I went back to grease one year ago and my hair has thrived. It grew an extra five inches! No more fads for me again, just the old school basics. I just discovered your channel and I love your content!❤️
I use this on both of my son's 2b hair and it works amazing. I apply a leave in, hair grease and then I cornrow it. My youngest gets itchy scalp on the top of his hair, he scratches so much it formed a sore. So one day I stared applying hair grease to the area and his itching stopped and his scalp healed really well.
Great tip! I have started applying grease on my scalp with a mixture of some good oils and it has been working great for my scalp so far. I have not experienced any itchiness or product build up.
I’m so happy I went back to the old-school way of caring for my natural hair and that is with Blue Magic grease. I bought the one with the Indian hemp and also this one that’s featured in your video. It left my twist outs so very soft, shiny and defined! I only use water, leave in conditioner and blue magic grease. Game Changer! Your hair is absolutely beautiful and healthy!🥰 *New subbie here☺️
Use a gentle clarifying shampoo. condition wash out recondition water conditioner and blue magic. Please never apply blue magic 2 dirty hair and use a little
@@myrthasmascary4086 There's nothing wrong with using grease on the scalp. If you read the label on the jar it says hair and scalp conditioner. I understand that not everyone can tolerate hair grease on the scalp but think about it. Back in the day people grease their hair and scalp and they had big huge thick, full, beautiful afros. A few years ago I shaved all my hair off all the way down to my scalp I had a fade. I used hair grease on my scalp and my hair grew really fast. The minute I stopped greasing my hair and scalp. That's when my hair started to suffer. Listening to all these natural hair gurus saying don't use grease. I ended up with bald spots and a ton of shedding but when I started back using grease on my hair and scalp. My hair started to thrive and still thriving. If you apply grease on your scalp you just have to use a very small amount it won't hurt.
What type of leave in conditioner do you use? I’m new to the loose hair(I’ve combed out my locs after 12years), so I’m still trying to figure out what I need to use.
I rediscovered grease, ** specifically this blue magic and my hair is thanking me. I have a similar hair type to yours. A real 4c and we need extra help to seal in moisture for it to stay! I use it with a leave in conditioner. Thank you for sharing!
My absolute favorite Blue Magic grease is the shea Butter one, it more of a butter or creamy feel to it and it smells really sweet, makes my hair super soft. I love it!!
I just bought this grease for the first time yesterday for my hair and my daughter to see what happens! Thank you🙌🏽 The super sure grow the one I bought 👍🏽
I started using Blue magic faithfully in January of this year. (2024) Its now July, and i didn't realize how thin my hair was in January until I tracked my growth. My hair feels thicker at the roots, my edges wemt from non existent to filling out, and an inches longer. Mixing it with castor oil helps Alot. My hair (4a/4b) gets too dry when I use the cream leave in conditioners though. Liquid leave in conditioner, with castor oil and blue magic workss wonders for me. ❤ Even if my hair feels dry it still looks moisturized with blue magic so I know it's product build and I need a clarifying wash. I'm going to add Amla oil and rosemary to my routine and see what happens. ❤
Im sold on this comment alone because I don't have edges, I have wishes. But it's my own fault for laziness😅 ima buy this blue magic and try to always make time for my hair
I recently combed out my locs and have decided to go back to using the original products I used as a child. Grease, Mane n’ Tail products, water, natural oil, shampoo, and conditioner. That’s it! I have this blue magic and the original one. Same thing with my face. I’ve recently started back using Vaseline and my face has slowly started to recover from years of breakouts, dark spots, etc.
I am with you on that. The most effective alternative is usually what we know worked in the past. It still does work now if we tried😊😍so I 💯percent agree with you
@@gertrudekoduah4638 Pay more attention to your scalp, make you its clean and moisturised. Try not to do tight styles or put tension on your scalp or edges.
Hi Barbara, your hair looks amazing!! I would love to know how often you would do this in a given week...would you retwist it at night in the same way, or can you hold the style for a few days? Would love to know how you wear and style it during the week.
Great question. Thank you for the compliment on my hair. I do this once a week. I don't retwist my hair at night. I just put my hair in a loose bun and then wear my satin bonnet. This style can last me a whole week, still hydrated. The next time I apply this product and twist my hair is when I wash my hair which is on Sunday's.
New subie here😀. I have been using grease for a while, the indian hemp version, I don't like it cos it makes my scalp itchy, I guess it's because of the hemp in it tho because you can literally see the leaf inside and it's very very very thick. I intend switching to a different brand that is lighter probably the castor oil or this one. Sincerely, I agree it really seals moisture. Lovely hair you've got.
Thank you for joining the fam.🤗 Yeah this grease is lighter for sure. You are right, the Indian hemp does itch my scalp too. Thank you for your support on this channel
Great video! You hair looks really good and you're a beautiful black woman! Please tell me about the music. Who is singing? I am definitely thinking about returning to grease. It grew my hair when I first went natural then I got sidetracked by all the other products on the market.
My first time watching i wish you could show the before and after,There are so many hair growth programs out there a lot of people out there want there hair to grow but to buy all that product is not the answer !!!!!!!!
This was my first time using this particular Blue magic. This product helps seal in moisture and in the end retention in your hair growth. It does not grow hair. I have a genuine video on how I have grown my hair please check it out. I am not into growth programs or buying certain products that are hyped. I am a simple easy going natural who wants to share her experience.
Check out Mrs. Mississippi! She explains her hair growing method in great detail! She used the green Blue Magic grease to grow her hair to tail bone length! She washes he hair twice a week but never less than once a week! I'm thinking about trying it once week! But I just heard about clove water so I'm waiting to get my order in the mail to see how that works because I've seen really good success stories using it and some mother's us it to grow their toddlers hair too!
hiii. I am a guy with 4c hair about 3 inches, what product do you suggest i use to moisturize my hair every day before i comb it. i have blue magic and i got dandruff from using it every day and over greasing my hair(i thought it was an everyday moisturizer)
Hey! And welcome to my channel. I think with 4c hair, all I can recommend is moisturising first with water or a leave in conditioner then apply grease. But I wouldn’t recommend for you to use grease everyday because grease is not a moisturiser. 4c hair loves water as a moisturizer. After you comb your hair, do some mini twists so the your hair remains stretched. When your hair is in a stretched form, moisture penetrates effectively than when you leave it out to air dry.
I find it quite funny that so many black women are going back to hair grease and being surprised at how great it works on their hair, especially when majority of us grew up on hair grease. Its like we have some sort of amnesia, or perhaps we were so young we didn't quite comprehend or care that it worked so well when we were children. The phrase that says "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" surely does apply here. Also it makes sense though when you stack up a product like hair grease thats likely been around for possibly 80 years verses these new products thats only been around for the last 15 years. Of course old school is going to win every time. Its a shame so many women called certain ingredients in hair grease bad without even researching what they were originally used for and why they are actually needed and beneficial. But anyway since going back to hair grease I'm not ever abandoning it again.😂😂
I saw this in African store and I bought it 😂. Want to do mini twist for my first Outsider nominee award ceremony invitation from She Summits. So happy y'all 😳😱🫡💪. I don't like gels on my hair ew 😩
It doesn’t make it grow faster from the root, but it prevents unnecessary hair breakage... so in the end your hair will be longer with this if you handle your hair properly
