at a clock & it reads 5PM, then I’ll wake up a few moments later to see it’s actually 4 hours ahead, but then I’ll fall back asleep, I look at a clock again & it reads 5:30pm. Fucking weird. And I know I’m not the only one that’s felt this.
I can totally relate. Then in the future the past dreams sometimes play out in reality. Then I remembered having a dream like it in the past and I could predict what would happen next. Then it freaks me out and I find something to take my thoughts off of it.
Same thing here with dreams and maybe being an alternate version! In most normal dreams, you dream about people you know and they're just regular weird dreams that don't have a lot of meaning. But there's a lot of dreams I've had where I'm dreaming about people I've never seen in my entire life and I legitimately feel a connection to them just as strong as I feel about the "real" people in my life. And this includes, very rarely, feelings of profound and strong love. That doesn't happen a lot, but when it does, it's so incredibly strong I actually, genuinely MISS that person for a few days until I can shake the feeling away. It's the pit in your stomach feeling when you've broken up with someone you've loved. Sometimes this happens not just with people I've never seen, but also people I've seen on say, YT videos and the like. And it's much different than just having a cool naughty dream about a celebrity or something.. the feelings are genuine and hard to shake, and like I said, sometimes I'll actually feel sad about "losing" them.. like I had a whole life or a long period of time with that person. (And no, I'm not crazy and don't actually tell the people who are people I've seen on YT or something and could actually contact if I wanted to, unlike celebrities, that this has happened because that would just be so wrong and weird, lol) It's literally THE most bizarre thing that has ever happened in my whole life, very hard to explain and it might sound crazy, but it's 100% truth. I've absolutely contemplated that maybe in some of my dreams, I'm seeing parts of an alternate universe. 🤷🏻♀ And in the cases where it's someone I've actually seen rather than people I haven't, maybe seeing their face somehow allows my brain to find that one shared universe in dream form?
@@LadyBeyondTheWall I can relate to this. Sometimes Dreams are just plain and not worth a second thought, but I have had some that stick with me for years. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
@@DIYNauticalDream Thanks for not saying I'm crazy! :) Glad you can relate. It's the first time I've ever actually told anyone about it because, well, it can sound nuts if you've never experienced it probably.

When I was in middle school I ran into my great aunt Bess in the hallway of my school. I immediately stopped talking to my friends, ran over to her and excitedly greeted her. She stood there just bewildered bc it was not her, but I was so sure I could have debated it and asked for her identification, but I didn't. I was completely deflated and embarrassed. Also, I swear I willed my husband into existence. My favorite movie growing up was The Labyrinth with David Bowie. I watched it until the vhs wouldn't work. Some 20 years later I truly believed i was deserving of the love and kind of man I had in my heart and I'll be damned my now husband isn't a David, with red hair and a had a dog named Toby. It might sound silly, but it's the darnedest thing.
When I was about 10 I saw the movie Robinson Crusoe with a Mexican actor, it was in Spanish. I didn’t know Spanish, but I was fascinated with the man and found him attractive, like a child would, not being creepy. Twenty years later I actually met him and had dinner with him and his family and I felt a connection, him too, but we didn’t act on it. I was married too. But what are the odds that we got to meet! He lived thousands of miles away!
I have waited all my 73 years for someone to explain to me the odd occurrences in my life, and now thanks to AJ and Hecklefish I am beginning to see the light. Thank you two!

