Supporting this decision by Assam government. We are suffering a lot. We cannot compete in terms of marks with the post COVID batch. During that period the papers were evaluated by colleges themselves and there were tendency of giving more marks. We can clearly see this divide in marking pattern in the recent assistant professor interviews in colleges,where in fact the Ph D holders are not getting the job due to low API. Marks of some of the newly established universities students are very high in comparison to those old universities in Assam. There is no single grading formula followed by all universities. We are the victims of the marking system. It is the conflict between the old and new students. Every year this division is increasing. So I strongly agree with this decision. Yes there can be changes in the syllabus and provision regarding Ph D students. I am a research scholar, but I stand with this decision. Thank you for bringing this. But I request to make it in proper manner like other states in India

Great decision by the respected Government of Assam. A recruitment screening test has been there in many other states of India for the post of Assistant professor. It should be implemented as soon as possible. API system is crap and cannot be undone as it counts marks from class 10. Even if we want, we cannot improve it. I have met only Msc passed students who have better API points than students who had cleared phd. It's a reality. I hope everyone understands and lets the government imply it as soon as possible. Think again before protesting, the recruitment test will give equal opportunity to everyone, irrespective of what grades we hold in class 10, 12 and Bsc. Thank you.

As per UGC guidelines, the minimum eligibilty criteria is NET/SLET/PhD (i.e. NET/SLET is exempted for PhD candidates)....but eikhon draft t okol NET/SLET qualified manhu k e eligibile buli dhora hoise...what about the eligibility of PhD candidates? Also, the syllabus should be changed...30% GS and 70% subject oriented hobo lage...PRC related o eku likha nae draft khon t...
