they had troubled generating conversation stimulus.
They programmed "arguments" into their "relationship"
to make their lives seem "meaningful."
They could act "really mad" or "happy" or even "sad"
according to the current pre-fabricated social circumstances.
He had programmed his "personality"
to conform to adolescent trends.
She had synthesized her "emotions"
based on accepted teen sex-role characteristics.
They had copied all aspects of their behavior
from what they had observed in society.
Ego complex, insecurity syndrome

They were killed in an auto wreck as they were driving to and fro.
After drinking two beers, he was pretending to be "drunk."
While the local popular radio station
played the newest pre-designated, youth-oriented "top-forty hit,"
he was decapitated in an explosion of flames and glass fragments.
Her body was found crushed into the dashboard.
A mini-cam report described them as "fine youngsters."
They never got a chance to fulfill their "career dreams."

Their albums were widely distributed and name publicized, but they were a Post-Hardcore band during Hard-Core’s prime. Too abrasive for the punkers until the late 1980s Noise Rock opened their ears.
best versions of the songs here, way better than the Too Many Humans record. the performances here are insane
the first time i heard this record, i was just fucking blown away. i didn't even request it. my old room mate put it on. and i was like, WHO IN THE HELL IS THIS!???!

I bet a bunch hardcore kids mail ordered this because of the album cover and never knew what to make of it.
As a psychology undergrad, the social critique in teenlove blew me the fuck away, it's way too clever and deep for what most people would consider to be mindless music, this is plain poetry.

this comp crushes everything else... they did not make bands like NO TREND then and no band today can even come close... pure genius that stayed underground where it belongs. im surprised this is even up here but im glad it is!!
Its not as aggressive but check out Black Randy and the Metrosquad Pass the Dust I think Im Bowie. Did the whole anti punk thing long before No Trend or anyone else really.
Listen to DNA on DNA by DNA and you'll see the epitome of this movement.
@@ericks9979 Long before anyone else? That album came out in '79. People were shitting on punk before that, give me a break. Also doesn't have anywhere near the same vitriol or attitude as Flipper or No Trend.

I went from My War by Black Flag to Generic Flipper to No Trend. Therapeutic albums for hatred that I can't put into words. What's next?

I used to have a copy of the EP Too Many Humans: No Trend are one of DC’s finest.

I've been quite interested by Frank Price too, he seems like a very complicated enigma, sadly he seem's forgotten in the books, but for me, just listen to the FEELING in that guitar playing (and the band sacked him.. wtf?)
