Been really excited since the pick, told the family on draft day that Puka’s cousin is about to snap in the pros. Super IQ dude learning from Kendricks, in a complicated zimmer system that he already fully understands since everyone’s overly impressed in camp. Just enough size to cover tight ends but also help with the run game. Him overshown and micah could develop into an insane trio of hard to read LBs with the right rotation. Obviously micah will rush a lot but zimmer really has the options to mess with QBs heads now with Kendricks here to help make sure everyone grasps the system while he gives us a couple more good years. With kneeland and Carson also performing like crazy this offseason this might be the most hyped I’ve ever been for the cowboys defense.

Great video! As a Notre Dame fan that watched Marist from his high school days until now, I have a slightly different take on his game. The one area that Irish fans would tell you kept Marist off the field as an underclassmen was his IQ. He was overly aggressive and did not read the play progression well. He has developed a lot in that regard this past season. I chuckle thinking that IQ is what gets pointed out as a strength today. Marist has a lot of the physical traits to be very successful in the NFL and as long as he continues to grow his understanding of the game, he could be a key player for the Cowboys for years.

From all accounts seems like Clark is playing great in camp who I think a lot of people thought might get demoted. Do you see them rotating LBs almost like a Dline rotation? Maybe Marist and Overshown as the nickle linebackers? Would be a shame to not get all 4 snaps and felt sad to see Overshown 4th on the depth chart but what do you with all the talent

I watched Marist Liufau play several times at Notre Dame. One thing that will not show up in the typical numbers is the intense national media pressure that players like Marist Liufau had to play under. You will never see that in most college programs. If you are not a top flight mental and physical talent, you are going to crumble and be gone in the transfer portal the next week.

If u r contending for a national championship just about every year and you are graduating your players at 22 points over the national average, u as a player have to be a SMART player on and off the football field.

Let's be fair...... We talk about what reads he should do but we don't know what his keys are for a given play. We can guess..... If his first key is the running back, then he sees play action and mirrors the QB while playing hook/Curl....... That's a way to handle the flood concept that usually happens when a QB breaks contain and still be ready in case the QB scrambles.
Trey didn't turn the ball over and was moving the offense. But, he needs to get more accurate with his throws. Part of that could have been rust, but he will have to get a lot better to be an NFL QB....js

Dallas changed Trey lance. I believe Trey wants to drop back and show off his arm range. Dallas wants him to pick teams apart. Which is read the coverage and find the right guy. That’s not really his game.

I'm watching what our guys can do and I'm sorry but Trey Lance was crap, he has no depth perception and with 4 interceptions, you should be able to capitalize on that at least twice.
