I've looked through the commentaries to find nothing mention about doing laundry with Pine-Sol. I used to work in a manufacturing plant, during the summers I would perspire heavily. Regular detergents did not take out the perspiration stench, but Pine-Sol did.

Actually if you go to the website it will tell you. It does not disinfect when diluted. You have to use it as is in bottle for disinfecting. It will make your sheets and towels smell clean but does not disinfect them in the wash, I mix with water and spray sparingly on my carpet areas for a long lasting clean fresh smell.

Deodorizing and disinfecting are different processes. 😁 But yes, if trying to disinfect, PineSol has to be undiluted on non porous surface. 💜

A couple of other 'uses'... I spray non-deluded/straight Pine-Sol all along the foundation and five or six inches of the ground around the foundation and it keeps ants out of your house. We always had issues with black ants, but in the last couple of years I have sprayed a few times during that season (April-October here in the Northeast) and no more ants. It also keeps the chipmunks, mice and squirrels out of mulch beds and away from the house. We always had mice issues as well, but not since I've been doing this in the last couple of years.

The smell, years ago back in the day, used to be WAAAYYY PINIER, with a much sharper, more bitter, medicinal smell of pine; it was actually not very pleasant. So somewhere along the way, they reinvented the scent, to make it more pleasant to our noses. For that I'm thankful, but when I started using it just a short time ago, I kind of missed that other smell, because THAT was the smell of clean to me. Today I add a splash to my laundry, and it comes out smelling amazing!

Do not use Pine-Sol on or in your garbage cans if you live where bears are known to raid? Bears like the smell of pine. Use ammonia and that will also help ( not 100% ), to keep other animals, as well as bears , out of your garbage. The best answered is a bear proof garbage bin with added electric unwelcome mats.

I let my mother talk me into buying the lemon scent... She tried to tell me the original smelled like old people. I love the pine scent! However, I settled for the lemon one... I will be buying the original one next time I'm at the store. Especially since the lemon doesn't disinfect like the original. We'll just have to start keeping both on hand. Pine oil causes respiratory issues in many types of small animals, such as my bunny, so I won't be using the original near him. However... it should be just fine around the cat and dog.

It doesn’t have pine oil in it any more. You have to track down the original formula.

I wish I could remember for sure. I don't think it did, but I'm not 100% sure. I did another for fun video about Pine-Sol and the first thing I did was pop off the lid. I just don't remember if I had to remove a seal first. I'll pay attention next time and let you know or you can check in the store to see if there's a seal. It seems like there would be. It would be bad to have it leak...

Ah, yes, I commented above about this…. Pinalen does however still contain real pine oil, is also approved for laundry, and I’m finding renders the same excellent results… with the exception of disinfecting. Pinalen isn’t a disinfectant.
