Japan has done a great job at increasing tourism. These things r gonna be visited. They don’t have to tear down old buildings all while bringing income to these communities. Very smart.

To explain the Tiktik a little further, as told by my grandfather the tiktik was a short creature, bat like wings, imaciated skin tightly pulled across a morbid goathuman like body, creating this skin tight black green suit almost that expected of rotting flesh or that of a daemon, a face more monstrous than one can describe with sharp broken and jagged teeth with a jaw that could open to the most sinister of grins. Horns were usually a part of the description but not always, and they had a unique feature that they could split their upper torso from the rest of their body. Their tongues were normally described as being long and thin almost wire like but hollow, it would penetrate the navel while being thin enough to cause very mild discomfort and suck out the unborn fetus, leaving women to discover in the coming mornings that they had lost their child completely in the night. I can explain more of the lore or any other Hawaiian or Philippine related lore upon request, my fingers are tiring now.
Fun fact The Himuro mansion legend was oused for the Game Fatal Frame or better known Sa Projeckt Zero the first Games in the Series in witch you finde out Scouts Thea ritaul and helps finish it