@Andrew Smythe When I was younger I experienced Deja Vu quite often and I began to concentrate on predicting what would happen at the end of the experience while it was going on and found I really could do it. I began to try and accelerate my thinking process something like stepping on the gas pedal of a car which enabled me to make a rough contact with something or someone I couldn't see. Unfortunately when I told my wife she made me promise to stop because she was getting visitations in her sleep that really disturbed her and thought I might be causing it. Unfortunately or maybe fortunately as aged I lost the ability, I guess your brain must slows down, but I can tell you this, there is a force that exists that we don't understand and I guess that is for a good reason.
Found the Why Files about 8 months ago. I didnt know what amazing episodes i had missed. This was surely one of them. Excellent work AJ, this was pure mind blowing. AJ, I think your monologue towards the end is one of the most immensely profound things ever spoken. From why UAP's not adhering to what we know of physics (why should they if they're from outside of our reality) to science and faith being compatible. Great video, great work 👍
I am a software engineer and a gamer. Somethings I have noted (some mentioned in the video) and I want to mention them here. Firstly, we have already created simulations, video games. Now while these worlds are small in scale, it doesnt mean devs haven't placed stuff like stars in the skies of those games. As mentioned render distance is a thing. Bow the way mmos for example work is that the things I am seeing and rendering is not what another player is rendering 10 meters from me because they are seeing 10 meters further than I am and I of them. The games are able to run just fine cause its not rendering what everyone else is seeing. Video games also have limitations. A 32 bit system can only go to a 32 bit. Have you ever tried uncapping speed and going as fast as possible. The game literally breaks. Mario kart for example, collision just stops working entirely. We have a speed cap at the speed of light, likely whatever program is running us cant handle speed past that. Not to mention there is probably an invisible wall that would block us from leaving. Maybe Voyager 1 can find that one for us. Or just like the crew, there is no wall until you get to the end of the universe. But again render distance. Now as a software engineer and especially one observing AI i have noticed, we and them are virtually no different, minus the connections to each other and one being made of parts while the other is flesh. At some point in college, I noticed i seem to have hit a memory cap. My mind started to forget mundane things of the past or short term things like names. I wondered why till i remember we take in A LOT of data and store a lot of it. We have to have a data cap in a simulation right. Right. I dont know how many here watch anime, but Sword art online delves very deeply into the lines of Virtual and real. The last season I watched, they created a world that wasnt much different from our own. The NPCs were human, they functioned more like how we do, with small differences. Due the smaller scale of the AI they had more limitations but they could actually break said limits if they tried. This season also mentioned (or the previous i cant remember) the two major games before this one were created by AI. The AI would bring the world up, support it and then eventually tear it all down. The big bang was a computer system bringing us up. The gods the NPCs referenced were just the game devs. Our god, is likely the human behind the computer that maintains our world. I know most anime fans dislike Sword art online but that major part of its whole plot is why I liked it. Its what really made me realize we are in a simulation. The more I see AI evolve, and the closer we get to Full dive virtual reality, the more the pieces come together. At some point, we will make our own simulation and another dive in the universe tree. And at that point, people will realize we are indeed in a simulation. P.s: I am under the firm belief that science and religions are both correct. The world was created, but also left to its will to evolve. The computer maintains the rules and the world. We just build on it. The game dev is our god and he may have plans for us, but who knows.
The night when my father passed away, my 3 siblings and I all collectively had a dream that we were in our father's car and he was driving us into the sunset. That was 11 years ago, and I can still see it in detail.
The night before my father passed he came to both me and my uncle in the same exact dream..he told us he was going on vacation..had only i had the dream i could write it off as just a dream but not so as my uncle had the same exact dream
Spot on. Not picking a side yet, But thinking of mars being a low polygon set of pixels until an observer comes close like in a game engine is very unlikely in my view. Again with te double slit experiment: they had to program in the behavior should also be altered with an observer without a conscious. Did they test it with none live observed footage of the phenomenon? Now I'm just thinking out loud. Cheers!
its dumb to think its a simulation ill repeat what i have said in every comment to think we live in a simulation is to admit you dont actually care about anyone because they are 1s and 0s and can be reproduced this means no one is uniqe the code could be mimiced meaning your wife and children are not special to you/anyone else and can be reproduced to be exactly the same. People who push this idea clearly know little about code or what a simulation means behind the scenes lolol
@@PauldeVries To use Elon Musk and NDT as anyone even remotely inteligent enough to talk on this topic already shows how oblivious most people who believe these theories are. Good way to distract the masses tho.
Given that humanity exists there must be at least one civilization. We are currently on the track to making simulations so good they can appear real (at least for some time). So we know civilizations make computers used to simulate scenarios. Now it is a numbers game. If a single civilization of intelligent beings creates more intelligent beings than it contains then we/you likely live in a simulation (given you are an intelligent being). In a way, we all live in "base reality", even if we only live inside a computer. There is probably a better way to figure this out but the only things you really know for certain is that you exist, at least one other intelligent being exists (simulation or base reality has other intelligent beings provided this is not all just your own dream of some kind), and there is a base reality. So if the total number of simulated intelligences that know they exists (in a situation similar to ours) is greater than non simulated intelligences that know they exist then you are more likely to live in a simulation. If we create a computer that can simulate one intelligent being, and computers continue to progress, then it would not be long before we are simulating 10, 100, and so on. If computers then start improving on and building other computers in mass that number could explode well past 10 billion relatively fast. Given the rate of technological process and the millions of years this has to happen I do not think it is far fetched.
you must....you are a duracell battery....yes you provide energie for yourself and for the "rest"..........as in the bible there is asked for 1-10 of your doing/money....what about the other 9-10

