Mark Hammill is the best story teller of all time to me. He has never gave a speech in front of people that I have found boring. The way he gives you background information while keeping the story interesting baffles me. Love this dude.
Every time I watch something where Mark talks about the OT (and specifically the original Star Wars), I can feel his love, excitement and gratitude for the movies. He’s a fan of it, just like the rest of us. That makes me even angrier at The Last Jedi for what it did to Luke (and to an extent Mark). In interviews about the OT, Mark is full of life, but in interviews for The Last Jedi, he looks depressed. Thank you, Mark Hamill, for playing my (and many others )childhood hero, and for the countless good memories I have of watching Star Wars. You deserved better than The Last Jedi.
Mark's reaction to hearing John Williams' amazing score for the first time is exactly how I felt as a ten year old kid sitting in that darkened theater in May of 1977. Blew. My. Mind. It just grabs you and pulls you right in from the very beginning. Wow! And the final shot with the closing iris as the titles start to scroll and John's amazing music again, I could not even get out of my seat. I was just floored.* And, kids of today: We had NO INTERNET and had to wait THREE YEARS for the next one! No rumors, no gossip, nothing! And Empire ended up being the best of the ENTIRE series. Imagine having to wait _ANOTHER THREE YEARS_ to get the "conclusion" after that cliff hanger ending! So worth it, though. [*] Interesting story about the premiere of A New Hope in Japan, with many of the producers in the audience. When the movie was over and the credits started to scroll, there was absolute silence as the audience filed out of the theater. The producers thought, "Oh no! They hated it!". Turns out that silence is the ultimate sign of respect.
Don't forget Herbert W. Spencer, who orchestrated Williams's music. Were it not for him, we wouldn't have had the grand sound that we got from Star Wars.
Mark hamill John Boyega and Samuel l Jackson seem like the only actors that actually loved being in starwars all the actors especially Harrison Ford just seemed to hate being in it
Ford only dislikes Han Solo, he wanted him dead in Empire because he felt like the character had overstayed his welcome. He doesn't actually dislike the franchise, he just doesn't want to play Han Solo.

I agree Luke has been a hero to me since I can remember and what I saw in the Last Jedi made me sick to my stomach.
