Seeing them live was still amazing, but seeing both DT and In Flames multiple times over a quarter century, he was definitely the missing factor for the tour.

@@darktranquillitea939 ye, I wasn't a huge fan of his clean singing back in Projector LP, but damn he's really evolved and matured on that side of his singing, dunno what new DT will be like,,new lineup means different songwriting direction,,Mikael is the last remaining original member now

I am excited for what's to come, thinking that Johan Reinholdz contributes a big part of the songwriting now, which gives me high hopes for some fantastic Riffs and hopefully a bit more heaviness
Your comment reminds me of how I got into Gothenburg mdm. I was downloading shadows fall songs on limewire when I came across a weird song called shadow duet. At first taken aback at how strange it sounded compared to what I’d heard up until that point. Through that song I was introduced to DT and IF. It’s almost poetic the way the two bands that started it all for me merged in a way to re ignite my love for both bands with THE
Maybe try Aetherian, it's not the "Gothenburg sound" but really catchy melodies and a singer that knows what he's doing. Just not much clean vocals haha.

Had the chance to see these guys in a minuscule venue in Montreal on short notice a few months ago... Such a great experience to have these legends on small stages again after seeing In Flames for years in wide open 10k+ people outdoor crowds... Keep doing what you do gentleman, and Stanne is fucking KILLING IT.
Just saw DT live and they were incredible and played a great setlist. Absolutely no complaints. That said, anytime you put a legend like Jesper in your band it’s a hard act to top.

This came up as a recommendation, and I clicked on it. Thought "Hmm, this sounds like early In Flames or Dark Tranquility". Then I looked them up a bit - and thought "Well now, that makes sense!" Good to see that style being revived. Loved those bands 10-15 years ago, but they slowly lost me with their more modern albums. This peaked my interest again.