Something like that

What’s your name and the title of your thesis
"How does a particle *know* it is being observed through time? It can't, *unless the program tells it too." This part concerns me when you say you have a doctorate in Physics, because if you do then you're intentionally misrepresenting what the field of Physics has to say about the Observer Effect.
"Of course the introduction of the observer must not be misunderstood to imply that some kind of subjective features are to be brought into the description of nature. The observer has, rather, only the function of registering decisions, i.e., processes in space and time, and it does not matter whether the observer is an apparatus or a human being; but the registration, i.e., the transition from the "possible" to the "actual," is absolutely necessary here and cannot be omitted from the interpretation of quantum theory." - Werner Heisenberg (surely you'd be familiar)
"Was the wave function waiting to jump for thousands of millions of years until a single-celled living creature appeared? Or did it have to wait a little longer for some highly qualified measurer - with a PhD?" -John Stewart Bell
The measured state is not interfering with the states excluded by the measurement. Richard Feynman phrased it as follows, "Nature does not know what you are looking at, and she behaves the way she is going to behave whether you bother to take down the data or not."
Simulation hypotheses are not so different from Solipsism; mental masturbation.

Well the next day I went to church with my dad, and that same person was on stage as a visiting pastor, basically trying out for the open pastor vacancy. I told my dad he was definitely going to win, I saw it in my dreams (the church had a few different pastors try out in the next few weeks too).

Deja Vu is not when you have a dream and then it happens later on.

Thats the thing, i hope once we pass somone will tell us all about the secrets of our universe
But if someone designed our reality, who designed "base reality?"
Logically, humanity seems the most likely entity running this simulation
there was an episode in Black Mirror that made me have another thought on this.

I often have dreams where I can rewind and redo parts that didn't go like I wanted them to, almost like I am the director of a movie.
Yeah it was me that clipped your wings during your dream last night. That's what you get for trying to fly without permission. 😉

I lowkey believe it too because I feel like life is like a movie; you don't know what's going to happen but it happens anyway and no matter what happens, the end will always be the same.
Wow! Makes sense.
@@HCG Is that because a camera is a proxy observer? ie. the information it records will be relayed to a human observer.
@@annal2740 while I can’t say for certain because no one knows, I would say no, that’s not the reason. It has to do with the measuring device collapsing the wavefunction at the moment it is measured.
Peace.

The fact that the particles know they're being observed is mind blowing
They dont jave to know, mayb we just influence them.
You know, if nothing is "real" til observed, then no planet has any reason to exist without life on it to act as the observer😊
Also...what if it's not the particles wave function that breaks down , but OUR wave function breaks down?

I have had some out this world experiences, yet its apart of this world.
If i try explain, it will not make sense to someone else, and I never expect it to make sense. I understand the confusion. The confusion blinds me from the "real" world. When I was a kid I opened a book and the pages was empty. My mother came from around the corner I told her what was wrong. She told me go to bed, and I did listen. Next morning I ran to the book and everything was normal. My mother has no recollection of this incident and it wasn't a dream. Probably wasn't really her but someone that would ease my mind. I love these events.
I have a whole list of these events from me and my friends.

So strange

Hahahaha tornadoes used to terrify me when I was a kid because of twister
Probably past life recall. Happens a lot during dreamtime.

Hmmmm.... Is it the spoon that bends? Or can we realize there is no spoon it is we who are bending. If reality exists in a dual state, reality doesn't change when we observe it. We're simply witnessing one aspect of that reality.

Thanks for watching, Crystal. Simulation or not, everything is still real. Just real to us.
@@TheWhyFiles If we all start to believe this is a simulation, will the simulation start to break down? I have just SO many questions.

I think we're a 3D image of something from another dimension and are eternal

I don't expect anyone to read all of this lmao, it's very long, but thanks if you stuck around
TLDR; I don't think we live in a simulation and deja vu is directly connected to my dreams
I've had these random "deja vuish" moments all my life where I'll be doing something and I'll be thinking to myself "is this real?" "Am I really here right now?" while literally in the middle of an action or activity I'm doing. It's a weird feeling but it's reoccurring.

humans aren't capable of thinking outside of the box and aren't capable of understanding spiritual things because we're in physical shells. it's a very simple answer actually but nobody wants to accept this. humans need more than this answer and they will never get more than this answer until they shed these shells and enter eternity. even if we don't think we're arrogant or that we have big egos I assure you we do.
these physical shells/bodies and this world just maybe some sort of simulation as I believe it is and have for a while so to speak. but who what and why created it? I believe it's a very important simulation and what we do here does matter and it's a testing grounds. no different than if you wanted to be top Gun you're going to get in that simulation and you're going to have to beat it and it matters because if you don't you fail and you only get one chance.
but about the simulation we're living in what if we fail it? I believe we decide by what we do as to where were gonna spend eternity.

where will you choose to go after the game is over? it's your free will choice...
PS. I want to correct myself about something above. very soon millions will disappear off our Earth and alien / UFOs will appear. the same annunaki / nephilim that the Bible spoke about in the beginning and they will deceive the Nations. there's a great deception going on right now, don't fall for it. fair warning my friend...

