The red package Shin Ramyun is just too damn good, especially with pork or egg added to it. The broth is unreal, but definitely spicy if you aren't use to heat!
I haven't tried putting an egg into it. Do you put it in raw and let it cook?
Yeah I usually put it in raw, and cook it in the broth for the last couple minutes like a poached egg. You can also quickly fry it and throw it in as well if your prefer the fried texture
try mixing an egg in when it's done, it turns the broth creamy

Shin Ramyun is the undisputed king of affordable noodles. It is really hard to go back to anything else when you realize how delicious it is.

Eduardo Cerna a lot of instant ramen is actually 2 servings in a pack. Some are 900mg per serving. So it’s more like 1800mg in one package. The creamy chicken flavor they tried has over 1200mg total.

But Maruchan Chili Ramen is a cheaper alternative.

@Y S123 The maruchan options are about 20 cents each, the Nissin about 25 cents and the Korean noodles about $1.25. Keep in mind the $20 estimate is for the entire event lol. The other soup options aren’t particularly expensive either.

Shin ramen is one of my favorites and go to. I love ramen with a passion and spicy is where it’s at. Sometimes I will sacrifice my other stock and double up the spicy on the one cup. I wish I could taste true ramen in Japan.
Just learn how to make it. That's why cooking is a super useful skill to develop.

This is pretty cool. The only type of instant Ramen i eat are the two that ended up at the end. lol.
Personally the Indomie Stir Fry Noodles are my favorite along with the Nongshim Soon Veggie Noodle ramen, but the Nongshim Red used to be a fav along with the Maruchan Beef and Cup Noodle Chicken flavor (I used to come home every day after school and watch HIMYM and eat this). Watching this made me really wanna try the Creamy Chicken flavor along with the Top Ramen Chili Flavor, but I think my first ever favorite was definitely the Maruchan Chicken flavor :) honorable mentions are the Maruchan Yakisoba Teriyaki Beef flavor and the Nissan Cup Noodles Stir Fry Teriyaki Chicken Flavor and also the Nissan Chow Mein Teriyaki Chicken flavor
Shin Ramyun and Indomie is the only one that’s every asian’s fave ramens. Mythicalbeasts needs to try more ramens other than Maruchan lmao

I feel like Maruchan or nissin is a great noodle for making your own unique ramen soup whereas the Shinramyun is just amazing by itself. Either way both are great imo
I feel like the noodle texture of Shin Ramyun. Is such a strong point for it as well as the general flavours.
In my opinion when I'm sick I prefer Maruchan because it's comforting when sick if I'm ever just in the mood I prefer Shin Ramyun

Nissin is the best as far as mixing with other snacks like Cheetos, Fritos etc. It's a jailhouse burrito technically but it's absolutely delicious with the end result.

The red Shin Ramyun instant ramen is my overall favorite ramen. So much spice and flavor and even the veggies to put in it pair amazing with slices of pork or beef and eggs 🤤

@Tenzin Nordon It's definitely popular here if you hang around people who eat instant noodles often. Every person I've met at my university (the area has alot of Asian influence) know that's the best one regardless of whether they were born in the US or not

I can't have ramen anymore, but maruchan always went directly from undercooked to soggy... The texture was gross!

@@stanleydrones They shouldn't have had a broth for the Indomie noodles, just dry style. It literally loses all it's flavour since they made it with broth

Nongshim is my favorite noodle brand. I discovered them when i was at an Asian market and saw this old Japanese lady buy like 10 things of the red one and I said welp I know what I'm gettin.

Those shin noodles are fantastic, I can't get enough of them here in the UK.
Shin Ramyun is an experience. I tried it after this video. As someone who doesn't like spice it's balanced perfectly as added flavor. My favorite is Bone Broth. I even drink the broth it's so good. If you do like spice you are really going to enjoy this soup.
Haven't seen the whole video yet (only the intro + contestant) but there is no way Nongshim doesn't win. It's not in the same league as the others... not even close.
We have box of twenty packs of ramen in our house, and we ONLY eat Nongshim. It is by far the best one.
Yeah nongshim is about 5x the price
Absolutely. I think the only reasons Nongshim wasn’t the number 1 seed going in were that it’s so expensive, and Maruchan is a more well-known brand.
Creamy chicken has that Garlic Parmesan type of flavor to it imo and I love it so much but my overall favorite is the Maruchan Chili

Indomie Mi Goreng Instant Fried Noodles are by far the best noodles I’ve ever had they are so underrated! No one knows about them!

DUDE I remember when my dad & I discovered fried noodles at our local store. We loved them so much we called them “treasure”. Then when they disappeared we switched to Mi Goreng noodles. We used to buy them often, but slowed down as each pack is now more than $1 each.

I personally like the Taiwanese brand with the guy wearing the bandana, Daniel-San style. Their noodles are spiced, in addition to the spice packets.
The Korean ones aren't bad, but their flavors taste similar no matter which you choose.
You haven't tried a lot of ramen then.
