Don’t buy from Amazon. Amazon sells cheaper so people won’t buy from bookstores like Barnes and Noble, eventually bankrupting those companies and being the primary book sellers where Amazon will then spike the prices super high.
Barnes and noble are the equivalent except Barnes charges full price. Barnes is putting independent bookstores out of business especially with all these booktubers supporting and advertising them so much. I recommend supporting independent bookstores. 💗
@@kurlykaitlynvery true. I didn’t consider all the free promo and customers they get must with booktubers, booktokers, etc. Good thing I shop at small secondhand bookstores in my city.
@@ericmontiel3234I get that, I used to do that to. But long term when Amazon succeeds at pushing out other bookstores, that $19 on Amazon will be $40 as they’ll be the main book selling company with no competition and they will skyrocket their prices.
Please don’t let Amazon to take out Barnes and Noble. You may pay a few dollars more, but you enjoy the book showroom, the feeling of browsing through pages and the atmosphere. You can’t put a price on that.
I highly recommend NOT starting with tress for your first Sanderson book. Normally his interconnected stories are just cute references and flavor text, but some things just straight up won't make sense in tress. If you want grand epic fantasy, fairy companions turning into swords, and grand scale battles, way of kings. If you want rags to riches, secret history, and toppling empires while finding your love at a ball, mistborn. I wouldn't really recommend any of his others books as starting points. Tress is one I'd explicitly recommend avoiding first though.
i disagree i read tress really enjoyed it and it motivated me to read his other works. i actually think it’s a great starting point to his world cause it’s separate enough to understand on its own.
I’ve been so sick the past few months and didn’t even realize the third book was out! Had to place an order for it and the Ali book before I even finished this short
Highly recommend Mistborn The Final Empire as your first Sanderson. People will tell you Tress of the Emerald Sea, but it's one of his latest novels and you get more out of it if you've read his earlier stuff.
Umm i have a question you know when there is a whole series that already came out do u guys buy the whole series or buy one book at the time cos i buy the whole series at once and my sister says thats weird so i kinda dont knwo 🤷♀️😅
OH MY GOSH! YOU MUST READ SOMETHING BY BRANDON SANDERSON! He is my all time favorite author! My favorites are Stormlight and Mistborn, Mistborn is easier to understand to get into his universe of books though, BUT YOU MUST READ A BOOK!
I live in France and bookstores here don't look anything like yours 😢 when I go there I feel like books are targeting old people only.... except for fantastic genre and manga/comics....
Hey beautiful love the video, but you shouldn’t buy books on Amazon. They sell it at a loss because their goal is to have a monopoly over the book market. They want bookstores to go out of business and then sell books for much more. 🫶🏻✨
@xoreign I apologise. She's not an enemy. She can buy whatever, wherever she wants. I merely wanted to point out one of the reasons why regular stores are closing and malls are abandoned. Also, thank you! I just realised I shouldn't even worry about this, I don't have kids.
i just wanted to let y’all know that you are loved by Jesus & that you are here for a reason!💗 “this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 🌸
Lmfao that's so embarrassing for you Dana. Book-lovers are influenced the same way make up-lovers are. Why would this be any less interesting than make up-hauls?

Essentially, Dumping
I mean I'm at a point where I love going to B&N, but when I find the Mistborn hardcover for $19 on Amazon, but $35 at the store, I'm going to Amazon.

Tress of the Emerald Sea and Yumi and the Nightmare painter are both absolutely amazing novels. I highly recommend them
the girl math is so real. I'd do the same 🤣 also, love the outfit ❤️
omg I love your outfit! +1 for Brandon Sanderson, Mistborn is so good. Thanks for sharing :)
MISTBORN IS AN AMAZING SERIES
ABSOLUTELY! I AGREE 100%, I do prefer Stormlight tho.

The Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson is SO GOOD, I just finished reading it for the 2nd time and I still LOVE IT
I read another book by him. I did not like how he wrote female characters at all. Is it any better in mistborn?
@@cinemaatrium3863 The main character in mistborn is a girl and personally I thought she was strong and there was lots of development
RIGHT!

8 books for the price of 6
the emperor's soul, you can probably finish that under 2 hours
That one $3 dilivery charge.

Wait that means ur buying 4 books for the price of 3 :O
Do you not have a local book store you can support? Amazon and Barnes and Noble…..nah
And this why bookstores are going extinct. Thank you girl with enough money.
Going for the cheaper option is the reasonable thing to do. Don't blame unrestricted capitalism on the individuals. You're fighting the wrong enemy.
