    Are you working on making renaissance clothing? Do you have questions? Let me know in the comments. Also let me know if you want my next video to be “how to make a chemise without a pattern” or “how to sew velvet”

    Thank you for these amazing videos! I’m really considering getting into sewing so I can start making my own Renaissance clothing, and these videos are tempting me even more!

      @@linwill1720 yes! lol i don’t even remember this comment. I’ve been to 3 ren faires since, all of which at least had 1 piece of clothing that was homemade from thrifted bedsheets or curtains!

      I am glad you like them! I still need to get going on some new ones. Next will be a no pattern chemise!

    For muslin mockups do you sew a full product then separate it to trace for the final pattern?

      I don’t do it fully. Just the one side (the bodice is doublesided) and then after adjustments, take it apart to remake the pattern.

    Thank you so much for the video! I have a couple of questions: when you adjusted the location of the side seam you mentioned that you wanted it to be under the armscye, but I’m a little unclear as to how to find that when you have the mock up on. Also can you sew the mock up with a long basting stitch at the side with your desired seam allowance as opposed to pinning, and them take out the basting stitch once you made your adjustments?

      Yes, basting the seams worked really well. For me, finding the right place for the side seam means using my underarm and then the side seam of my pants, then seeing how the side seam of the mock up aligns

    I can’t seem to get rid of the arm gaping.. front and back.. do you have any tips for this??

    • @PeldynMakes
      @PeldynMakes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You might need someone to help pin. You can also try it make the armscye a tiny bit smaller and then make a small dart. If you are bigger busted, the gap is a challenge.
