I'm excited for your new formula. Definitely appreciate your demeanour and attitude and you've made me check out a lot of games recently. As for death stranding, loved it but it didn't quite hold me to the end.
It's a very well crafted game, with an extremely interesting premise - worth playing, even if you do have put up with "Kojima-isms". Kojima is his own worst enemy. He has moments of artistic brilliance mixed in with equal amounts of stupid nonsense and purile humour. He'll craft exquiste action scenes and moments of genuine beauty, sorry and tension (think of the microwave corridor in MGS4, the ending of MGS3) genuinely good writing (think of the end of MGS2 and rationale of the Patriot AIs), and then the next have Johnny have diarrhoea in a can and name a villain "HotCold Man", which is to date one the stupidest names ever. Maybe it sounded better in Japanese. It doesn't sound good in English. He'll write interesting, multi-layered characters like Huey in MGSV and then have a bikini lady do a sexy dance in a cage in the rain for no reason other than "Hurr hurr, big boobs!". The visuals, the gameplay loop, the systems by which players can help each other in Death Stranding are truly excellent. Absolutely worth seeing. The mark of a genius. But then he calls a character "die hard man", and lets not forget the infamous: Spoilers: "Princess Beach" line. God that was awful. Death stranding is a great game, by a genuinely great designer, who also happens to have an incredibly un-even story telling ability. 50% of what he writes is gold. 50% is utter garbage.
This game was incredible. Combat is pretty mediocre and the story is complete nonsense but the gameplay loop is impecable and I honestly can’t wait for the sequel.
This game does deserve accolades for being completely batshit crazy.

I agree its a great game! It really was a on the edge of games creativity. so many aspects of this game was a first.
Risk of rain 2 soundtrack in the background- is fire
good job on this
I thought that the trendmill was already sad, now we have the walk simulator with 2 hours cutscenes every step...
