Chat Noir Work Log: Pt 2 The Pants

Chat Noir was a huge undertaking for me and involved some techniques that I wasn't familiar with, such as piping in a bodysuit.
Supplies:
1.5 yds of 4-way stretch Pleather
piping
Elastic
2 packs of double fold bias tape
Simplicity pattern 1036

I've been following your videos with great interest as I'm going to be cosplaying (hopefully) as Ladybug for Halloween!
However, I'm still debating on whether I can figure out a way to make it or not...
So, I was very excited to see on your website that you were taking commissions, and I will most definitely look into that option!
Now, not knowing how much you would want to do it (if I do take that route), or how long it takes to put it together, I was wondering what you would think about that, or, if you had any tips for me if I try to attempt it on my own.

Hey there! First, thank you! I'm glad my videos entertain and encourage!
Secondly, I know with mine took me about 4 days to make, so it definitely wouldn't take me very long. but it's hard to know without your measurements. I would fill out one of my commission forms at sunsetrogue.weebly.com and I can work with you that way :)

if you do attempt one my biggest advice is go over every seam twice and invest in a walking foot

I want to use stretch pleather for my Star Guardian Poppy cosplay and I've heard that the fabric is a bit hot and not breathable? What are your thoughts on this?

+shizusaki8 we can definitely vouch for this. It does not breathe at all. If you get black, being in the sun it awful and should be avoided as much as possible. But it looks amazing on film and fits on your body so nice. It really depends on what you're willing to sacrifice or not.
