At first the people weren't too happy about the camera but I think they warmed to the idea.
With no plan in place I hit the local market, get a fresh trim and try some local food. WHAT A PLACE!

Some notes on the video: First, Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine, not Ramallah.. Second, the voice of the Qur’an that you heard is not music, but rather a recitation from the Book of God - the Qur’an.. Third, video shooting is allowed within some restrictions. For example, not photographing women in particular and trying to make photography public, and also you came to the popular neighborhood in Ramallah and did not go to the tourist and model neighborhoods......Finally.. Greetings to you and the Scottish Celtic Club from Ramallah in Palestine.

1st. I stated on the video that Palestinians call Jerusalem the capital of Palestine
2nd. I’m now aware it wasn’t music but thanks again for pointing this out.
3rd. Having spoke to the people, I do understand why they were a little apprehensive about the camera and I totally understand.

Ramallah is the capital of the PA buddy, like it or not
Some notes on your blah blah blah comment. Jerusalem is not the capital of Palestine. It never was and never will be. It’s not even mentioned in the Quran. Not once. I suggest you read it again. Nor is the Arabic name Al-Quds.
Jerusalem is the Capital of Palestine but not the one you’re thinking.
Palestine is Judea and Samaria the geographical area south of Syria that includes Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Israel.
This means that Israel should have more territory then the British Mandate give them.
The Romans named it Syria Palestina after destroying the Second Temple around 800 years before Islam and around 2.200 years after the Israelites arrived in Canaan.
Palestine means the Land of the Philistines the descendants of the Peleset that arrived from Crete in Greece and attacked the Israelites and the Egyptians.

The Israeli Shekel has existed for thousands of years. When Israel was re-established for the third time, Israel's leaders decided to return the currency of the Holy Land. BTW, The origin of the name "Shekel" (שֶׁקֶל) is from the ancient Biblical currency by the same name. 😊🕎

Palestinians are friendly and hospitable by nature, however the problem here is that a lot of Israeli secret service infiltrate disguising as tourists, consequently the locals are scared and might be not friendly. i wish you contacted some of the locals there prior to your arrival and you will see the hospitality and friendliness of the Palestinians. you are amazing brother for visiting this hot spot and you are welcome all over Palestine.

No, I am religious, I just don't like Islam. Ramallah was 100 percent Christian when founded 500 years ago, these Muslims are squatters, so it's funny they complain about Jewish settlers when you have Muslims with roots in the Arabian peninsula taking over what were once Christian cities, same for Bethlehem which was all Christian at one time. They are quick to blame it all on Israeli occupation, but nothing about Islamic radicalism.

I live in US and know someone with family in Palestine. He says phone calls are bugged and AI is everywhere. Their every move could be monitored. Part of the reception you're getting is fear. If they tell the truth of what's going on, they can get their homes raided, taken to jail and not seen for years.

Kudos for travelling there. What was your state of mind like? From the video, I could sense that you weren't very comfortable filming there and went the extra mile to greet people all the time in order to signal to them that you're a friendly tourist with no bad intentions. I don't blame you, I would've probably done the same. My only advice is to try not to overdo it with greetings and compliments, else some of them might think it's a cover. 😅

So many triggered israelis and Jews here! Lol. Ive been to palestine as well. And Jerusalam is the capotal of Palestine. The people are suffering from extreme PTSD. After everything they've been through They dont need to be on their best behaviour. They work extremely hard to meet basic needs. They are wary of cameras as they are constantly antagonised by security forces and can be in danger for no reason or frivolous reasons. Also you are 'white', clearly and may be Israeli, until you explain to them you're not, but even then theyll be apprehensive. Same with my group, when we visited, apprehensive but trying to put on a brave face. I always felt sad thinking i would be leaving but they would not have that freedom. I always find it says a lot about people that sometimes go to places were people are brutalised but expect them to meet their level of 'civility'. Try going to India, so much passive aggression there its unbelievable.

Was 2.5 months at Ramallah this year. People 100% are curious what ya doing here, why there. First time ever was always on centre of attention all the time. Met with lot of good people and was welcomed everywhere. Eating outside and renting airbnb(got 800eur off just asking) was still quite pricey. If you are not at summer time there then usually everybody use gas(cheaper) or electrical heaters. Also I needed to pay my electricity there, there have a modem where u charge a credit and then use it until it is done and need re-charge.
Visited Jericho and some how there was election times and I was ended up one of the party evening and that was quite the evening 150 locals and me, white person from Estonia. I was hitchhiking there two times, no need to waited too long to get on and trip back from Jerico to Ramallah up to mountains was awesome.
If u are make it to Isreal then they 100% ask where are u going and they listen u very carefully if you say West Bank and if you go back to the airport then they listen u over again.
Overall everybody are helpful, nice and up to talk.
Yeah I was held in the airport for 6 hours and went through all my destinations and videos with security and answered questions for hours.

On arrival I was placed in a room and passport removed. I was questioned for several hours on 2 occasions and in total took 6 hours.. on the way back out it wasn’t too bad .. just some questions then they put me on an earlier flight l