I can assure you that Jesus Christ is very real and he loves you very much and he did die for you and you do have free will and you do have a choice and I hope you make the right choice because you're right about all this, it is a simulation. but the spirit world and eternity is not. best wishes my friend 😇✝️🙏❤️

I'm on day 3 of binge watching..lol..I found this channel last yr..watched a few and it fell off the radar..came back up a few days ago..every one of these vids are great!
Yeah when thinking about this stuff, you can start to get that feeling of being "crazy", but maybe that's cuz we are limited to not comprehend anything beyond that point, and end up back to lowering ourselves (as we are instructed) to eat nachos and watch a sports game lol...
@@_baller I think you are right. Maybe the reason it's so hard to believe and we all get that. "This is an Insane impossibility." Thought is because it's what's programmed into the simulation to deter us from realizing we are truly in a simulation.

Damn! I’m addicted. Your channel popped up on my screen one day and I thought, well, I’ll watch this. Now I’m binge viewing. Your presentation and material prep is top notch, amazing, and, well, addicting! Thank you and keep up the great work!

Yes I totally agree! the first one I watched was about Mount Shasta and after that I was hooked!

Great video. I've heard this discussed by some of my SciFi buddies but I never understood it. Your explanations helped but now I have a headache.
I would swear in a court of law she had braces. It was a fun, sweet redemption arc for Jaws
She definitely has / did have braces !
Sorry, but she never had braces. I saw Moonraker at the cinema on its initial release, on television, on VHS... and she never had braces. The Mandela Effect is a powerful feeling, but it's just faulty memories.
@@ste1bro And how do you know your memories haven't changed? Did you write it down right after viewing? Many people described 9/11 shortly after it happened and yet years later they deny what they said/written and say it is slightly or more inaccurate.

Pretty wild theory! But in a weird way very reasonable. I am a math major and a theology major, these two don’t conflict for me. It takes faith to believe that the world we see and experience is for our own good. I’m watching this video for fear I missed something important!
That was the best explanation of the double slit experiment for dummies that I’ve ever heard and that’s a compliment. That video was awesome.
Totally agree. And I’ve watched a lot of depictions of the double slit. This one explained everything much better
What happens if I flick my balls
Part of the challenge of explaining that experiment is it that the results are so outlandishly irrational that one tends to simply assume they're misunderstanding it. It feels a bit like having the weatherman tell you that umbrellas make it rain.
"If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough."
-Albert Einstein
I do not agree with that quote. I mean, how is it possible to explain relativity theory in a simple manner? It is too complicated to be explained in few words.
Simple means easy to understand, plain, ordinary, and uncomplicated. However, simplistic means overly simplified, often in a way that misleads. Take from it what you will...
"1 Corinthians 2: 4-5" "1 Corinthians 14: 7-11"
Simple is neutral and has a positive connotation, whereas simplistic is negatively charged.

actually nonsense because NPC`s dont have concience / soul.

Interesting. I've done the clock thing but I always chalked it up to being too tired and misreading the clock the first time.
(And no, I'm not crazy and don't actually tell the people who are people I've seen on YT or something and could actually contact if I wanted to, unlike celebrities, that this has happened because that would just be so wrong and weird, lol)
It's literally THE most bizarre thing that has ever happened in my whole life, very hard to explain and it might sound crazy, but it's 100% truth.

Ridiculous to use the supposed simulation as evidence to begin with. But we are talking about humanity here.

Alot of what you said just makes sense, it honestly does kinda sound like we are in a simulation. Absolutely amazing episode, one of my favorites for sure. AJ, I think your monologue towards the end is one of the most immensely profound things ever spoken. From why UAP's not adhering to what we know of physics (why should they if they're from outside of our reality) to science and faith being compatible. Great video, great work 👍
Yes. Yes. And yes.
May I ask what your father was like? What did he love doing the most, what kinds of experiences did he treasure?
The night before my father passed he came to both me and my uncle in the same exact dream..he told us he was going on vacation..had only i had the dream i could write it off as just a dream but not so as my uncle had the same exact dream
My mom & sister had a nightmare before my mother passed. They had the nightmare in my mom& dad's house & they wouldn't talk about it
Lies
I’ve also experienced a shared dream after a family member passed
It’s funny how we always relate our existence and reality to where we are with technology.

A.J broke down Simulation Theory in a way even I could get, genius. The philosophical insight at the end way the cherry on top.
There has to be a reality somewhere for a simulation to exist.
Very true. Maybe life one day will be a simulation but we haven’t done it yet
Our reality is real, but it is dependent upon the spiritual world and God for its existence. That's my theory.
Best comment! 👍🙋
