- ET's Cassie DiLaura chatted with 'The Voice' winner Carter Rubin to find out what's next for him after finishing season 19 of the music competition. The 15-year-old reveals the advice Gwen Stefani gave him about the music industry and how Blake Shelton reacted to his fiancee's first win.

I loved Carter from the first moment. He deserved to win. I said he is an old soul. Because he is so wise and mature for his age, and also his voice, talent and personality are amazing. And I love Gwen too, so a perfect combination.

From the moment I heard Carter Rubin on The Voice in the blinds, I felt he was a winner. He was what the show embodies and even though the talent was incredible, Carter was clearly the best. I cried tears of joy when they called his name. I only voted twice and have been watching since the show began. For Tessanne Chin and Carter Rubin. I think that the age for the voice should be at least 18 years old . Yes Cartier was great and did a great job , but he has years to get to the top, but people like Ian or Jim had families to support and they time is coming to a end, Cartier has a whole life time ahead of him, just my opinion
Gwen Stefani is a goddess ..... one of the greatest and most unique musicians ever ..... and she's never been a cornball like Lady Gaga, Madonna, Beyonce, Katy Perry, and others ..... she belongs with the likes of Sade, Aretha Franklin, Aaliyah, and Pink
II am not saying that the young man isn't talented but the other finalists were as talented if not more so. When the audience is given the vote it becomes less of a talent contest and more of a competition between the judges. It isn't intentional but it happens. Every one of the finalists were as excellent as the other. It is just an opinion.
