hey, i work at subway and it all depdns on the person making it lol, subway does have certain standars but because of how subway is managed with only two people working at a time and with most products having to be prepped, it allows alot of leeway for the worker if the sandwich was made properly it should have been much bigger than that

I don’t even eat at subway and I knew right away it was $17. A basic turkey footlong in Michigan is over $10, so I knew “The Beast” with California prices would easily be over $15

I recently ate a Big Kahuna at Jersey Mikes. While a bit more expensive, Subway can shove their Outlaw sandwich somewhere. No comparison.

They are much cheaper in small towns unless you live right next to a major highway. It depends on location and franchise owner, I can get 20 nuggets and fries for $8.50 at one location and it costs like $15 at another.

In France it's more expensive for a big mac meal than it is for a lunch menu in a bistro for a quality burger a coffee and a glass of wine and a dessert!

They’re the second largest fast food chain globally
They have two employees working at a time and can fit in any nook or cranny building they feel like. The overhead has to be so low.
Private equity is slowly sucking it dry until it collapses entirely. Subway is dying, they're just being bled dry slowly by financial leeches.
Subway as a whole is probably okay. They have chains globally. But there are a ton that are closing, with some franchises looking to file for bankruptcy from I understand
they are almost solely franchise owned, so i think they are padding the blow of how terribly they're doing by leeching the franchise owners dry instead.
Subway ended up wowing them, but not the way they wanted. 🤣
